I saw the Kuwait Air Force over there, I really doubt it's anything nefarious here.

I'm thinking it was mistaken identify or the pilot got excited/itchy trigger finger thinking he saw an Iranian.

Recall they were invaded and destroyed by Iraq in 1990-1991 and they haven't forgotten.

Watching was thinking we had multiple fatalities. Fortunately all six pilots ejected and were rescued.
As was stated at the end of the video. Thank God.

Aggressor pilot in deep shit. As it should be from the sound of it.

The discussion I saw about the downing of the F-15 aircraft was that it was mistaken identity.

But is anyone asking how three—count ’em, three—were destroyed so quickly and easily in a situation like that? Is anyone thinking, “Hmm, maybe we need to figure out how that happened”? If so, maybe the incident was for the best.

I obviously know very little about either of the aircraft involved in the incident, but I am surprised that I haven’t seen any discussion of my question.

Origiannly it was stated that Kuwaiti Air Defense Battery using Patriot missile fired at drone/missiles that the 3 F-15E aircraft were engaging and locked up the Eagles.

But now, it is reported by CENTCOM, it was a Kuwaiti F-18C that shot 3 AIM-9 A2A missiles.
-Source Mooch's (Ward Carroll) Youtube channel.

That puts it very close engagement and wonder why he either could not identify them as F-15s or was he a bad actor.

It is being investigated, and hope it was just poor actions on his part, and not nefarious.

Very glad all 6 Aircrew made it.

(Off Boresite pilot can pretty much fire missiles like a semi-auto. Otherwise lock up, fire, uncage, lock up next fire, repeat.)

Both can be done within 5 seconds if the flight was in close formation. Kuwaiti AF has AIM-9X and helmet mounted designators, so it's makes for a fast gunslinger.

“Thousands of Kurdish fighters have a launched a ground invasion in Iran, according to a US official. [unnamed, apparently]

President Donald Trump on Sunday night spoke with the heads of Kurdish militant groups in Iraq to discuss the situation in Iran.

The Kurdish groups are widely seen as the most well-organized faction of the fragmented Iranian opposition and are believed to have thousands of battle-hardened fighters.

Their entry into the war could pose a significant challenge to the besieged authorities in Tehran and could also risk pulling Iraq further into the conflict.
……
Asked about Kurdish involvement, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told reporters: 'None of our objectives are premised on the support or the arming of any particular force.

'So, what other entities may be doing, we're aware of, but our objectives aren't centered on that.' …”

Marco Rubio Fires Back at Critics of Operation Epic Fury: Let Me Explain This in Simple English

Secretary of State Marco Rubio moved to clarify the rationale behind Operation Epic Fury after several members of Congress, along with conservative commentators such as Matt Walsh, suggested the mission had been launched at Israel’s behest.

"Let me explain to you guys this in simple English, OK?" Rubio told a crowd of reporters, Tuesday night. "Iran is run by lunatics, religious fanatic lunatics. They have an ambition to have nuclear weapons. They intend to develop those nuclear weapons behind a program of missiles and drones and terrorism that the world will not be able to touch them for fear of those things."

"This is the weakest they've ever been," he added. "Now is the time to go after them. The president made the decision to go after them, take away their missiles, take away their navy, take away their drones, take away their ability to make those things so that they can never have a nuclear weapon. That's why the president made this decision. It was the right decision. And the world will be a safer place when these radical clerics no longer have access to these weapons."

The clarification followed attempts by several political figures to misconstrue remarks Rubio made on Monday, when he stated that the United States carried out its strike late Friday as a preemptive measure. According to Rubio, U.S. officials were aware of imminent Israeli action in the region, and rather than risk absorbing Iranian retaliation, President Trump chose to act first in an effort to neutralize Iran once and for all.

Recently I read the F-15 claim about “172 to zero” in planes down. So now it’s “172 to 3” ?

Technically this was "friendly fire", so it is still 172-0 in combat.

Gronky covered this- the F15E is a strike platform, not a “fighter jet”. The F15 Eagle still has a perfect air to air record in combat against adversaries. Also the fiendly fire aspect has alot to do with it.

About a F/A-18 scoring the only kills on the F-15. Ironic.

Interesting side note, an A-10 from the 107th FS, Michigan ANG sports a cow kill. I served with that wing from 1978 - 1984.
