I don't think the Speech issue is enough to derail the Trump train, but it's rather unfortunate and ill-timed and could have been so easily avoided. I've little doubt it was anything else beyond a foolish (or subversive) speechwriter not doing their job well, mixed-up with pride/embarrassment by Mrs Trump in claiming it's her original work. It's an annoying distraction, and an example of arming the enemy during a crucial battle.
