I still haven’t scoped it and fired it, but I plan to rectify that soon. I love it for what it is, but it definitely was not a needed or even a particularly practical acquisition.

Come on, man! I've been using my A-Bolt Medallion in the fields and swamps of eastern NC for 30 years. After all those years, it still looks extremely pretty.
Scope it and take it hunting!

A good retired Army SFC, Vietnam vet had one when I was at Hood. I’ve wanted one since. Almost had one a few summers ago from GB but got outbid. Yes, it cost more than my last several cars. But you only live once.

got one, fantastic shooter,

if you are ever in the RVA or Charlottesville area, I'll take you to the range (rrpc.org)

wanted a SIG AMT and or a PE 57 for years
had a chance for each years ago, but it slipped thru my fingers,

did recently pick up a 510-4 Chilean kit build, with a TTE (?,,, going from memory) receiver,

filled the void at 1/2 the cost,

I want one right now. I want something "different" for no good reason.

The struggle is real.

Galil ARM. The wood handguard, carry handle, and bipod are just so cool to me. I should’ve bought one instead of an SAR

I own “enough” (some might say too many) guns to be “happy”, but just like with puppies and kittens you can always be happier by adding just one more!

Some would say there is no “practical” reason in my case for any gun other than my EDC and maybe an AR or shotty for the bigger bumps in the night. I guess it all hinges on one’s definition of “practical”.

At some point I guess we all decide what we want to spend our spending money on. Over the years I bought the guns I liked for one reason or another and as it turns out I am glad I did because half the ones I have can no longer be legally acquired in my state (WA Mad)

That was in 1992…

I bought one of those Norinco 1911’s about that same time frame, damn they were a deal!

Ditto again! I am now up to 5 or 6 guns I have yet to put a round through.

Same place I am in, recently retired and at 62 I’ve realized that other than one grandson with some interest in guns, I have no one to “bequeath” them to. I’m not really looking forward to the idea of moving them all across country in a couple of years (God willing) to GTFO of WA state so I really should start paring down the collection.

Multiple P22x DA/SA, some nice oddities (HK P7, Bruce Gray P229 Stainless), HK DA/SA, and way too many P320 FCU/components as well as multiple P365.

Unfortunately the same laws that make it difficult to buy a gun around here make it difficult to sell one (or more) as well Mad

Of course, I didn’t let that keep me from recently getting one of my long time “I want…” guns (P245) from another member here (still in quarantine). At least I’ve promised myself that with this one I will make a point of putting rounds down range with all of my “virgins” before the end of the year.

Another “ditto” for me. Don’t hunt, though always hoped I would be able to at some point hence my “need” for the Marlin 45/.70 big loop guide gun and Savage .308 bolt (Savage has yet to be shot)

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

And I want the G19 and optic issued to the Bureau.

Well, the P220 in 9mm Steyer weren't going to buy themselves...

Or the P226 in 7.65mm...

Or the P228 in 9x21...

Or the P220 in 45 HP...
