I borrowed a new one from an associate who has a couple. New gun with no mods. Shot it for about 150 rounds with 124 hand loads running at 1200 fps.

Very familiar to me as I have several Glock's in multiple calibers. Nice gun.

For me though, not quite small enough for a true front pocket carry. Just a bit too big to easily bring to bear even in cargo pants.
No forward compatibility with standard Glock magazines.

In the end since if forced to carry OWB or IWB, I'm going to stay with a G-26 that is a bit larger, shoots a lot nicer, and forward compatible with standard magazines.

Will continue with a PM9 for front pocket, deep concealment.

Finally got shipping notification of the new, lighter OEM connector for the G43.

I'd really love to put a non-serrated OEM trigger in it. I see the process for doing but I wonder if gunsmith or Glock Armorer is offering service to replace the trigger on the trigger bar.

I replaced mine with an OEM smooth trigger. I just used a drill bit, turned by hand to gain access to the blind pin. I removed the smooth trigger from a standard trigger bar first, before attempting anything on the G43 assembly. I figured if I screwed up, the standard part was more readily available than the G43 specific part.

Nice gun but i have no purpose for it. As someone earlier said, too big for pocket, and if i am gonna carry on belt, then 26 or larger makes no difference to me. 30s is most commonly carried.

I won this 43 in last gssf match otherwise i would not buy one. Shot it in a local BUG match and really disliked capacity and how difficult it was to reload. The empty mag would not fall free since my palm was in a way. Its a training issue, but i have no desire to retrain reloading for that gun. It does nothing better than 26 and it does several things worse. Not my cup of glock tea.

I bought my g43 over a year ago, shortly after they came out, I have never liked the stock sights, so I installed True Glow TFX NIGHT SIGHTS, I then put a 3.5 Ghost trigger in it as well a steel guide rod, also a Green Crimson Trace laser guard, for mags I installed 7 ans 8 round Taran extensions, all and all I think the G43 rocks, it's accurate and totally reliable, and carry's easy in my Clinger Stinger no cant iwb holster, several of my friends have jumped aboard by getting the G43, it's just an awesome little gun to say the least, all the little upgrades I made to this guns made my gun the way I want, and was worth doing, especially the 3.5 trigger, and sights, the green laser is fantastic also....I have a P938, THAT WILL OUT SHOOT MY 43 in accuracy, and also carry's with ease and totally reliable, we have many choices in todays market and most are quality made guns IMHO...

I like it after fitting a Pachmayr Tacticl Gun Grip on it. The Pachmayr has no finger grooves and has a palm swell to it. Helped it feel like a "gun" in my hand then. Added a Pearce Grip +1.
Five hundred rounds/ no issues.
Added a LaserMax Guide Rod laser too. A bonus to that is__the replaced take down lever sticks out more than the original giving better grip when field stripping.
Went with the laser in place of night sights.
Butt ugly but... That's any Glock. Very reliable.

Have recently grabbed a G43 Talo with and with the rubberized grips it feels great to me. I was a big fan of my 42 while I owned it as well.

Just got my new OEM 43 connector. Did you guys bother polishing the part before installation?

I shoot my wife's G43 well but will be transitioning her to a G19 as she'll shoot better with a full grip.

What's not to like about a single stack 9mm Glock?

Still loving mine. Nothing against mods, they give me good ideas, but mine is bone stock and is carried daily in an OHC IWB rig. Shoots straight and never has had a hiccup. (Like all my Glocks - boringly reliable). My carry HST ammo, Gold Dots, WWB, UMC, Wolf steel case, it doesn't care.

My Shield 9 was by no means a bad gun, but I'm a bunch happier now that all my triggers feel more or less the same.

Does the new connector have an identifying stamping on it?

I did not polish mine as I felt it was unnecessary. The pull was smooth enough with a nice break.

Grrr, yeah, I have that problem at times. I've had to modify my G43 to make it work for me. I have TT +2 and +3 base pads, Talon grips, Vickers slide stop and mag release, finished with with a 3.5lb Ghost connector. I do love the gun though but a small for me out of the box.

The new Performance Center Shield has a much improved trigger as well as sights, and is ported, which does help with recoil and follow up shots, it's accurate and reliable likle the Glock 43...

I saw that, and considered it, but in reality it is nice to have my carry gun feel like my other carry gun feel like my bedside gun feel like my range guns, so on and so forth.

If I was invested in the M&P platform, I think the Shield would be the perfect addition to that. Like I said, zero problems with mine and nothing but good to say about them, however - for me - it was a stand-alone gun in an otherwise Austrian household. Wink

LOL, you sound like a true Glock fan, I am too, but guns are my passion, and have been since I was a kid, I have most all the offerings, and try to stay proficient with them all, which is a great excuse for me to do a lot of shooting, but as for Glock, you know they will go bang when needed and are totally reliable, and the fact that they keep there guns the same format is a big plus for most of us, I own several Glocks and wouldn't get rid of one of them...
