I completed the Silencer Shop kiosk information on Monday 15 June around noon for a individual suppressor purchase. Received my approval from ATF by 1300 hours Tuesday 16 June.

One day about 25 hours.

I can’t believe it

My 7 Form 1’s were just approved within the hour. Submitted on May 24 and approved on June 26, so almost exactly a month. Not too bad as far as I’m concerned.

My Form 1 from April 10 was approved yesterday (yes, on a Sunday). 79 days all told. Now the question becomes do I assemble my SBS Benelli now, or do I wait until ATF decides on the engraving rule…

I did a Form 4 to transfer a silencer from my SOT to my personal trust last Sunday. I wanted to get it in before my SOT expired. I renewed my SOT a week prior and ATF did charge my Amex. But they are flooded with renewals now and it could be a month before I have my new SOT in hand.

My most recent Form 4 last month took 4 days to approve, and two of those were weekend days. A far cry from 7 months for my first can just a little over 2 years ago. Smile

Three Form 4's filed yesterday, and one today. All individual. Last three were filed as a trust and took a month. Let's see what happens.

That's what happens when it suddenly becomes free to submit a couple hundred Form 1's for potatoes, cans of Monster and oil filters.

No, I'm not making that up, people are doing that shit. ATF eventually did say you can't Form 1 a potato, but not before some people got approvals for them.

Still waiting on my latest Form 4 app, going on four weeks. Might be because I submitted a few days before my SOT expired. I renewed a week or so earlier, but it just got processed a week ago. So if anyone was looking at my Form 4, my SOT was expired at that time, even though I had paid for the renewal a week earlier. No big deal, as I'm still good to use the can under my SOT, but everyone else seems to be getting them pretty fast.

Did you file it under trust or individual? Trust times are 6-8 weeks from what I’m seeing.
