Trump is making a YUGE mistake by endorsing Ryan/Ayotte/McStain & other RINOs. They will turn on him as soon as they win their primaries. The only thing he could do that would be worse, is include Krispy Kreme in his cabinet (like AG).

Oh please. It's the absolute right move. He needs allies, especially now. Ryan was going to win regardless. As well as McCain and Ayotte. It did him no good to be on the losing side.

I can't see how this hurts him in any way. It certainly didn't cost him my vote. The target now needs to be winning the presidency; not feuding with RINOS.

I believe I heard Trump just quote Reagan, somewhat along the lines of "Die-hard conservatives thought that if I couldn't get everything I asked for, I should jump off the cliff with the flag flying-go down in flames. No, if I can get 70 or 80 percent of what it is I'm trying to get ... I'll take that and then continue to try to get the rest in the future." Not the exact quote DJT used, but he paraphrased it. It's time we quit eating our own. The winning of the election is paramount to those who we at least can agree with 70-80% of the time. What % do we agree with those who vote for the D candidate. No I don't care for all Rs' but I'm definitely closer aligned to them & need their support to beat the Democrats.

And that, folks, is why Trump WILL BE the next President of the United States. I hope everyone tuned in.

I'm in the process of moving to Washington state right now.

The first thing I'm going to do is take a page from the liberal playbook. I'm going to immediately register to vote, and help convert the state to what I think it should be

No.... only in this campaign would it even be a story for the Republican candidate to endorse the Republican Speaker of the House, the highest ranking Republican. Yes... He needs allies, especially now.

He should focus on crooked Hillary.
This week was a disaster because he attacked a Gold Star family (when it wouldn't have been a story if he just let it go) and then attacked Republicans because they were critical of his attacks on a Gold Star family.

He had so many things he could have focused on instead.... Hillary caught lying again, a delivery of cash for hostages, etc.

Nevertheless, McCain needs to be retired.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Just an observation, I think it's pretty cool his birthday is on Flag Day.

Also. Mike Pence comes across as very up to speed as a VP Candidate, quite unlike J Danforth Quayle.

I disagree. Ryan, McStain, et al will not be good allies, only when they need something.

"No.... only in this campaign would it even be a story for the Republican candidate to endorse the Republican Speaker of the House, the highest ranking Republican. Yes... He needs allies, especially now."

These new "allies" of his have refused to endorse him (the Repub candidate) to date. Only in this campaign season have the Speaker of the House & a former candidate refused to support the nominee. Too, they are very weak in standing up to Obama & the Dems. They will sell out the American people & Donald Trump as soon as they get the chance, again.

^^^^^ Stand alone, stand proud, but you won't stand for long. Not looking for a martyr here, just needing to win an election. Time to stick your thumb in the dam or be prepared to get washed away in November.

A UK news article reports that there WAS a video of U.S. ransom cash arriving in Iran:

"Iranian state-run media in Tehran did indeed videotape the arrival of a January 17 flight carrying $400 million in cash from the United States – and the money itself – judging from a documentary that aired the following month in the Islamic republic. …"

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/new...y-prisoner-swap.html

So Trump's claim that he'd seen such a video might've been correct after all. Didn't see anything about this in AP News, though… Whatta surprise. Smile

That's disappointing regarding Ryan. I'd like to see him sent home for his b.s./treachery.

Trump's rewriting the playbook. His instincts seem to be winning and I hope it continues.

I watch a lot of old movies especially British movies. There's an image of brash, arrogant, rude Americans that's also determined, positive thinking and successful. I think Trump reflects that self confident, can do image of what America used to be.

Agreed. Ryan seemed a shoo-in, so you could either have somebody likely to sabotage your (presumed) presidency or someone you can generally depend upon.

Really, the problem is many Republicans are weak. They need a strong President to keep them in line. Trump is brash and charismatic enough to do that-and punk a few Democrats for good measure.

I don't know if it "makes him" anything. Why don't you tell us? Obviously, you have an opinion on the matter. Don't pose questions to us. Tell us. Just say whatever is on your mind.
