Sad that the GOPe thinks Mittens is a "big gun" and that anything Mitt says will have an impact.

It has been pointed out clearly so far but the only question you have to ask is if you are a career politician in the Senate or House with a R behind your name, which candidate stands you the best chance of gaining more power and preserving the established system in Washington?
Trump or Clinton.

The status quo is banded together on this one and the illusion of Democrat versus Republican is hard for them to maintain with Trump in the race. A poster earlier in the thread nailed it on the head, the Washington establishment is "scared shitless".

They are not only afraid of Trump but of Cruz also. If the GOPe smear campaign is successful in derailing the Trump Train, rest assured they will turn their sights on Cruz next. If either of them win the White House it will spoil the nice little thing they have going.

That is why we desperately need Trump and Cruz to make nice. Guaranteed victory.

I agree but the only thing that scares me about Ted Cruz is the siren's call of power. Cruz, as a conservative, would be easier for the Republican party to work with than Trump.
I would vote for Cruz if he got the nomination no doubt but he would most likely take the "rebuild the party to what it used to be" approach which is safer for the establishment.

If Trump goes all the way, I just don't see him and Cruz kissing and making up for the VP slot. Nope, just don't see it. Kasich on the other hand....hmmm.

I think Trump would be able to work with Cruz, but Cruz would not be able to work with Trump. Cruz has risen as a true conservative. They don't fit each other.

Cruz is both socially and fiscally conservative. That is why you see Phil Robertson on stage with him. Traditional family values so forth and so on. He and Trump are fundamentally in different places on this. Many of the strongly religious social conservatives would not pull the lever for Trump even if Cruz is on the ticket. On the flip side many of the cross over liberal votes that Trump can pick up he would loose if Cruz was on the ticket.

Yea. Thats comical. Sitting in a hotel lobby watching CNN now. Topic is how Trump would "certainly" use his power to get back at those who opposed him.

No talk of the past 8 flipping years of course. Lois Learner? Who??

Who suddenly appear to be hopping in bed together on this speaks volumes.

Trump & Cruz had a series of meetings before all the name calling started. I'm still not sure they aren't playing the game together. But, as much as I would like for Cruz to be president I think Trump is going to take the nomination.

However, I think now that instead of VP, Justice Cruz sounds wonderful. I would much rather have him defending the Constitution for the next 40 years than VP or President ever...

Trump puts up some thoughts on healthcare reform.

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/p...ns/healthcare-reform

Why do so many criticize Trump (and others) for not having detailed plans to replace obamacare in their hip pocket ?

The Dems took a year to have dozens (hundreds ?) of Dem House reps and senators, staff, health insurance reps, big pharma, etc write the 2000 page bill. HHS has expanded that to 20,000 pages of "policy".

I noted that mittens' first attack was some crap about some "bombshell" in Trump's tax return.

How the hell would he (mittens) know what was in that tax return? My respect for Romney has gone the way of the wild goose. Now it is just disgust.

Mrs. Elk maintains that he has been promised a ambassador slot somewhere. Very possible.

Edited to add:
I notice that Mittens' TV announcement scheduled for 11 AM, has been delayed until 11:30. If it happens then!

One thing I learned long ago was that if you are trying to make a positive impression, be on time, be brief, and have real facts.

A commentator was reading Mittens' comments so far, all BS, what would be called hate speech if it was directed at a large number of other people.

You know the GOPe is scared when they drag out some of these "never was" types.

Details man! Where are the details? Trump has no plans for anything!

And we can know one thing for certain. Billionaire business men can never get anything accomplished. They never follow through with anything they say they'll do.
