Thank God for short extractor, no rail, no tail and no billboard or engraving.

NICE!
Old school, no frills, no bells & whistles, just an accurate pistol.

That’s really nice. The only hammer fired Sig I have left is the 226 NSW. Don’t need it but might want this.

Amazing. No gaudy "40th ANNIVERSARY EDITION" stamps on it, no gaudy finish. Looks like a shooter. The good old days.

I'm impressed, and quite frankly, shocked.

Not sure if the 40th (42nd?) anniversary will come in the yellow box, but it would be kinda cool to have another white manual.

Being true to form would also give us some old school grip screws?

It would be great to see SIG add this to their regular lineup. Don't underestimate the public desire for unadorned pistols.

Yeah, same, but West German. This one appeals.

Totally agree. And, they can assign special serial numbers for the Anniversary Edition, for those who care about such thing. Something like 40-(then the actual serial #). Then for subsequent years, they can just use their regular serial scheme.

I like it. I hope this is not limited production. Maybe, just maybe, the .357 Sig can come back.

WOW! I am quite frankly taken aback by this. It is certainly not what I expected from SIG these days. I love it.

That was my first pistol in 1994. I've always wanted to get it back.

This one is structurally better. It has the milled slide. Wink

I'm just glad they didn't put the Xrays sights on it.

So, SIG actually does listen to those of us who want no-frills guns after all. Cool

It just needs some 147 grainers, a good holster and some damn grease.

Come to think of it, did SIG US or DE ever make a no rail no tail alloy frame milled slide P226? I'm digging hard but cannot recall one from either side of the pond.

There were also non Navy models as well.
