Without spoilers…is it staying true to the book? (If you read it)

It's like watching a Joe Dirt version of Mission Impossible.
Reacher is like David Puddy...
My wife asked why he takes such little steps when he walks. I said its because he's steroided out and muscle bound...cant bend, has no flexibility. So even the action scenes are limited because the guy can't fucking move.

I read the book and don't remember it well enough to tell you. I can say I read the reviews here and assumed it would suck. Then I watched the first three episodes and was entertained. This is a rough crowd.
I think this season is going fine so far and recommend it.
The Reacher books aren't exactly the pinky pointing, tea drinking, literary works of art some of you seem to think they are. They are fun stories that don't actually seem possible or likely if you look too deeply into them. They are the literary equivalent of popcorn and I treat this series the same way.
This is a fun series. Go watch it.This message has been edited. Last edited by: pedropcola,

Hoo Wee. This is somethin else. Rough. Script lines are sophmoreic. I'll watch it, but only because I can't really get around too well currently.

Sorry, but this guy is just Ok in my opinion. Cruise has the role nailed. I don't care how old he gets.
I agree, Cruise played the part better in my mind of Reacher...despite his small size.

So, the question is....is Swan with the good guys or the bad guys?
I was waiting for the scene returning the "borrowed" guns, guess they ain't done with em yet.
s2 is entertaining but isn't horrible, there are some shortcomings.
Ritchson's portrayal was much better in s1, this season, with more action sequences his physical stiffness shows. His dialogue is much more wooden, very little of Reacher's personality comes through despite being around long-time familiar friends; there's only so many laconic lines and smirking one can do . The scene at the gun shop was a turn-off, the dialogue in-general is very basic with a fair amount of exposition, the middle episodes plod along.

Season 2 is complete garbage. I don't remember much about Season 1 other than it was watchable, even interesting at times. Season 2 has a script written by D list writers with corny, cliche one liners sprinkled in between amateur hour action sequences.
It's an awful copycat of Burn Notice without the eye candy of Gabrielle Anwar.
