I just sold my only 1911, and now find myself looking to replace it with another 45 that *isn't* a 1911. I'm considering some variant of a Sig P220, but would like to hear what else is out there that I should consider. I've handled an HK45, and while nice, it was a little too big for me.

For ME:
DA/SA=Sig 9mm or HK P30 LEM 9
Striker fired= Glock 9mm
If it's a .45= 1911
Suppressed= HK in .45
I like anything in 10mm

Mid 90's P-220.

In fairness, I have not handled a P-220 Legion yet.

I have a Glock 21C, a Sig P220 compact and I gave my dad my P220 DAK.

Too help I guy out I bought his HK USP but I find it a little too big for my hands. I have always wanted to try the Compact version.

The one I play with the most is my stock S&W MP 45 full size. I enjoy shooting it and actually hit the target most of the time.

I do want to try one in Compact and I have been hunkering to try the FN.

Range and around the house HK MARK 23. For carry HK45 and HK45C. Like almost all 45s but those are my favs.

I still have a Ruger P97 and I agree, they're tanks!

USP hands down. The HK45 and M23 are also nice.

My vote goes to: P220. Closely followed by P227. In third place is P250 .45 Compact.

Supposedly this would omit a Thompson 1927-A or a Kriss Vector?

I am kina partial for the P220 then...

That's easy. The P220, my P227 is nice and my P245 and P220 Carry SAO and P220 SME are great but all can really be considered the same thing basically.

I also very much like my Glock G4 21, probably the softest shooting 45 I have. I enjoy my FN FNX 45 too, it just has a nasty cool factor.

My 1911 45s would be last on my list. I like them a lot, don't get me wrong, well enough to buy some but if I had to get rid of all my 45s but 1 I'd keep my old "Made in Germany" marked P220.
