Episode 5....Yawn! I don’t mind it. Episode 5 wasn’t that bad in my opinion.

I am still entertained through 5 episodes. I imagine the critics who need to be validated might disagree.

This is how I feel. I think I enjoyed Season 1, but 2.5 episodes into this one and I'm throwing in the towel. Very disappointing.

I've just watched the three episodes of season one. Totally unlike me to watch these series but it's wintertime and I'm trying to stay up later so I'm not waking up at 3am every morning. It's entertaining enough but Cruise was much more convincing. This guy is just a roids beast and anyone can see that and it's just distracting. Then the little blonde cop girl. She looks like my 14 year old niece. Casting is bad, writing is pretty good with some of the exchanges between the characters. I'll stick with it and see how long I can stand the bad casting in spite of good writing. Someone mentioned this guy is so roided up he can't move which is why all the fight scenes are so disjointed. They have to stop filming to put Gumby in the next fighting stance. "Fixed fortifications are monuments to mans stupidity" - George S. Patton

My Amzn Prime subscription ends Jan. 2nd. I'm going not going to be able to see the remaining episodes. After enduring the first 5, I'm not losing any sleep over it. Wooden acting. One dimensional characters. Ridiculous plot. Not really a disclosing a spoiler here, but I laughed out loud at the scene in Episode 5 when Reacher is flashing back to his undercover operation with Swan. They are in a warehouse posing as drug dealers trying cut a deal for some heroin with some bad guys when an Uber Eats driver shows up with the take out order for one of the bad guys, the driver recognizes Swan and outs him as a cop, blowing his cover. I know you need some level of suspended belief for a lot of movies and shows, but having take out delivered to a warehouse in the middle of a heroin deal?? _____________________________________________________________________ “One of the common failings among honorable people is a failure to appreciate how thoroughly dishonorable some other people can be, and how dangerous it is to trust them.” – Thomas Sowell

Never miss an opportunity to be Batman! |
I think the fight scenes this season are bad and probably due to Alan Ritchson bulking/muscling up too much like a body builder....looks great but can't move or bend. I didn't make it past episode 2 of season 2. I may force myself to watch it but there is a lot wrong with the second season compared to the first. Chris Hemsworth did a video showing and contrasting the different workouts he did preparing for Thor and a completely different fight/movement workout for the Extraction movies.

Entertaining enough for us. Kind of reminds me of an 80s action movie like Commando or something similar. Fun to watch but don’t think too hard about it.

Short. Fat. Bald. Costanzaesque. |
I remember shows like '24' that had me sitting by the TV waiting for the next episode. Then we have Reacher, and I forgot there was going to be another episode. I guess I'll watch it this afternoon. ___________________________ He looked like an accountant or a serial-killer type. Definitely one of the service industries.

I'm still shaking my head over that one as well. I kept thinking, that delivery guy has to be part of the gang, but when the smoke clears and he is still standing, I'm saying to myself that that has to been the dumbest, most ridiculous scene I've watched in this series, so far. It pushes the 'level of suspended belief' off the charts. It shows to me that the producers, director, actors whatever, don't care about the quality of the entertainment they are trying to present. _____________________________ "The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living." I like how Reacher is always involved in with cops who manage to be ok with him killing a couple of dozen dudes. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

The acting is just torturous to watch. I enjoy seeing assholes get pummeled as much as the next guy, but I’m not sure I can take much more of season 2 (I’ve watched episodes one and two). __________________ "Owning a handgun doesn't make you armed any more than owning a guitar makes you a musician." -Jeff Cooper

I was looking forward to seeing Season 2. After watching the episodes I am concerned. The first season series was enjoyable because of the obvious unfairness toward Reacher. The bad guy was unknown. The family connection was compelling. The superhuman strength was just believable enough. Now after four season 2 episodes I am not anywhere near the same engagement. The writing is wooden as is the acting. The bad guy is obvious. The team under attack makes no sense. ------- Trying to simplify my life...

Yeah, with Amazon not releasing an entire season at a time, I also forgot there are episodes left.

It isn't as good as season 1. I am still enjoying it. Yes the delivery driver scene was retarded on many levels. When was the last time a door dash/delivery person did anything other than hand you the bag at the door? Screen writers should be scared of AI, even a brain dead computer could come up with better ideas.

Woke elements seeping in and the fight scenes are just not credible. Agree about acting and overall, getting worse every episode

And they just killed off the most interesting character (the NY cop). __________________ "Owning a handgun doesn't make you armed any more than owning a guitar makes you a musician." -Jeff Cooper

It's silly and dumb, but I'm oaky with what it is. I like that it's "self aware" (they know that it's silly and dumb), the Sarah Connor joke and the "He's like that angry cop..." lines showed that.
