First US casualties. Frown

3 US service members killed, 5 seriously wounded in Iran operation
Others had minor injuries, CENTCOM says

By Michael Dorgan | Fox News
Published March 1, 2026 10:21am EST

Three U.S. service members were killed and five others were seriously wounded as part of Operation Epic Fury, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said Sunday morning.

In addition, several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions and are in the process of being returned to duty, CENTCOM announced.

"The situation is fluid, so out of respect for the families, we will withhold additional information, including the identities of our fallen warriors, until 24 hours after next of kin have been notified," CENTCOM said.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.

President Trump probably got a chuckle out of that.

I know posting about shootings are generally frowned upon, but maybe this passes inspection; early this morning in Austin on Sixth St, a guy drove in his SUV and randomly shot up a bunch of people, 3 dead and 14 wounded, includes the killer. He apparently had a Quran in his car and Islamic "garb" as well. He was a U.S. citizen who immigrated from Senegal, an Islamic country.

In the what “no sh*t category of Islamic nut jobs are Islamic nut jobs?”

I hope there are some competent people in the FBI - the ones I’ve met would be baffled by shoelaces.

How's that different than every other day for them?
It's like a day without sunshine if they aren't protesting something, calling for someone to be cancelled, blocking traffic, or calling for civil disobedience somewhere.

BREAKING: The temporarily acting supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Arafeh, was killed after new strikes on Tehran, according to Israeli media.
He was appointed this morning to replace Khamenei, who was also killed yesterday in strikes by the US and Israel.

(Too bad the video is evidently no longer available. It should have been saved under the heading of useful education.)

The video is still there. Twitter or the publisher has restricted embedding it. You have to click the link.

Not at all surprising, since it shows one of the assholes bleeding out on camera.

I just did a quick Google and there are several websites and posts on it, but I don't see anything official.

The Israelis seem to be pretty good with their intel on these things. I'm assuming that Israel and maybe the U.S. have assets on the ground acting as forward observers, probably communicating through Starlink to identify targets and provide battle damage assessments.
