Hi - my name is Signess and I just bought my first two glocks.{Audience - "Hi Signess"}

...bought and OD 27 and an OD 29 in the last two weeks...and now I can't stop buying parts, holsters, etc for them. Even got holsters coming from Israel.

Swore I would never own a Glock after shooting one many years ago when I was buying my first handgun (don't even know what model it was). Remember that I hated the grip angle. But, a friend let me shoot his G26 not too long ago and I rented a G19 and a G27 and just shot them so well outta the box I was converted. Did a little research (got a LOT to learn I can see) and jumped in with both feet.

I've had a 17, 19 and a 36, but I always seem to sell them. Currently my "pistol of interest" is the P250. I think I like the trigger better than the Glock. I think the nicest thing about Glock is that everybody and their uncle makes accessories for it.

Somehow, I just can't take a man seriously who quotes himself in his signature line. Looks silly, to say the least. Big Grin

We all have different takes on things and life and that is what makes life so interesting.

As much as I like my H&K I can't agree with you sig line. My G19 Gen 3 (2009) is a fine pistol, accurate, easy to carry, and a pleasure to shoot. Plus I have seen 283's putting out over 450 horsepower, how is that not impressive?

I've got a shovel in my garage that's unimpressive as well, but it's digs a hole when I need to dig a hole. Hmmm...a tool that performs it's intended function. yawn Roll Eyes

I dunno, SB Chevys just don't impress me...
The only thing in your post that impresses me, is the fact that someone actually built up a 283, and didn't take the usually trendy easy way out: the 350... Roll Eyes

Exactly!
Glocks get sooooo much praise for just doing what every pistol is designed to do.
I'm not saying they're bad by any stretch of the imagination, they're just to right for me, and can fill absolutely no role in anything I need.

If every pistol functioned as reliably as a Glock, that would be something.

Quoting yourself in your sig line is rather silly.

Arc.

I suppose it would, but every pistol I've ever owned had performed as well as any Glock I've heard of...

I have a Glock on my list, but its still a ways out. I'm pretty sure my next pistol will be a 1911 of some kind, most likely a Dan Wesson. However, if I ever find a Glock that fits my hand as well as either of my SIGs, I won't hesitate to snap it up.

I think your view on Glocks is already well stated, but keep on repeating it to get that post count up... Roll Eyes

It is odd the more 1911s I own, the more I want a Glock..
I'm attracted to the shorter trigger pull as opposed to my DAK Sig pistols..

I sold my P229 SAS to go towards the DW Guardian I bought this week on GB.
I'm selling my bird shotty to buy the G19.
Lost my desire to bird hunt.. Frown

I'm down to one Sig now.. Big Grin

I just love a happy ending...And I still think Glocks are great...I found my old G30sf that I sold to a store and had them pull it out so I could hold it again, still on the shelf after a year...Thought seriously about buying it back, but they jacked up the price so much I could buy a new one cheaper...*Sigh*...Such a terrific gun...

Cool
