Obama has out done even his own standards for low class / over the top ramblings.

In North Carolina, Obama:

"We won't win this election, potentially, if we don't win North Carolina,"

"I hate to put a little pressure on you, but the fate of the republic rests on your shoulders. The fate of the world is teetering ."

Obama repeatedly laid into Trump, one sentence after another, saying that he had "no respect for working people," mocking his claim that he has a"good brain," and lambasting the Republican presidential nominee's plan to bar all Muslims from entering the US.

"What I can tell you is that we can't afford a president that says we should torture people, or that should ban entire religions from our country," Obama said.

Obama also noted how congressional Republicans have already mulled investigations and a potential impeachment of Clinton over her use of a private email server while serving as secretary of state.

"They're promising years of investigations years of hearings, more shutdowns, more obstruction," Obama said.

He added moments later: "You've got some Republicans in Congress already suggesting they will impeach Hillary. She hasn't even been elected yet. It doesn't matter what evidence, they'll find something. That's what they're saying already. How does our democracy function like that?"

Better late than never.

Ted Cruz is set to appear with Pence at Trump rallies in Iowa and Michigan tomorrow, finally joining the Trump team on the campaign trail.

Donald Trump will be at a big rally in Hershey, PA Friday night at 7pm. I live about 1.5 hours away and was thinking of going.

What time should I head out? Friday morning? Razz

Last rally he did near Philly, people were there 3-4 hours early and STILL got turned away due to such an overwhelming crowd.

All this unlimited immigration into the U.S. probably does not play well with the black voters of North Carolina. A lot of them are hard working people just trying to make it like everyone else. They don't want the terror or all the illegal immigrants from Central America driving down wages.

Man, it is such a good thing the repubs have played nice all this time so he would go easy on them as being partisan.

WOW on USA Today. I know this has been reported here but to see it on the headlines of this paper is astounding:

WikiLeaks email shows Justice official alerting Clinton team to House hearing

http://www.usatoday.com/story/...-wikileaks/93202266/

WASHINGTON — A Justice Department official offered Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta a "heads-up'' last year to a pending congressional hearing where a Justice colleague was likely to be questioned about Hillary Clinton's email use as secretary of State, according to hacked communications released Wednesday by WikiLeaks.

In the exchange, Assistant Attorney General Peter Kadzik, writing on a personal email account, appears to alert Podesta to a House Judiciary Committee hearing later that day where the Justice Department's Civil Division chief was slated to testify.

"Likely to get questions on State Department emails,'' Kadzik wrote May 19. The message goes on to inform Podesta of an update in a Freedom of Information Act request for State Department communications that "indicates it will be awhile (2016) before the State Department posts the emails.''

Attached to the Kadzik communication was a message that appears to be forwarded by Podesta to various Clinton staffers, stating: "Additional chances for mischief.''

Kadzik also was the author of a letter earlier this week providing the Justice Department's response to questions posed by House and Senate leaders about the FBI's new review of recently discovered emails that could have a bearing on the previously closed investigation into Clinton's handling of classified information at the State Department.

USA TODAY

Obama critical of FBI 'leaks' and 'innuendo' in Clinton investigation

"We assure you that the department will continue to work closely with the FBI and together, dedicate all necessary resources and take appropriate steps as expeditiously as possible,'' Kadzik wrote.

Attorney General Loretta Lynch had opposed FBI Director James Comey's decision last week to formally notify Congress of the email discovery, a move that rocked the presidential race in the last days of the general election.

The Justice Department did not immediately comment Wednesday on the WikiLeaks release.

Asked Wednesday about the relationship between Podesta and Kadzik, Clinton campaign spokeswoman Jennifer Palmieri characterized the communications as "stolen emails that haven’t been authenticated.”

She said the information was "leaked for the purpose of damaging our campaign.''

Don't think I'm not thinking about that, given the bone headed statements you've been posting.

The folks you mentioned have fairly distinguished reputations for intellectual prowess, sound thinking, and when someone labels them "losers", that needs to be explored. One wonders whether such epithets reflect more on the accuser than the objects.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

I'm sorry to see Sowell in that list of losers, but it's true that he has been down on Trump. "Even Homer nods."

But-- holy crap-- George Will is "distinguished" for his "intellectual prowess"?? Today he said that he was hoping for a Hillary Clinton LANDSLIDE victory! Bill Kristol is the leading "Never Trump" figure! Kelly launched the phony-baloney "Trump's war on women" attack! Krauthammer and Shapiro have been clueless, establishment parrots.

And when Trump wins, they all lose.

This is arguable?

Yeah, several of these folks, I used to have a lot of respect a year ago.

Not now.

"Sound thinking" for guys who have basically denounced the Republican nominee because he is not as smart as themselves? The horror.

How elitist.

One's "intellectual prowess" is another person's trash.

You seem to expect to be able to say anything and not be challenged or confronted. Disagreeing with someone is not being an ass. You do say many things that don't bear much scrutiny, but expect no one will mention the inconsistencies. If you are right, defend your views. Make your arguments. Don't whine that people are being mean to you.

No it's not.

More environmental regulation vs less.
Lawful immigration vs open borders.
Less gun control or common sense gun control.
More taxes vs fewer taxes.
Constitutional SCOUTUS vs left wing nuts.

They all want the latter in everything I just mentioned by going NEVER TRUMP. I put them all in the Glenn Beck category. Too bad they never got over their butt hurt because their guy didn't win. So butt hurt that they actively tried to undermine what the majority of Republican voters wanted. I guess they are that much smarter than those of us that are deplorable.
