The talking point all over social media I'm seeing today is TACO Tuesday. That's from their earlier framing of Trump's negotiating tactics over tariffs. "Trump Always Chickens Out". He makes a strong demand but then "chickens out" and gives in to something less.

These people do not understand negotiating, nor do they believe Iran was a threat.

It is effective with many on the left. Throw in some nonsense like the Strait of Hormuz was already open before our attack, so nothing was gained, and the idiots gleefully lap it up.

I certainly do hope this is the end of the war, and the Iranians are ready, and willing to rejoin civil society.

This part of the war may be winding down, but the Iranian fundamentalists will never be ready nor want to rejoin a civil society. (at least not what we consider civil)

The point isn’t whether on not they understand or believe. Rather, they simply refuse to acknowledge Present Trump’s success.

Just proves the TDS is real. They were all wailing and complaining about his taking military action, he finds a means to bring that to a stop and now they complain about that as well.

Maybe he should say, "Hey, I listened to all the people, I am everyone's president. A lot of people are saying I shouldn't, so I didn't didn't". Let them think they changed his mind and won.

Instead they continue to bitch about everything he does even if it was what they wanted (albeit for different reasons)

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

Right. The Iranian fundamentalists may be a minority of the Iranian people. The Iranian fundamentalists may not even be in control. The IRGC may now actually control the Iranian religious fundamentalists rather than the other way around. The IRGC is like a mafia, or a criminal gang.

BUT, it's not our problem. We cannot build a functioning and civilized democracy in that country. President Trump has made it clear from the beginning that the people will have to rise up and accomplish that on their own. And we all know that won't be easy because the IRGC has the guns and the people don't.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

It's starting to sound like none of the published "lists" are accurate.

I think it's worse than that. I see 2 groups. One is the TDS crowd, the other is die-hard leftists who seek leftism. The leftists will do or say anything as long as it harms the right.

But the TDS crowd? I think they are deeply damaged people. They fear masculine strength and success. Trump's style to get things done is to be brash. He knows what he wants, and he plays hardball.

This triggers the TDS, akin to (and maybe actual) PTSD. They must create some evil aspect to Trump to justify their fear. Even when they are confronted with incontrovertible evidence against one of their claims, they cannot accept it. They revert to "Well it is believable that he could have said or done that because he is stupid/mean/racist/sexist/rapist/pedo".

Their psychological damage will never allow them to accept anything positive about Trump, no matter what.

The Fundamentalists have always been a minority, but they had a stranglehold in the IRGC, who had a monopoly on violence. Hopefully the IRGC is more interested in moving forward, than suppressing the population.

Yeah, early reports are all over the map, may not even be in the real agreements. The V.P. Vance & others will be at the table this weekend. I’d think they will try to get a workable agreement, if possible.

It still seems a difficult task, fairly likely to fall apart.

I’ve been watching a ship tracker site at times, most tankers seem to be at anchor either side of the straight. A relative told me he heard they turn the transponders off when passing the straight, which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me.

Ok, looked it up, yes, many turn their transponders off.

Did I miss the point where Iran will pay us back and pay out $ to all the service men and their family's that were killed or injured?
And, this will be the first check they write?

I forgot most of my college courses on this subject so take this with a grain of salt. I think you get 2 bites at the apple here because double jeopardy does not apply. Not a lawyer just took a few jag classes at the boat school. They can try you under UCMJ and then separately in a federal court.
