What's with the wikileaks release of more emails today? I'm hearing there is some pretty damaging stuff being released. Did I miss a discussion about it here???

I do wish Trump (or some of his campaign people) would read this thread and take some of the good stuff (like that above) to heart.

God bless America.

One Hundred Percent agree. Oh, that wasn't dirty talking. Go to lunch with a bunch of software geeks and you'll get a little closer to dirty. Go to lunch with guys working road construction and you'll be much closer to dirtyBig Grin

You should hear the opposite end of the spectrum. I had a lunch meeting today with a man who makes 12mm+ annually. The shit he was saying and the stories he was telling me make this whole fiasco sound like a children's story.

Both McConnell and Ryan have issued a statement this evening, as has Gingrich, all saying essentially the same thing: The lukewarm apology on Trump's website isn't nearly enough. They all practically begged Trump to understand the gravity of what has happened and to issue a much more in-depth acceptance of guilt and apology as quickly as possible.

Trump has tomorrow to do this. After that......it may be too late.

He's taken too long with this video response. This broke hours ago and now it's almost 12 AM on the east coast. It would have been better had he done it before the 11 o'clock news, so it would have been part of their coverage.

Beneath the veneer of civil discourse lies many-a discussion. Husbands, wives, men, women, and whoever now-a-days have conversations that are not ready for public defense. Horn dog Willie brought his own special charm to cigars but his fetishes were not really ready for public discussion. Many couples have their own brand of not ready for public talk and actions as well. People know this of themselves.

Because such things are often big deals when they break through the veneer, we all would not want all of our private words made public. Hillary’s have been exposed in books about her rages and vendetta personality.

Ryan may genuinely be a prude or truly offended because of some line he has set for his own life and those he deems worthy of leadership. But, that is a matter of Ryan’s philosophy or, maybe, his political opportunism. People that prudish now-a-days may be showing why the conservative movement was rejected in the primaries. Cruz’s father said that the Bible supported only one proper choice: Ted Cruz. Beck called Cruz a fulfillment of prophesy. But, the voters chose someone else.

A lot of the established conservative movement missed the point that people were not voting for the best moral choice in the primaries. They were voting for someone who could change and fight the system as it is. People do not always want to live their lives in the same way that their champions do. Fighters often have a life no one would choose for him/herself.

It is understandably true that seeking to sexually engage someone else’s wife is detestable - but not to everyone. There have been so many examples of it in real life that changing mores leave many voters not as shocked as they are supposed to make it seem. Polite company often demands a certain response to things.

Tony Perkins , a long time godly man, responded to the latest revelations that he has long known that he and Trump do not have the same values. Yet, he will be voting for Trump. Faced with potential government and court persecution of Christians, knowing that Hillary would like to thwart free speech, understanding that Hillary wants to dull the First Amendment, Christians have politically grown up.

The power to vote is more than a power to choose a leader, it’s a power to choose a direction. The most crass leader that is heading toward an overall better future is quite important. Voters, even Christian and moral religious voters, are choosing a direction. Given the Evangelical support for Trump, many in the religious world are evidencing a new maturity.

A man with moral issues is, in this election, preferable to a person who will lie to the people, expose our secrets and leave our countrymen to die. Hillary’s vision is for more of the same welfare, unemployment, decline, leftist courts and loss of world influence. Moral people should choose Trump as a better direction despite whatever faults one may dislike in him.

For Ryan to miss this point again shows a lack of practical verve. What does he intend to accomplish by banning Trump to make him “think” upon his actions? Is Ryan arrogating to himself some superior moral authority while electioneering for 2020 . . . again?

The fact that Ryan may prefer to work with Pence bodes well for us all because Pence has a proven track record of getting things through Congress. That has been Pence’s job from day one if Trump/Pence is elected. Now, Ryan means it as a slight but Trump may rise above it so long as Pence has the integrity to stay subordinate.

This "video" is such a mistake. I wish he would just call a press conference for 10 am tomorrow morning, state over and over again how much he screwed up, apologize over and over, and that it won't deter him from his mission to make America great again, and then move on.

He's looking like a spoiled billionaire on this one. A nation's future hangs in the balance.....

I really wish you all would get a grip. Yes, it doesn't sound good. No, he's not sunk himself.

Hillary is talking about an open border Western Hemisphere and how she always has a public position and private position on everything she does in politics, but all we hear about is Trump talking about grabbing pussy, fuck me.

Well, the media most certainly will want to run this story day and night and ignore the real news about Hillary, so it will be totally up to Trump to pivot to the new Hillary revelations at the debate and articulate it well.

His performance in the next debate is more crucial than ever now.

He apologizes and grovels tomorrow and Tuesday tape 2 comes out...what's he gonna say then, that he's super duper sorry? The odds of their only being one tape or bimbo is slim.

Apologize one time for liking women and be done with it.

Don't post when you are intoxicated. It results in humiliations like you have experienced here. Probably best to just follow along for the rest of the evening.

I thought the video statement was fine. It was well measured.

Still, the next debate will be when he can put this to bed and move on.

For now, all the rest of us can do is keep the faith. I think I'll donate again.

Dirty is awesome.

This wasn't dirty, this was a dude basically bragging about straight-up sexual assault. And you know, sure... lots of guys say "Yea, I would bend her over" or "I would do this to her..."

Sure.

Difference is, most of those guys don't have dozens of women over the years who've stated that they were doing stuff like this. Trump has settled lots of cases, and there are lots of women out there who have said (and this is over *years*) he did shit like this.

100% agree. He got caught in some stupid locker room bragging. It looks boorish. Oh well, most guys and a surprising amount of women will not care.

Does it look good? No.

Is he my first choice? No.

Is he our last chance? Yes.

Wil it be used in commercials? Damn straight.

Will he (and America survive)? Yes.
