“We were not involved.”

Yeah? There’s reason for that. It’s because a) you wouldn’t have added anything positive to the operation, b) you would have obstructed it if possible, and c) you would have leaked the details before action was taken.

You weenies, just like Kaine and Warner, are not assets and it’s time for you to shut up, sit down, and remain quiet. Adults are at work here.

And how did all those years of diplomatic negotiations work out for you?

If only they'd get a clue from the Persian people all over the world. Never mind...they don't want to.

I think it is time for The President to come right out during a press conference and state that he is reviewing the status of the relationship with the UK and Spain.

Starting immediately by ordering the cessation of any monetary support, military support (including sales of equipment and defense), and any tariff relief previously announced for the 2 countries.

Time to make them back-up their bullshit and state that they can go it alone with only the EU's assistance or, if they are really desperate, China/Russia.

This has to be done in public and during a televised conference.

I am tired of backroom, off-the-record or secretive communications in which these leaders can save face and not pay a price.

As far as I am concerned, the British and Spanish Governments are now considered hostile to the USA.

There's a bunch of chatter popping up on various sites about a new number station popping up in Farsi. For those that don't know, a number station is a shortwave radio transmission that is used by foreign intelligence agencies to talk to agents in the field.

Here is a youtube clip of someone picking it up:

Has anybody heard if we've sunk this thing yet? It really stuck in my craw that we let them operate with impunity in the Red Sea last year while they were providing targeting info to the Houthis...seems like it would be pretty easy to task a few missiles to it now while we're already blowing stuff up.

Well, well, Hakeem... sounds like you're betting against America. Maybe you ought not be in a leadership position in America, eh?

Stop hating our President more than you love our country, Hakeem. Or do you just not love our country to begin with?

'Absolutely Was an Imminent Threat': Rubio Says Israeli Strike Plan Spurred US Attack on Iran

The United States attacked Iran only after learning that ally Israel was going to strike and fearing Tehran would retaliate against U.S. forces, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Monday.

"We knew that there was going to be an Israeli action. We knew that that would precipitate an attack against American forces, and we knew that if we didn't preemptively go after them before they launched those attacks, we would suffer higher casualties," Rubio told reporters.

Rubio, who was preparing to brief key U.S. lawmakers, said that Iran had told field commanders to respond automatically against U.S. forces in the event of an attack.

"If we stood and waited for that attack to come first before we hit them, we would suffer much higher casualties. And so the president made the very wise decision" to hit alongside Israel, Rubio said.

Asked if the United States faced an imminent threat from Iran -- a key threshold in the United States as Congress constitutionally has the power to declare war -- Rubio again pointed to the Israeli plans.

"There absolutely was an imminent threat, and the imminent threat was that we knew that if Iran was attacked -- and we believed they would be attacked -- that they would immediately come after us," Rubio said.

"We were not going to sit there and absorb a blow," Rubio said, adding that if Iran hit U.S. forces first, "we would all be here answering questions about why we knew that and didn't act."

War Secretary Pete Hegseth earlier said that it was Israel that carried out the strike Saturday in Tehran that killed Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and other key officials, after intelligence emerged that they were meeting.

Rubio, however, said that President Donald Trump's administration believed in the need to strike Iran, regardless of how the timing was triggered.

"No matter what, ultimately this operation needed to happen," Rubio said.

Rubio said that the United States would like to see the overthrow of the Iran's clerical state but that that was not the goal. "We hope that the Iranian people can overthrow this government and establish a new future for that country. We would love for that to be possible," Rubio said.

"But the objective of this mission is the destruction of their ballistic missile capabilities and of their naval capabilities."

Trump's Top Middle East Negotiator Dropped a Bombshell About Iran and Its Nuke Program Last Night

We all knew Obama’s Iran Nuclear Deal was a joke. You cannot negotiate with terrorists. You can’t trust terrorists, especially the world’s largest state sponsor of that heinous deed. Barry did it because he knew that Operation Epic Fury was the only way to stop Tehran from acquiring the bomb. Obama dithered, as he did in Syria, and now Donald J. Trump is here to clean up the mess.

For weeks, both the US and Iran tried to hash out a new deal. We were even willing to give them free nuclear fuel forever for domestic use, and they turned it down. Our top negotiator, Steve Witkoff, said last night that the Iranians admitted they had enough nuclear material for almost a dozen bombs. That was their starting point: an open admission that they flouted Obama’s protocols.

"Let me say this, because I forgot this small little detail.

In that first meeting, both the Iranian negotiators said to us directly, with no shame, that they controlled 460 kilograms of 60% and they're aware that that could make 11 nuclear bombs, and that was the beginning of their negotiating stance. So that's - they were proud of it.

They were proud that they had evaded all sorts of oversight protocols to get to a place where they could deliver 11 nuclear bombs."

When someone says that, you’ve got to bomb them—and we did.

Witkoff: Iran Boasted It Has Fuel for 11 Nuclear Bombs

Iranian officials last month said their country possessed enough enriched fuel to build 11 nuclear bombs, according to special envoy Steve Witkoff.

Witkoff revealed in a televised interview that during indirect talks, Iranian negotiators openly acknowledged they controlled roughly 460 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60% purity — enough, if further refined, to produce 11 nukes.

According to Witkoff, the admission came "with no shame" and was presented as part of Tehran's opening negotiating position.

The discussions, which began Feb. 6 in Oman and concluded Thursday in Geneva, were described as a last-ditch effort by President Donald Trump to reach a diplomatic solution before taking military action.

Witkoff and Jared Kushner represented the U.S. in the talks.

"In that first meeting, both the Iranian negotiators said to us directly … that they controlled 460 kilograms of 60% [enriched uranium] and that they’re aware that could make 11 nuclear bombs," Witkoff said on Fox News.

He added that Iranian officials also claimed an "inalienable right" to enrich uranium.

Witkoff said the U.S. delegation pushed back forcefully, responding that Trump believes America has the "inalienable right to stop you dead in your tracks."

He described Tehran's posture as defiant and said it quickly became clear a meaningful agreement would be difficult, if not impossible.

According to Witkoff, Iran has roughly 10,000 kilograms of fissionable material, including both 60% and 20% enriched uranium.

He warned that 60% enriched uranium could be brought to weapons-grade 90% purity within about a week to 10 days. The 20% material could be converted within several weeks.

International Atomic Energy Agency estimates cited by CBS News showed that as of mid-2025, Iran had amassed significant quantities of 60% enriched uranium — far beyond levels needed for civilian energy production.

The U.N. watchdog has said 92.5 pounds of 60% enriched uranium is sufficient to produce one nuke if enriched further.

While Iran denies pursuing nuclear weapons and U.S. intelligence assessments have previously stated Tehran had not restarted a formal weapons program halted in 2003, its rapid enrichment expansion has alarmed Western officials.

Satellite imagery and IAEA reports indicate ongoing activity at nuclear sites previously struck by U.S. forces.

Trump ordered strikes on key Iranian nuclear facilities last year, saying they "obliterated" critical infrastructure. He has repeatedly stated the U.S. will ensure Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon.

Witkoff said the administration offered Iran a deal that would have provided nuclear fuel for a decade if Tehran abandoned enrichment and dismantled missile and proxy programs. The offer was rejected.

"They were proud," Witkoff said of the Iranian negotiators. "It was very clear they had no notion of doing anything other than retaining enrichment for the purpose of weaponizing."

Israel targets Iranian leadership meeting about succession: senior Israeli official

Israeli forces struck an Iranian Supreme Council gathering on Tuesday as the group was meeting to choose a successor to the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, a senior Israeli official told Fox News.

Fox News' Trey Yingst reported the update on live on Fox on Tuesday morning, saying the move "speaks to the Israeli intelligence about this war."

"They just targeted the meeting in Tehran where what's left of the leadership was gathering to choose a new Supreme Leader," Yingst said.

The U.S. and Israel killed 49 of Iran's most senior leaders in the opening salvo of Operation Epic Fury on Saturday morning, leaving Iran's military fractured and leaderless.

I saw one article giving credit to the CIA for Israel’s being able to hit the first meeting that terminated the grand poobah, but Israel has long demonstrated incredible intelligence-gathering abilities. And if follow-up strikes were due to the US’s capabilities and everyone wants to give Isreal the credit, all the better.
