addicted to trailing-throttle oversteer

For the past three weeks I keep trying to buy the G19 Gen4...a dozen of them at least, preferably in plain ol' basic black. But every U.S. distributor I know of is completely out of stock in ANY finish. Someone needs to tell Smyrna to start making/importing more of those bloody things, as if our regional rep is of any use.

Not a bad choice at all. But definitely more of a chore to detail strip with a few more parts to keep straight in order to get them back into the gun in their proper places.

I did something different;

Considered a G30 and even bought a G30 after a time carrying it...I didn't like the brick it was for CCW and went with the more svelte Glock 36 exclusively...for the last year and a half... I also have an OD G26 to suppliment that...

Did you look at the 30S? I didnt think it would make that much of a difference. But once I handled one, that slide made a huge difference. I think the 30S will be my next Glock purchase.

I bought a 30S and love it. Great choice for me, handles great, fits well and I can use the same holster I use for my 19 and 27. I carry it all the time and use it for my bush gun.

G30s... Yes.. I agree that it is the best of both... Everytime one came up I couldn't get it b4 someone else did... now that our ability to buy off CA Roster guns is going away I cant seem to find one... Which is ok as I like and prefer my G26 anyway over the 36... I'm prob going to consolidate down to 9mm next year...

Sold my G30S and also prefer the G26 over the G30S.
But then, I prefer my G33 over my G26.... Big Grin

Thank you CCR...

Nickel boron (CPII) indeed..
Stock Glock ext slide stop lever (I use Vickers on my compact and full size frames).

Mag bases are GAP baseplates.
You need some for your G26..

GAP baseplates

I don't like them for the G19, but I love them for the subcompacts.
Before the G33 refinish..

The sights on the G33 are now Trijicon HD..

No problem..

I really like them.
Added stability without bulk..
I feel they also reduce frame to mag finger pinch.. Big Grin

One of the local ranges had Glock Day last Sat. complete with Glock Reps & Armorers. Picked up a Gen 4 19 at a decent price. Once home I added HD's, Vickers slide stop & mag release and Gen 3 trigger & trigger bar + the ubiquitous .25 trigger job. Now have the complete set of G19's: Gen 1 thru 4. As Hickok45 says "Life is Good". Fortunate to have many options for HD and carry but rely on Glocks for both.

I still don't own one yet. But I did look at a 19,23,26 and 27 again. the wife even held the 19 and comment she liked the way it felt in her hand but said she wasn't giving up her XDs though. Thinking it might just be a matter of time.

I bought another one today instead of the P220 I had been looking at for the last two weeks... Oops.

Glock 30S now home and will be qualified on it this weekend. Going to be on the off-duty carry list for sure.

Did I hear someone say they have a Gen1 G19? Them are some extremely rare birds, since only a handful of them were made for evaluation by the Kansas State Alcohol Beverage Control (hence the K.S.A.B.C. markings on their slides). Best guess is that only a couple dozen survivors exist. Certainly from a collector's standpoint it has to be the most valuable Glock around. Definitely THE grail gun for the Glock fanboy.

Pic borrowed from an old thread on that infamous Glock forum:

I was gifted a Glock 17 by my mother. For years, it was my only pistol. Then I found the wonderful world of Sigs, Berettas and HKs. I still love that Glock, but it remains my only Glock.

Recently, I have been thinking about getting a Glock 20SF. Why? Because 10mm is one better than 9mm! Actually, I want a nice side arm for hunting & hiking. I figured that it is lighter than a revolver and has more power than any autos that I currently have.

Hopefully, I'll place my order on Friday (barring any unforseen circumstances).
