Ruger has announced a new 10+1 variant of the LCP 2 called the LCP Max. Still a .380 and they say it’s the same footprint, but based on the spec sheet it looks like the Max is just a touch wider. This is definitely not a product I’m interested in personally and with the wide availability of micro-9 pistols it would be impossible for me to justify it. But it’s kind of interesting to see someone push the double stack micro-9 concept to a .380 and regardless of my personal desire for a gun it’s always cool to see new guns being introduced IMO. https://ruger.com/products/lcpMax/models.html “Everybody wants a Sig in the sheets but a Glock on the streets.” -bionic218 04-02-2014

Thank you for posting this information. I have a LCPII and like it a lot, never any problems. After I see the LCP Max, I may trade up. 美しい犬

I didn’t watch the video but that’s not mentioned in any of the text that I saw. That would be a very good feature for a gun like this though. “Everybody wants a Sig in the sheets but a Glock on the streets.” -bionic218 04-02-2014

I have an LCP that I bought right after they were introduced which I like. I wanted to like the LCPII in .22 but it just doesn’t sit right in my hand. Though I’m not interested in this on paper, I own a few guns that I wasn’t interested in on paper like the Glock 42 and the Sig P365. When I see one of these at the LGS I’ll ask to hold it. “Everybody wants a Sig in the sheets but a Glock on the streets.” -bionic218 04-02-2014

Makes sense, if more 9mm rounds are better, then more .380 rounds are definitely better. I wonder how Glock will respond, maybe a 10 round G42x that adds an inch or two of length? No one's life, liberty or property is safe while the legislature is in session.- Mark Twain

I have all 4 of the LCP’s for some reason. They are my biking and neighborhood walking companions. Well, a 5th might be fun. NRA Patron Member, Instructor and CRSO NC CCH Instructor GRNC Life Member VCDL Member

I have the .22 LCPII, and like it as much as my 380 lcp2. The .22 is kind of my "kit gun" I carry while about my land. It's been 100%. It fits my small hands perfectly. One excellent feature of the LCP Max is the upgraded front sight. I have many Ruger firearms. My LC9sPro with some upgrades ( trigger-Magguts- FO sights- and Ion Bond finish) is in my holster a lot. Sometimes it even pulls duty as my home defense weapon. Utterly accurate. To me, Ruger continues to be an innovative company that makes dependable guns. Maybe instead of trading, I will add the LCP Max to my Gun assortment. It too, could become my favorite. 美しい犬

That rug really tied the room together. |
I’ll be getting one. A few ounces lighter than a G42, and has 4 (or 6) more rounds. And smaller than a G42 as well… I’ve still been waiting to get my hands on the new .380 P365, but that will be bigger and heavier than this LCP max… ______________________________________________________ Often times a very small man can cast a very large shadow

I'll get one! I like my LCP II & the Max looks like a vast improvement on that. Rom 13:4 If you do evil, be afraid. For he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.

I'll probably have to have one. I have a thing for small .380 pistols.

Interesting. I would be more interested in an LCP II sized full 9mm. But I know the reasons that's hard to achieve.

Thank you Very little |
I"ll have to check it out, carry the LCP II quiet often since it's shorts weather here all the time. More rounds would be great... Grab a Gun has them for $399 Linky

I always thought the LCP II should have been in .32 ACP. It's compact enough & could hold an extra round or two & recoil would be a bit less. I do have a thing for small 380's though. Oh, goody, maybe now the teasing " We've got a secret, we're not gonna tell you, nyah nyah nyah nyah nyah" emails from Ruger will cease. ____________________

I already own and carry a P3AT and a first Gen. LCP. I need to put it in my hand to decide. I carry in a wallet holster in my hip pocket, and don't really want to change that.

I'm interested. Already have a grip sleeve on my LCPII so a little extra girth in the grip is ok by me. Sometimes, you gotta roll the hard six

So, not .32ACP and not the LCPII, but i always thought that this .32naa conversation barrel for the LCP would be fun. https://shop.innovativearms.co...a-conversion-barrel/ “Everybody wants a Sig in the sheets but a Glock on the streets.” -bionic218 04-02-2014
