Run Silent Run Deep |
UGH...this season is painful... It's like watching a Joe Dirt version of Mission Impossible. Reacher is like David Puddy... My wife asked why he takes such little steps when he walks. I said its because he's steroided out and muscle bound...cant bend, has no flexibility. So even the action scenes are limited because the guy can't fucking move. _____________________________ Pledge allegiance or pack your bag! ^^^^^^^ Good to know it’s not just me. I want to like it but am not familiar with the books, just the Cruise filmsand my distinguished Sifgorum brothers comments. Can’t remember shit about season one but the fact that iwould give this one an opportunity. So far, it sucks 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20

I read the book and don't remember it well enough to tell you. I can say I read the reviews here and assumed it would suck. Then I watched the first three episodes and was entertained. This is a rough crowd. I think this season is going fine so far and recommend it. The Reacher books aren't exactly the pinky pointing, tea drinking, literary works of art some of you seem to think they are. They are fun stories that don't actually seem possible or likely if you look too deeply into them. They are the literary equivalent of popcorn and I treat this series the same way. This is a fun series. Go watch it.This message has been edited. Last edited by: pedropcola,

I think it’s fair to say this season is loosely based on the book. Very loosely. We found it entertaining. So far anyway

Hoo Wee. This is somethin else. Rough. Script lines are sophmoreic. I'll watch it, but only because I can't really get around too well currently.

Happily Retired |
The wife and I just finished season one. We will watch the next season mostly because its winter and too cold to be outside much. Sorry, but this guy is just Ok in my opinion. Cruise has the role nailed. I don't care how old he gets. .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.

Partial dichotomy |
I watched episode 3 last night and enjoyed it. I get some of the complaints, but at the same time, I don't expect oscar performances. So, the question is....is Swan with the good guys or the bad guys?

I agree, Cruise played the part better in my mind of Reacher...despite his small size.

Short. Fat. Bald. Costanzaesque. |
Was a nice reference to James Barr without going into any detail. "Ran into him last year". (I probably messed up the line) ___________________________ He looked like an accountant or a serial-killer type. Definitely one of the service industries.

I can't get past the fact that he's always sweaty, even when he's not beating someone up. Must be the steroids.

s2 is entertaining but isn't horrible, there are some shortcomings. Ritchson's portrayal was much better in s1, this season, with more action sequences his physical stiffness shows. His dialogue is much more wooden, very little of Reacher's personality comes through despite being around long-time familiar friends; there's only so many laconic lines and smirking one can do . The scene at the gun shop was a turn-off, the dialogue in-general is very basic with a fair amount of exposition, the middle episodes plod along.

Season 2 is complete garbage. I don't remember much about Season 1 other than it was watchable, even interesting at times. Season 2 has a script written by D list writers with corny, cliche one liners sprinkled in between amateur hour action sequences. It's an awful copycat of Burn Notice without the eye candy of Gabrielle Anwar.

Savor the limelight |
The T-800 had more personality than Reacher. Reacher'd fail a Voigt-Kampff Empathy Test at the first question.
