Took an 1 hour and 15 minutes here. Standard suburban voter suppression in a Democrat-controlled county where all funds flow downtown to fund the urban poor lifestyles of the ghetto fabulous.

Better part of 100 people in line. 6 voting machines, only 2 or 3 active at any one time due to check-in desk dysfunction. One black lady checking IDs. As usual, the African-American is doing all the work. One fatass white poll manager lady ordering sandwiches instead of checking IDs and getting people to the voting machines. Said fatass had two assistants, one of which was more interested in sammiches than the voting process. The desk assistants should be doing that work ... but fatass white lady was on a power trip based on this and her loud behavior in the hallway with her other assistant who was actually monitoring for polling place rules violations (phones, candidates, campaign materials, morning drinkers, etc.)

There were 3 - 5 folks managing the 6 voting machines and the non-existent line to the machines. It was pretty casual for them since only 1-2 people could vote at a time. One machine lady said "you have the touch" because I got my touch screen to advance off the instructions screen to the ballot. Others were beating on the screens. Sure enough. My wife had to pound the screen on hers for it to take her ballot.

Speaking of "the touch," the frickin' touch screen turned my second touch, my vote for President, into a Jill Stein vote. Got that corrected.

At least it wasn't 3.5 hours to 4.0 hours in line like 2012. The downtown-based county election managers got fired over that one. They still got their penny tax that year. Downtown got a bus system and the friends of the county politicians have billed the crap out of the county for "consulting."

They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

As looney as people think he is, I think he is just saying this shit for shock value, perhaps to remain relevant, if he ever was in the last ten years to begin with.

I was wondering why he is not on XM anymore, the last 4 months of him raging about Trump has really turned me off him.

I think he is a kook but at least he used to be an entertaining kook.

Wife and I filled out our ballots last night. Two more for Trump, and her vote was hard-fought, but she can't stand Hillary and sees the gravity of the choice before us.

Conversation at work yesterday kept lightly touching on the election, but whenever it did, I started talking about my dinner plans for Tuesday night, in detail. Food talk is a sure fire way to derail a conversation at work.

Anyone else ready to gnaw off their own hand? I'm trying hard not to open any news sites or listen to talk radio. This is the only page I come to today.

Amazingly, I'm actually super relaxed today. There is a calm over me. I plan on staying very busy with paperwork and a few projects we have going on on the ship here. Other than that, the TV is turned off, and I don't plan on getting into too much discussion about the election.

SIGforum will be my only outlet today.

Yeah, self-imposed media blackout for me, as well. I might poke around here a bit, but no msm sites... Wish I could just skip ahead to tomorrow morning.

Oh, and for those so inclined, I encourage you to pray for the election. EVERYTHING we hold dear as Americans is at stake.

I am going to watch the coverage, HOPEFULLY to see the mainstream media pundits squirming and desperately trying to maintain an even disposition as they are forced to announce a Trump victory.

But....we'll see.

Its like watching your team all year, than passing on the Super Bowl. I have followed all 888 pages of this thread, I had made up my mind months ago. I contributed to Trump's campaign 3 times, and I voted for him a couple weeks ago in Florida's early election. I'm done until tomorrow morning. Tonight, I cook dinner for the wife, I pour a nice drink, and watch something less brainless than the election on the TV. With any luck, I will wake up "horizontally replenished" and with Trump as our new President.
