I use Lucas.

Unlike some firearm products that have led to my pistols locking up solid after sitting on a shelf (when the lube turned to glue), the automotive-style greases and oils have worked well, and they're inexpensive, and come in small containers that are handy for the range.

Check out Prolix Lubricants. First heard about them years ago in a book on Glocks written by David Kasler. They make a cleaner and lube in one. They also make a slightly thicker fluid that comes in a small dropper bottle that I use as well as a final lube as I’m reassembling the firearm. I believe this product is called Xtra-t. Great stuff. Biodegradable, pleasant odor. Use on all my firearms and have never had any issues. As an added bonus, Bench Made sells it - under their own brand name - for their excellent knives.

I’m currently using Lucas Extreme Gun Oil, and have been quite happy with it. I’ve previously used Hoppes, Militec, TW25, LubriPlate, and a few others. They all work pretty well. I just avoid the CLP/cleaner and lube in one stuff. In my mind, cleaning and lubrication are two distinct things that require different products.

Ballistol. It works great, does not harm plastics wood and is good for leather. Plus it is non toxic . For rails and slides I use Lubriplate grease.

I followed para’s good advice several years ago. Slip 2000 EWL is pretty good stuff. My favorite!

ALG very thin grease, been using it for years, think it’s the best stuff out there.

A gun lubricated today will be perfectly lubricated 2 years from now without touching it. Gun oil dries up and disappears , thin grease stays put.

Slip 2000 EWL. Just because it was the flavor of the year. I honestly don't think my guns care what oil I use. I still have a big bottle of FP-10 and a couple Militec sample bottles left that I would also use.

No matter what oil, I put them in these-

I have been using Tri-Flow for a very long time now.

There are probably a dozen others that are just as good, but I have not found one I like better

Break Free CLP is my go to because I wait until I get a screaming deal, then buy a gallon. Last time it was a gun store going out of business, and I think I got it for $50. A good CLP does everything I need done, and lubricates the tightest rails and parts. A gallon lasts me about a decade, so I'm set for a while.

I do use specialty cleaners, but that's for another thread.

Interesting to see all sorts of products that folks are satisfied with.
My take away is that it probably doesn't matter much which product As long as you keep the gun lubed ( and fairly clean).

2 parts Full-Synthetic 20W50 motor oil, one part full-synthetic ATF (Mercon V, Dex VI, etc). Our dept armorer brought this recipe back from a Colt class, and I've used it exclusively for years. It doesn't evaporate (at least not for a LONG time), doesn't freeze or gum up, and does a good job of staying where you put it. As an added bonus, it cost me about $5 to make a bottle, and it's lasted for years.
