I’m sure most of us maintain a ready firearm in loaded condition, kept a static location in your house to be used for home defense.

What your house gun? How many do you keep around the house?
And, what supporting equipment do you have to be used with them?

My example-
Bedroom is a G35 with Trijicon sights and a TLR7A light.
In the closet is an old pair of Levi’s with a belt, 2 loaded mag pouches, and an old beat up Safariland level II holster for that G35. Also an old pair of boots & socks are staged for grab and go readyness.

Downstairs office-
A Glock G41 with a spare mag. This has the same night sights and WML as the other pistol.

Both pistols live in their own push button secure safe to keep visitors hands off.

I have several:

A G45 with Trijicon SRO and a TLR-1HL is my primary bedside pistol these days.

I also have a G17 with TLR-1HL and a P320C with TLR-7A in other places around the house, both of which are my former duty guns.

Same, but just with irons, those being Ameriglo Agents with an orange front.

No dedicated house gun. My (and my wife's) EDC guns go on in the am, and then off before bedtime - at that point they go on our respective nightstands. This has worked for us since the mid 80s.

Current EDC gun for me is a WCV Gen 5 Glock 19, my wife's EDC since she switched over to it back in Dec of 2006 is a Gen 3 Glock 26.

Other guns are in the safe.

There are several, but the primary "bump in the night" pistol is my Matrix Precision P226 with a TLR-1 and a Holosun 407k.

My main one upstairs is my P220 .45. Upstairs bathroom is my old duty Glock 17 gen 4 with TRL ultra.
The downstairs is my Remington 870 marine magnum. Ported with forcing cone removed, WC ghost sights and I recently put on a Vortex Venom.

Right now it’s this:

Kel-Tec Sub2000 9mm carbine

Old pic, I took the riser and red dot scope off and put on a light/laser for its current config. Hangs hidden in my closet a few steps from my bed and all I have to do is pull the charging handle back to make it ready.

P-229 in 357Sig and decent night sights next to me all the time (small apartment).

I'm thinking of buying two or three 14-rd mags from Greg Cote but haven't gotten around to it.

As if one wasn’t enough to discourage an intruder, para coming at you dual wielding with 1000x2 lumens should work just fine.

For me, it’s the West German 226 that I carry.
