Now pay close attention here, 'cause this is important: If you alienate potential Trump voters to the degree that they stay home and do not cast a vote for Mr. Trump, or if you motivate tham cast a "protest" vote for one of the third party candidates, then you have created more votes for Mrs. Clinton.

For God's sake, QUIT ATTACKING OTHER REPUBLICANS! QUIT ALIENATING POTENTIAL TRUMP VOTERS. Your constant pissing, whining, and finger pointing are playing right into Mrs. Clinton's hands.

Correct, the stuff you hear on the news about "trump said this" be it 2A or founding Isis is being flipped by the media, because anything controversial means viewers,

Trump no more meant that Obama was in a cave with 5 bearded muslim clerics and created the ISIS manifesto than he was trying to induce that 2A supporters should or would go after the other candidates life. It's absurd, we now have an entire press corp that is nothing more than tabloid journalism.

Really do we believe that Tommy Lee Jones had sex with an alien and that they had a space baby.

I might suggest that in the future when you reply to a post that you Bold or Italicize the parts that you're referring to. This greatly cuts down on confusion.

I spoke with a fellow employee in the lunch room today, who was visibly upset watching CNN rip Trump apart on their "news" show. I asked her what exactly about Trump upset her, and she went off listing all the crap that CNN feeds the sheeple. When I commented on one of her stated reasons, it just turned her off. This was a white woman in her late fifties, but I can't say she was a high IQ objective thinker. She was pure feeling, almost no rational thought and no capability to entertain my statement. So I suppose this is a good representation of all the women Trump is apparently pissing off, even though if they had any brains, they wouldn't hate him nearly as much or any at all.

The media has never gone bonkers to such a degree and on such a scale as they have in the past three months. And it seems to be escalating. They are like baying hounds that have treed a coon.

They are going nuts.

As the former Secret Service agent tells Don Lemon on CNN in the clip I posted in this thread earlier, it has crossed the line into comedy.

And if you can step away from it and look, it really is funny.

I was driving in today and turned on NPR. Mistake (frequently is). They had some journalists on to discuss the question of whether the media was treating Trump fairly. The conversation made me very very very angry. They just don't see what they are doing wrong, and when the lone conservative calls them out - he is lying and unreasonable.

I realized that myself after Hillary Clinton implied that we 2nd Amendment people would use "violence" against her. That's why I just suddenly popped into this topic.

Way to go Donald Cool

Donald Trump told CNBC on Thursday he will either win with his frank and uncensored style of campaigning or enjoy a "very, very nice long vacation."

Republicans have long hoped Trump will pivot on his behavior, but in the "Squawk Box" interview, he said:

"I'm a truth teller. All I do is tell the truth. And if at the end of 90 days, I've fallen short because I'm somewhat politically correct even though I'm supposed to be the smart one and even though I'm supposed to have a lot of good ideas, it's OK. I go back to a very good way of life."

A State Department spokesperson clarified Thursday that Hillary Clinton’s 2009 ethics pledge—to avoid conflicts of interest with the Clinton Foundation— did not extend to Clinton’s top aides at the Department.

Spokesperson Elizabeth Trudeau was asked about recently revealed emails that showed top members of Hillary Clinton’s staff doing favors for Clinton Foundation associates. “I’m not going to speak to specific emails, but I think you guys know State Department officials are regularly in touch with a wide variety of outside individuals and organizations including businesses, nonprofits, NGOs, think tanks,” Trudeau replied.

“You don’t feel like there was impropriety in the relationship between the Clinton Foundation and the State Department at the time?” the reporter asked. But Trudeau simply repeated her statement about the Department talking to a wide range of people.

At this point another reporter interjected, “Importantly, in this case, Secretary Clinton made a pledge that she would not personally or substantially, in any way, involve herself with the Clinton Foundation.” He continued, “So it’s not just any outside organization, it’s the specific organization that she said ahead of time she wouldn’t have contact with.” “Doesn’t this then seem to violate that pledge?” he asked.

“So, again, to reiterate, you know, Department officials are in touch with a wide range of individuals,” Trudeau replied. She added, “I’d note that former Secretary Clinton’s ethics agreement did not preclude other State Department officials from having contact with Clinton Foundation staff.”

Pause a moment and consider what a slimy, Clintonian admission this is, one that reveals how utterly hollow Clinton’s pledge was all along. Does it matter if Clinton vowed not to be involved with the family Foundation if her chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, and top aide, Huma Abedin, were free to carry on as they pleased? What kind of ethics pledge is this?

Trudeau’s answer also still did not really respond to the initial question, i.e. is it a problem that state officials were doing favors for the Clinton Foundation? The AP’s Matt Lee tried once more to get Trudeau to answer that question. When she continued to repeat her talking point about speaking with outside organizations, Lee became exasperated.

“I’m sorry, am I not speaking English?” Lee snapped.

it sounds like the entire upper management of the State Dept should be fired

The corruption is so deep and widespread at this point, I dont see many options out of it. This scares the crap out of me. It really does. I only hope Im around to take some of the load off my kids. At the sheer rate this is accellerating, I think I will be. God help us as a Nation.

The very same sort of hollow and meaningless-by-design nonsense as the other GOP candidates agreed to earlier on in this election. It's fucked up whether it's Hillary or Jeb or whomever else, though on the bright side it's been a vehicle for all to see just how little so many of the crooks in D.C. think of us, pledges, ethics, their jobs, and the rest. If anything, Hillary is just better/worse at it, the queen of it - if you will... and she must be defeated.

Yes, I am a Christian.
I believe we have been given the gift of free will. I believe that even the ill-informed and those who couldn't care less also have been given the gift of free will. So... I don't believe that God plays politics or gets involved in our Presidential race. We all have the gift of free will so we have to try to convince those who disagree with us to follow our lead. Prayer alone won't do it. It takes hard work.

When only a grand total of 9 percent of registered voters voted for the two candidates running for President, you may have to be reminded that those who didn't vote also have free will.

The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I've given up entirely on watching any cable news shows. I'll look at the FoxNews website, but that's the extent of it.

For the sake of your sanity, gentlemen, I'd suggest that you do the same. It's just not worth it. Pointless.

I like watching Fox News, have for years, even with Geraldo, but if they are going to run live Clinton nonsense like they have been, I'm out of there.

Fox News has Clinton, AHC runs Hitler/Nazi crap.... I've seen more baseball games this summer than in the rest of my summers put together (70 of them).

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

I don't watch tv news anymore.

Most "written" news reporting looks too much like the National Enquirer or similar rags.

Pretty sad state.

I will use Drudge as a source for links, and those posted here and take a look, but will dump the page if it is typical garbage
reporting".

The dialog here, the commentary on news is mostly where my diet originates.

Most people here are good at cutting through the garbage and what remains is most credible and useful information.

Just tired of the Main Stream of urination on my leg.
