Ah, yeah, it certainly is aggravating. I drank the Kool-Aid and have both a Sub and a Compact.

The Sub works fine after an initial trip to Sphinx when they were providing CS and communication.

Really, really nice pistols. I just hope neither ever needs any factory/warranty work again.

F/Y/I, I also see that on the Kriss USA site Defiance is no longer listing the H.A.L.O sights. Hopefully this is just until they make them available in the USA, if that ever happens.

Glad i picked up these Swiss beauties when I did. Especially the Duotone.

Yes, now might be a great time to buy a Sphinx if you want the original Swiss made version. Damn fine guns. Looking forward to getting my hands on an American made one to compare.

I've given up on Sphinx and Kriss for customer service. After sending my Subcompact in and receiving it back with the same problem, hearing others have these problems, and the company not willing to fix it, I've determined if I'm going to own one, to factor in the price for different sights and zero customer service. Not to say some didn't try to help but they didn't get it done. No excuse for such an expensive and high quality pistol.

I'm just back from the range with my DuoTone; what a spectacular pistol! Rapid fire follow-up is amazing.

I might rag hard on Kriss for their vapor-products and no communication, but Sphinx pistols are fantastic.

Besides no night sights, people on the Sphinx FB page are hollering about no pistols of any kind being available.

I totally understand, believe me, I do. Fair points. You can't do just parts of the package, it's got to be the complete package, especially in the price ranges we are at. I'd still put the Sphinx against any modern manufactured gun and what you get for your dollar. Don't see any others out there offering what they do for the price. All just my opinion of course. Still like my HKs though.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my subcompact, wish I had another, and may buy more Sphinx pistols but I am going to make noise about the slop in hopes the right person will hear it, fix it, and keep others from having to lose faith in the name brand. Sort of like whenSig half-asses something. Wink

My son and I shot both my Duotone and Alpha Compacts last week. Both were absolute tack drivers. I have a number of DA/SA pistols from several makers and these Sphinx pistols are the easiest to shoot well period. Both of us also couldn't help but admire the fit/precision of these pistols.

I really hope Kriss/Sphinx gets it together.

From the Sphinx Facebook page (in response to numerous complaints regarding sights failing to properly regulate to POI and lack of available night sights): "We are already in talk for third party production of night sights."

KRISS and Sphinx are getting a lot of heat from consumers regarding poor customer support on these issues on social media. Hopefully, they'll resolve the issues. If not, I don't care how well designed these pistols are, a poor reputation for CS will harm their ability to sell these pistols to new customers.

Their FB "talking" comment was met with derision by their own customers.

Could someone put up a link to the Facebook page. Seems like there are several Facebook accounts and I am not seeing this discussion.

Thanks MusProd, I read and agree with some of the comments. Like to see some different sights myself and some more holster options. The CS issues have real potential to put off buyers. A good friend saw a subcompact at a gun show this weekend near Ft Myers they were asking $939.00. He is looking for a pocket single stack so the sub was not something he was interested in anyway.

I am one day of those making comments on Facebook. I hoped it might spur action on their end but did so with little confidence that it would.

It was time for a stupid, futile action, so I just put my DuoTone up for sale on the classifieds.

I probably should have mixed feelings about selling such a fine pistol, but I don't. My distaste for Kriss has become so great that I just don't want to own any of its products.

My selling my DuoTone will not affect Kriss in any way, but I will feel better. My Subcompact might go next as I also have a very nice P239 SAS 2nd Gen.

Sorry it didn't work out for ya, MP.
It shouldn't last long at that price. They had become almost impossible to find before the Sphinx/Kriss announcement. I expect these Swiss made guns to quickly have collector value.

While I share the frustration of others with Kriss/Sphinx regarding CS and the sights issue. I am unwilling to let mine go, it's just too much fun shooting it. So I will wait impatiently and hope they get it together sooner than I expect. I have a Sand SDP Compact and don't see it leaving here anytime soon. I am considering the sub but also a CZ Rami for ccw.

You'll only get complete agreement from me on the very high quality and shooting experience of the SDP line. Kriss just rubs me wrong, so my futile protest sale is only to make me feel better, as it won't affect Kriss at all.

I have other very high quality pistols, so I won't suffer.

Another forum member showed possible interest yesterday in my Subcompact, so I just contacted him with a right of first refusal. If he passes, I will list my Subcomact, mags and holster in the classifieds.

Enjoy your Sand SDP. It is a fine pistol.
