Maximus, the report is fully consistent with what he has said many times in the past.

I find it interesting that I'm supposed to be appalled at Cruz not honoring his pledge to support the nominee, as a defense for a candidate who refuses to honor our pledge to our NATO allies.

oh man, Gingrich just blasted Cruz.

He said Donald Trump was most gracious in inviting the other candidates to speak w/o requiring an endorsement.

That may have been Trumps strategy to flush out who he can trust in the future. Cool

Did Cruz punk Trump?

Here's some more convention intrigue: Newt Gingrich's teleprompter apparently said, "Senator Ted Cruz in particular made the key point that we need to elect the Trump-Pence Republican ticket." But that's of course not what Cruz said. Instead, he told Republicans to vote their conscience. Did Cruz break a deal with the Trump campaign? If so, what an epic moment in American politics.

That's honestly going to keep you up at night? BTW, why the stretch on what was said? "he refuses to honor our pledge" where did he say that? Use some context when reading, it'll help.

I think your giving a socialist liberal rag too much credit. I don't have a problem with what Trump said anyway. Looks to me like another case "headline not exactly saying what the person said".

Although I certainly don't love everything Trump says, & even disagree on many things, at this point, it's either Trump or Hillary. Plain & simple fact. If your not gonna at least TRY to deny Hillary, frankly I don't have anything good to say.

Cruz pissed off so many people tonight, I think he'll be primaried out next cycle. what a huge disappointment. He certainly went from a "TEA party" libertarian to a RINO slimy politician prick in short time.

Apparently we have a few members here suffering from mental retardation. You make no sense and your crying is disgusting. Fools. Yeah, talk shit you self-righteous assholes. Dont you get it? Its Trump or Clinton. Thats it. Thats the choice. So cry some more about Trump and when Hillary gets elected say fucking goodbye to your guns. Idiots. You really want to take any chance that Hillary gets elected and re-tool for 2020???? The next president may very well appoint 3 justices to the Supreme Court. A few more votes the wrong way and McDonald/Heller goes bye-bye. Down ticket, what if the communist democrats take the house and senate under Clinton. Say hello to AWB #2. Idiots. You cry-baby moron America hating fools.

And another thing...the pledge. How much did we hear about it from the establishment when they were ramming it down Trump's throat? A ton. Now that Bush, Kasich, Cruz, etc have all dishonered themselves, how much do we hear about it from the establishment? Zip, nada, zilch. Lying bunch of crooks. If they really cared about the country, all of them would be begging and out there for Trump. They arent though and its clear they are all about themselves. Screw the Bushes, Romneys, Cruzes, Kasich, Lyndsey Graham and all the other fakers.

New York Times -

"For example, asked about Russia’s threatening activities that have unnerved the small Baltic States that are the most recent entrants into NATO, Mr. Trump said that if Russia attacked them, he would decide whether to come to their aid only after reviewing whether those nations “have fulfilled their obligations to us.”
He added, “If they fulfill their obligations to us, the answer is yes.”

If you don't like DJT, fine. Just be honest about your supposed quotes.

Well Shit! I am very disappointed with Ted. I am happy he at least showed up and I liked his speech since it was very much anti establishment. Since Cruz showed up I won't put him in the same class as Kasich who is the gov of Ohio and he appears to be either on vacation or hiding.

Cruz is a decent man in my eyes but he belongs in the senate being an obstructionist. That is his calling and that is his place. He does it well. He will not be president.

My favorite moment from tonight was watching Cruz finish his speech and seeing Donald trump clapping and giving a thumbs up. That was class and that is something I was hoping to see.

^^I was hoping Cruz was going to endorse Trump-but he did not. And he sure caught Hell for it too from many people in the audience. Time will tell if Cruz made the right decision on that speech.

This diminishes Cruz imo and he was my guy in the primaries. He would have been better off not speaking at all if he wasn't going to support the nominee he took the pledge to.
When he talked about replacing hate with love and all the other superlatives about one America and so on I thought the endorsement was forthcoming.

Apparently Ted can't practice what he preaches.
This will be remembered and will hurt his career going forward.

Newt was great and he will be awesome at whatever he does. I heard Trump was considering naming his cabinet before the election and I would like that! I am still hoping Kasich gets hit by a car.

People who think we need to wait until 2020 or "vote their conscience" are ignorant, pure and simple. Ignorant of reality, and about on the same level as the protestors shouting they hate America. People who think like this truely do not care for this country.

The only thing missing from the Trump bashers here is praise for Hillary. But I suspect they are to scared to write their true feelings.

Words cannot describe how disappointed I am with Ted Cruz.

He was my chosen horse, and I was in the "never Trump unless he is the only alternative to Hillary" camp... but this was sad. Very sad. Trump won fair and square. Had any or the stooges, Cruz, Rubio, Bush, Kasich, or ANY of them been smart and bow out he would not have won.

I hope I am wrong, but I doubt Trump can beat the Hillymonster... I will cast my vote for him, bit I can't see him winning.

But the same enemy of the so called Republican party rears it's head again, in that they fight among themselves harder than they fight the commie fools. If I was a conspiracy theorist I would think they are paid to lose... there is no way they can't see how foolish this is.

Either unify and defeat Hillary, or this nation is screwed.

Wake up this morning to find an email from Ted Cruz (I shot him some money during his campaign). He was asking for money for his senate campaign AND asking me to vote my conscience. Damn Teddy bear, you've got some big ass balls or are just plain stupid. I'm thinking more stupid, really stupid.
