Shouldn't that be "awakened"?

I'm pretty sure that should be the pluperfect past subjunctive: The silent majority haves woken up. Yep. That's right now. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

The media keeps saying this is solely a revolt against the political elite and that is why Trump seems to be immune from the usual negative press that would run others. The media is in full denial mode. __________________________ They keep saying they just want "sensible gun laws" but they hold up countries where they are banned and confiscated as their ideal. Antis thinks guns are only good for killing people. I think guns are good for self defense. So I'm the one with the "problem"? The Bill of Rights affirms the Rights of the Individual Not the State. Well, it is a key part, I think. Hard to say how much, but I bet it's neither small nor insignificant. Care to speculate what else it is and the relative importance of each?
Nicely done. | |||

Yes, it is a revolt against the political elites. But, why? I think Americans feel that our country has been taken away from us-- our values, our ideals, our work ethic-- by these elites in politics and in the media. America is on a very fast downward slide, so when Trump says, "Make America Great Again" it resonates. In a negative way, and in a positive way. The negative: For just one thing-- stop these political elites from flooding our country with Democrat votes and Republican cheap labor. Swelling the rolls of welfare and other social services, spiking violent crime, spreading disease, overwhelming the educational and medical systems. All to serve the selfish interests of the elites at the expense of ordinary Americans. The positive: America is great. We all know it in our bones. It is a historical and an existential reality. We want to free it of the destructive forces that are crippling it, and it's greatness will naturally shine forth again. Something like that. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

The other part the public is revolting against is the media elite. Themselves. __________________________ They keep saying they just want "sensible gun laws" but they hold up countries where they are banned and confiscated as their ideal. true. it's a reaction to an excess of ruling-class-behavior, of elitism, of the putrid double standards that have been going on too long, and are too widespread, and too accepted as an acceptable norm - when they most certainly are not. it manifests in the politicians, the pundits, and the Press - and you're correct, the MSM is in denial regarding how they share in the responsibility and ire for being such whores, who despite any supposed allegiance to quality journalism - much less party or country - they are whores who believe themselves saints, and this is a rude awakening they sorely need to learn from.

IMO the MSM is equally at fault for the mess the country is in today. The way Trump has been treated even as his popularity grew proved to me the contempt they have for the American people. Trumpeting every single meager negative story proves not only their ruthlessness but their desperation as well. Their public approval is less than Congress and they have the gall to show their asses on TV with all their snarky and snide comments. There is no bigger ivory tower than cable news (opinion) channels selling to a core audience they carefully cultivated. People are waking up to this form of control. Every time Trumps numbers go up after a negative story you better believe it's a big F U to the media. __________________________ They keep saying they just want "sensible gun laws" but they hold up countries where they are banned and confiscated as their ideal. JOIN, or DIE |
So...Trump was talked about on all the Sunday shows today, mainly with focus on his interview on the Hugh Hewitt show (I've never heard of him). Hewitt asks him about some General in charge of the Qud's Forces as a 'gotcha' question. Trump didnt know him or supposedly misheard the question. They were trying to make a big deal about him not knowing some General in the Iran Army. The media is really grasping at straws trying to bring him down. They just don't get it. Trump supporters care about real problems and plain talk, not if he knows who a General in some foreign army is. Seriously, with all the problems we have as a nation... Another thing, its funny how Republicans seem to always get these questions. What do you think about the "Premier" of Botswana's plan for social migration? What is his name? What party is he a part of?

The funny thing is I think he got this correct because he goes on to say basically it doesn't matter who is there today it will be someone else tomorrow. Hell I heard the same number two guy name come up as kills three times in a couple years. How many times can you kill the same guy? ------------------------------ Knowing is half the battle! Advantage Trump! A man who owes "No" one. "LINK" Photo from another source: Donald Trump’s presidential campaign boosted by private air fleet Published September 05, 2015 The Wall Street Journal Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has a big advantage hidden in plain sight: Trump Air. Mr. Trump’s fleet of private aircraft, which includes a Boeing 757, a Cessna Citation X and three Sikorsky helicopters, whisks the billionaire executive to Republican primary events in far-flung locales, some of them difficult to reach by commercial planes. The fleet also allows Mr. Trump to promote his brand. He garnered valuable publicity at the recent Iowa State Fair, for example, by giving children free rides in one of his helicopters with a huge Trump logo on the side. “It’s a massive, unbelievable competitive advantage,” said Dave Carney, a GOP campaign consultant who was chief strategist for Rick Perry’s 2012 presidential primary campaign. “Having access to a private jet is the single most important asset to any national political campaign. It’s hugely expensive, but it gives you the ability to set your own schedule.” The two Trump jets logged at least 71 campaign-related flights between April 1 and Aug. 31, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis of Federal Aviation Administration flight records on Flightwise.com and FlightAware.com. The flights included at least 26 stops in airports serving Iowa, New Hampshire or South Carolina, all of them early primary or caucus states. As of Sept. 1, Mr. Trump’s jets have been blocked from being tracked by commercial aviation sites, which is permissible. In an interview, Mr. Trump said other campaigns might charter planes, but his 757 has amenities such as two bedrooms and a shower. It also features a 57-inch TV, pillows emblazoned with the Trump family crest and gold-plated seat belt buckles and bathroom faucets, according to a 2011 promotional video of the jet provided by his campaign. “It’s like living in a beautiful home,” Mr. Trump said. “The advantage is that I’m able to fly nicely, quickly and on time.” He said he owns the aircraft outright and has no mortgages on them. Flyovers with his Trump-branded planes, such as a recent one when his 757 circled over a campaign rally at an Alabama stadium, maximize his impact, Mr. Trump said. “We flew over the center of the stadium and the place went wild. It gave impact to the stadium and it gave impact the following day when everybody carried it” on television, he said. Many of his GOP rivals, meanwhile, are flying commercial flights for all or much of their travel. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio typically flies commercial; he and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush sat next to each other on an American Airlines flight from Miami to Nashville, Tenn., for a National Rifle Association event in April. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has flown commercial of late, although he racked up a hefty private-jet tab last year when flying as chairman of the Republican Governors Association. While former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum reported $10,000 in commercial airline expenditures for the second quarter, his campaign emails have asked supporters to “fill up the tank,” seeking per-mile donations to fund his visits to all 99 counties in Iowa by car.

Trump is getting 25% of the black vote. We know polls are doo doo, but suppose this is way off and it's really only 15% --Of the black vote!! There have been similar polls strong for him among Latinos. http://www.thegatewaypundit.co...ure-a-gop-landslide/ What is happening with Trump is one of the most amazing stories in American history. The scope of it just keeps unfolding. While Krauthammer tells us that Jeb looks like he "really ate his Wheaties this morning!" The cluelessness of the professional politicians and the media are a big part of the historical proportions of this story. Not since "Let them eat cake" have elites been so out of touch. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

When Trump had 15%, they said that he would never get more. His support would never increase. When Trump had 20%, they said that he would never get more. His support would never increase. When Trump had 25%, they said that he would never get more. His support would never increase. When Trump had 30%, they said that he would never get more. His support would never increase. I'm not a professional statistician, but I think these numbers show us who doesn't know what they're talking about.
