Milo is here in Aus, for a short time, with at least 3 appearances. https://www.milolive.com.au/ I would really liked to have seen and heard Milo first hand, but my current ... vagabond lifestyle ... sees me unable to experience his unique style of debate, awareness and commentary. Drat it. Alt-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos takes aim at his usual suspects in expletive-laden Melbourne gig Controversial alt-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos took aim at Indigenous Australians, Muslims and Australian media personalities in an event in Melbourne marred by violent protests. "Australia what have they done to you?" Yiannopoulos, 32, asked the crowd as he entered, clad in leather and wearing his trademark sunglasses, before getting on the back of a parked Harley Davidson motorbike in the middle of the stage. "You used to have a really good reputation, but we're here to discuss your fall from grace." The right-wing provocateur, who attacked Julia Gillard as he prepared to embark on his Australian tour, was unapologetic of his criticism of the former prime minister at the Melbourne Pavilion in Kensington on Monday night. Police barricaded the outside of the pavilion before the show as those attending the event, some who paid up to $995 for a VIP ticket, were heckled by crowds of protesters as they walked through the doors. After the show patrons had to be escorted by police to their cars. Yiannopoulos, who has sold more than 10,000 tickets nationwide, resigned earlier this year from alt-right publication Breitbart News after he appeared to suggest that it was acceptable for older men to sleep with teenage boys. He later issued a rare apology. He was also permanently banned from Twitter in 2016 after he made a series of racist tweets about African-American Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones. "Now, The Sydney Morning Herald (sister paper to The Age) was very upset with me as were various other left-wing media outlets who condemned my coarse language," he said. "So, I would like to set the record straight and apologise to pricks for the unflattering comparison." The self-described "one man wrecking crew" and "internet supervillain" continued his trend of hurling expletive-laden insults about feminists and those on the left-wing of politics throughout his three sold-out Troll Academy Tour shows in Melbourne. He took aim at Walkley Award-winning journalist and social commentator Waleed Aly, calling him a "foghorn" who was "dedicated to the destruction of Western civilisation" before taking aim at his wife Dr Susan Carland. "She wears that hijab because she chooses to sister," he said. "Not because she is the brainwashed victim of a death cult that oppresses woman and kills homosexuals." He then joked that if Dr Carland didn't wear the hijab, one of her uncles may throw acid on her, and it "would be a bad look on the red carpet at the Logies". Yiannopoulos then launched into a insulting tirade about feminist blogger Clementine Ford, describing her as "high-pitched, mildly irritating, but basically pointless and ineffective noise" and a "human lump of half-melted butter who has been fighting love handles all her life", before he lashed out about Channel Ten media personality Jessica Rowe. "I don't say this stuff to be mean because I am a compassionate person," he said. He also took aim at Aboriginal Welcome to Country ceremonies and traditional Indigenous art, saying "You're all supposed to pretend you like it, but really it's shit." The Australian media also came in for a tongue-lashing, with Yiannopoulos saying it was a "disaster". "You are all just as much a bitter disappointment to me as Don Burke was to you." The talk went on in this way for an hour as the audience, made up mostly of men, laughed and cheered each comment. Yiannopoulos' whistlestop tour of Melbourne ended on Monday night and will next visit Sydney and the Gold Coast. I forgot about this. Tried to google a transcript of the back and forth, can't find what he said that was racist. All I could find was him saying she was not talented and couldn't take criticism. What did he say? Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

And that she wasn’t good in the movie. Since she is African American, that made the criticism racist.

A nugget gleaned during an interview Milo had with an unknown genius about 100 million being exterminated by communism. "The more beautiful the dream of social justice or communism, heaven on earth, the greater the crime you will commit or support, and the greater the lie...what lie would you not tell to create heaven on earth?" Such a brilliant man and thought needed to attributed, his name is David Horowitz. This message has been edited. Last edited by: pbslinger,

There's a claim that he compared her to a gorilla, but he denied he said this. I don't know if there's any proof out there, but since he flatly denied it and called it a lie, and knowing the Left like we all do, I tend to believe his denial.

I don't know the total for communism worldwide, but the 100M number is an estimate of the number of Soviet citizens missing in the 1970s. It was based on the population of Russia before the October Revolution, the number when Stalin became dictator, and the number reported by the Soviet Union in the 1970s. If you projected the population size in the 1970s using the population size in pre-communist USSR, the size in 1920, and the size in 1930, there should have been 100M more people than were reported. The 100M missing were attributed the the collectivization of agriculture, the two great purges, and WWII, and suggested Stalin's era saw about 25M people starved to death or killed in war or purges. I remember this incident. All Milo tweeted was that her movie was terrible, that she was terrible in the movie. He also made a remark about her looks. What got the leftists in a tizzy was when Jones was trolled by folks with fake accounts, and of course they did not hold back. And Twitter, in their infinitely warped logic, attributed all of these anonymous trolls as Milo's people, therefore in their minds, Milo personally sent these . ... and yesterday, Milo in Sydney ... Australia has a serious problem with freedom of speech. Seven arrested as Milo protesters clash with police at secret Sydney event Seven protesters have been arrested after clashing with police and fans of controversial British commentator Milo Yiannopoulos in Sydney. The event in Lilyfield was heavily guarded by mounted police, officers on bicycles, riot squad, marine police and police vans on Tuesday night, following the violence that erupted one day earlier in Melbourne. The rally became violent as some protesters tried to break through police surrounding the venue. Fans of the alt-right commentator were heckled by more than one hundred protesters as they entered the venue, with police having to stand between the two groups. Four people were arrested for breaching the peace, one for assaulting a police officer, one for affray and one for not complying with direction. Earlier on Tuesday, the polarising figure attended a Q&A session at Parliament House in Canberra. The self-described "one-man wrecking crew" and "internet supervillain" was there at the invitation of Liberal Democrats senator David Leyonhjelm. Fights broke out at Mr Yiannopoulos' event in Melbourne on Monday, with police forced to use pepper spray and arrested multiple people.. The US-based commentator is touring Australia and is due to speak again in Sydney on Wednesday and the Gold Coast later in the week. I can't help but make the disparate comparison between what happens at Milo's appearances in the US, then look to the Aus footage and reactionaries. Black clothed, masked and armed thugs with a riotus assembly of free speech disruptive agendas ... here in Aus, it's more a hipster coffee group with nothing to do. So somebody tried to throw a shoe at Milo while he was speaking and the shoe barely made the second row. He mocked them and call the thrower a loser. In the comments beneath the video was this: Davis Fandino "That's like throwing production assistants at Harvey Weinstein." I think Davis won the internet today.

This quote by Milo sums up why I love him so much. He has weaponized humor and realized just how powerful it is to laugh at our enemies. "So let us fight, but let our motto be Risus et bellum, Laughter and war. Because nothing stings our foes, foreign and domestic, more than our hearty laughter at their lies and nonsense. And also because nothing will better remind us what we’re fighting for than the laughter of Chesterton, of Chaucer and of Shakespeare, and of course the God who inspired them all." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance
