FBI suffers fresh bias episode, retracts intel memo portraying Catholics as extremist threats Login/Join

I wonder if any FBI memos address the ANTIFA threat?

https://justthenews.com/accoun..._campaign=newsletter

The FBI on Thursday retracted an intelligence product from its Richmond field office that suggested some Roman Catholics be viewed as radical extremist threats and urged agents to infiltrate certain groups from the world's largest Christian faith.

The episode is the latest to sully the FBI's reputation, raising fresh concerns about political bias and civil liberties. It came a little over a year after an earlier bungled effort sought to treat parents protesting at school board meetings as domestic terrorism threats.

In a statement to Just the News, the FBI said the product made public by a former FBI agent and whistleblower, Kyle Seraphin, was circulated only inside the bureau and did not meet the agency's investigative requirements,

“While our standard practice is to not comment on specific intelligence products, this particular field office product — disseminated only within the FBI — regarding racially or ethnically motivated violent extremism does not meet the exacting standards of the FBI," the bureau said.

"Upon learning of the document, FBI Headquarters quickly began taking action to remove the document from FBI systems and conduct a review of the basis for the document," it added. "The FBI is committed to sound analytic tradecraft and to investigating and preventing acts of violence and other crimes while upholding the constitutional rights of all Americans and will never conduct investigative activities or open an investigation based solely on First Amendment protected activity."

The memo surfaced Wednesday in a blog post from Seraphin and suggested that Catholics who prefer to celebrate Mass in the traditional Latin language posed a risk of white supremacism and violence.

The intelligence memo stated that the FBI assessed with "high confidence" that radical traditional Catholics — referred to as RTCs — were prone to "anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ and white supremacist ideology." It urged agents to try to counter the threat from such Catholics through various investigative strategies that include "source development."

The memo appears to have derived some of its intelligence concerns from information from the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center, citing the group's list entitled "Radical Traditional Catholicism Hate Groups."

The abrupt reversal by the FBI comes as the House and majority Republicans announced plan to investigate concerns that pro-life Catholics have been targeted by law enforcement for unfair investigations, an allegation the FBI denies.

Their reputation is unrecoverable.

I no longer believe anything they say, not even things which appear to be true. If I hear that the FBI is involved in an investigation, I just write off any chance that that investigation will result in finding the truly guilty parties, unless the guilty parties are politically right of center, and then the liars at the FBI who use their extreme powers to serve their own interests will pounce like tigers. Or, they ignore facts and evidence and find a conservative to nail with their lies.

Never, ever again will I trust them or believe them.

I get a weekly threat memo emailed to me at work that comes from our local police department who gets it from the FBI.

It’s ALL Whitey Bad, MAGA Bad, White Nationalist Extremists, Trump Voters Bad, Christians Bad

Not a fucking thing ever about Antifa or any other extremist leftist group. The FBI is compromised and needs to be rebuilt IMO

As soon as it hits my inbox now, I hit the delete button on it.

Remember the fuckstick who came in here last year, trying to prove to everyone that he is some kind of hardcore operator? The guy who threw around this "rumint" and "AmCit" horse shit in an effort to impress we peasants?

After I banned his ass, he sent me an email (which I didn't see for about two weeks because it went into my SPAM folder) saying he was going to alert the FBI to my remarks in this forum, and he included two or three other members as well.

I had to laugh, because though I didn't respond to it, it's like "Goddamn, man. This is a gun forum! The feds are here all the time! They see everything we post; all gun forums experience the same, and have since at least the day after 9/11/2001. You're not going to tell them a thing they don't already know, and the last time I looked, there's this dusty old document you may have heard of; it's called the Constitution, and the last time I checked it, it's not against the law for me to say I do not trust the FBI. So, blow it out your ass."

That's one way to know when you got the best of somebody- when they try to convince you that they're siccing the feds on you.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is itself an extremist group. Bizarre that these people remain credible. They have been putting religious and conservative groups on their vile lists for decades.

Yeah, when you start slumming with the peasants in an effort to impress them, it's really time to take stock of yourself.

Marlowe was banned in 2016, and you know that guy told his boss what meanies we are, and then here comes Mister AmCit 6 years later trying to tell me he's gonna bring heat down on us. We are not breaking / have not broken any laws and everyone who frequents this forum knows that I come down like a ton of bricks on any member who endangers the existence of this place.

Marlowe wasn't a "supposed" fed. He WAS a fed. Q.E.D.

They've been here for a long, long time.

The SPLC is a long discredited left-wing fringe group with a well-established history of open and blatant bias against Christians and conservatives.

That the FBI is working in conjunction with the SPLC is a matter of the highest concern for decent Americans.

When they do get involved with the far-Left, they sure choose some odd and not terribly convincing types to get involved with. I get that the far-Left is filled with odd-balls, misfits and outright mental cases but, this guy smells like full-of-shit through my screen.

The Snitch in the Silver Herse - FBI paid a violent felon to infiltrate Racial Justice Movement
quote:
AS RACIAL JUSTICE PROTESTS broke out nationwide in the summer of 2020, a man driving a silver hearse became a regular at the demonstrations in Denver.

He was a paunchy 5-foot-7 with a ruddy complexion and wore military fatigues with patches on the sleeves. By activist standards, he was an old-timer: pushing 50 as he swaggered through crowds of teens and 20-something protesters, a cigar clamped in his lips.

“I didn’t know much about him, but he drove a hearse,” said Zebbodios “Zebb” Hall, a Black activist in Denver. “Inside this hearse was a lot of guns: AR-15s and all other kinds of shit.”

The driver of the hearse filled with guns was Michael Adam Windecker II. He went by the nickname Mickey and boasted of having been a soldier for the French Foreign Legion and the Peshmerga, the Kurdish fighting force known most recently for battling the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. He claimed to have traveled to those battlefields and trained antifascist activists there in weapons, hand-to-hand combat, and explosives.

“He was just this badass dude talking about how he worked in a foreign military and how he was for the Black Lives Matter movement,” Hall remembered.

This ^^^^^, in spades.

To the point I'm not even the last bit surprised, much less shocked, to find they're taking their cues from as disreputable an organization as the SPLC <smh>

Once the premier law enforcement agency in the world--now just... pathetic Frown

My first thought when I read this was UNBELIEVABLE, which quickly morphed into NOT SURPRISING,
but then I recalled Para's comment in the COVID thread re: all the healthy young athletes being afflicted w/ 'Died Suddenly'...
"This seems to be happening all the time now." Mad

So what the hell is it with the FBI? Is Wray ignoring the problem?
Is Wray part of the problem, or is it that Wray IS THE PROBLEM?
Regardless, he's got to go! He should've been shown the door when Trump was still in office!

If I were rank and file FBI, I'd have to leave on principle. I refuse to be KGB and that's what the FBI has become to me.

Precisely how I feel about them. I almost want to print this on a card to hand them in case they ever want to talk with me. The Stasi had more credibility and purer motives than the FBI does now.
