Not to drift the thread too much, but I have US M3 knives in each bathroom, Ka-bars and Cold Steel Tantos in each bedroom, and an SRK in the living room. Big kitchen knife in the kitchen. Just because...one moment you're taking a dump or cooking dinner and then someone gets through the wire.

Sex offenders can not be rehabilitated. It's in their wiring. They should not be released back into the general public. On the other hand they should not be warehoused either. I think they should be executed.....Spectre

When someone tries to kill you, it doesn't matter how they are doing it. You're in mortal danger, and it's time to try to kill them back.

Kill every last one of these goddamned animals. We need a president with balls. We need leadership. We should be carpet bombing these barbarians wherever we find them, and we should be looking for them 24/7. We have to unleash Hell upon them. They understand nothing but death, so death is what we should bring them, wholesale.... Para

I left "practical" behind many years ago. It was covered with my first Glock 19. (Fredward)

Legitimately, at some point I thought to myself "Why NOT stash a gun in this closet? Why NOT hide a gun in the bathroom?"

No there's not guns in every room, but there's guns on every floor.
Staging one or two and thinking/walking through likely scenarios will answer those questions.

I have the Glock 19. It’s reliable and versatile

Two SIG P320s, with Crimson Trace light/laser combos, in lockboxes -- one on the nightstand, one under the desk in the office.

Mossberg SA-20 20-gauge shotgun in bedroom closet. Hatsan Escort 20-gauge under the bed. Yeah, I know they're both Turkish, and I don't care. Wink

A very slight increase in recoil, HUGE muzzle flash reduction, and quite ear friendly outside. Haven't fired it inside w/o ear protection as everyone else at my indoor range is NOT shooting suppressed.

On me at the house most days is a Glock 48 9mm or S&W Shield .45.

Basement bedroom: Remington 870 Police with mag tube extension, Streamlight RM2 light, VTAC sling, Esstac shotgun card, FedTac buckshot.

Gen 5 Glock 22 .40 with Ameriglo night sights (orange front) and 22-round Glock OEM magazine. Federal HST 165-grain.

More G22 mags and Esstac shotgun cards in the closet in a MTM "Case-Gard." I also keep a Colt 6920 with Aimpoint PRO, Surefire Scout light, and mags in the basement gunsafe.

Upstairs: Gen 4 Glock 21 .45 Auto, Surefire X300, Ameriglo night sights (orange front), with Federal HST 230-grain.

We live at the end of a gravel road way out in the county, and many sketchy people turn around in our driveway who are trying to get to a nearby campground & river.

FN 545 with Streamlight TLR-8A Weapon light w/green laser for bedside duty, Remington 870P propped up in the corner in case things get really bad. Always have one in the pocket or on belt during all waking hours, usually a Kel-Tec .32 or Glock 42 for the pocket and usually a Shield .45 for the belt.
