As for the Kentucky primary, the local NPR affiliate station this morning sounded like they thought for sure that Hillary was going to get trounced by Sanders. Mind you, we're all feelin' the Bern out here on the left coast, so it's possible they had a better bead on the situation than some of the references to other media outlets I'm seeing here about expectations that Shillary would sweep the state. She really shot herself in the ass with the coal thing. Who woulda thought, even a few weeks ago, that we'd be looking at a possible contested convention with the Dem's and the GOPe starting to solidify behind Trump?

Nearly all of the 150 or so precincts that have yet to report are all in Jefferson County (Louisville), which should be a Hillary stronghold. More than a little suspicious that so many precincts there are holding their totals.....

From the AP: Sanders leads by less than 1 point, or 1,012 votes, with 95% reporting.

She is likely to lose Oregon. Oh please, please let her lose Kentucky!! Two loses would hamstring her campaign....

From the AP: Clinton leads by 1 point, or 2,479 votes, with 99% reporting.

When they dumped in the remaining Louisville votes, Bernie didn't have a chance.

Still a moral victory for Sanders and a problem for Clinton. She was supposed to be strong here.

She is leading by .6% with 99% reporting. Not 6%, .6%

She could still lose.

Whatever happens, Bernie should come out and give a celebratory speech. Legitimately so. Hildabeast was supposed to win this handily, and it is the squeakiest of squeakers.

The closeness of the outcome will trigger an automatic recount. He could still prevail. Either way, she already failed in Kentucky....again.

Yes, there is no way she can give a believable victory speech. He took that away from her for sure. This is not even a "moral victory" for Sanders, he has in effect won this. It will just be sweeter if in a recount he formally wins.

I'm pulling for hillary because she has a lot of baggage for Trump's campaign to bring up. Bernie is more like obama nothing ever accomplished but nothing of a record to attack either. Bernie will bring out the democrat voters while hillary will not. In short hillary is the more beatable opponent.

I just heard a report on the radio that there are GOPe types who plan to torpedo the Trump nomination by denying him delegate votes. They are trying to get the selection thrown to the House.... I tremble to think of the ramifications of such treachery....

Trump has signed a joint fundraising deal with the RNC.

Now, where are all those people who said Trump couldn't raise enough money to run in the general election?

http://www.foxnews.com/politic...nt.html?intcmp=hpbt3

The Republican National Committee and presumptive nominee Donald Trump's campaign announced late Tuesday that they had reached a joint fundraising agreement, allowing the Trump campaign to raise funds to elect GOP candidates at all levels in this fall's election.

The agreement creates two joint fundraising committees. One of these, dubbed Trump Victory, will raise money for the RNC, the Trump campaign and 11 state Republican parties. The other, the Trump Make America Great Again Committee, will raise funds only for the Trump campaign and the RNC.

"Donald Trump knows the importance of keeping our Republican majorities at the local, state, and national level, and these joint fundraising agreements are another vital step in making that happen," RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement. "Donald Trump has received millions more votes than any candidate in the history of the Republican Party and we are confident that will carry forward into the general election."

The joint fundraising agreement allows individuals to donate up to $449,400 to Trump Victory., while the Trump Make America Great Again Committee will be able to accept smaller donations. RNC finance chairman Lew Eisenberg will hold the same position on the Trump Victory committee.

"We are pleased to have this partnership in place with the national party," Trump said in a statement. "By working together with the RNC to raise support for Republicans everywhere, we are going to defeat Hillary Clinton, keep Republican majorities in Congress and in the states, and Make America Great Again."

Trump's likely general election rival, Hillary Clinton, reached a similar agreement with the Democratic National Committee this past August. The Wall Street Journal reported that as of the end of March, the Hillary Victory Fund had raised more than $60 million, of which $13 million had gone to the campaign.

The 11 state parties that will receive funds from Trump Victory are Arkansas, Connecticut, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming.

The House?

I thought it only went to the house if no Candidate gets an absolute majority in the General. Am I mistaken?

It's hard for me to want The Bern to beat Hillary.

I really think Trump would fare way better against Hillary than Sanders in the general election.

The host was explaining it. I may have the parties and culprits wrong since it was radio and not a news piece I can read, but the message is clear. There are powerful forces that know the rules and politics who are working to subvert the will of the people here.

Hillary is getting the nomination regardless. However, the more Bernie wins these states up to their convention the better. I want to see chaos amongst the dems and pissed off Bernie supporters. So pissed off that they stay home in November.

That's the only reason why I keep hoping Bernie keeps winning because in the end he still won't get the nomination, but his socialist lemmings will be annnnngry.

Yep, Sanders isn't going to prevent Hillary from getting the nomination but he can sure help damage her cause.

The only thing now that might keep her from being the D nominee is the FBI investigation and possible indictment. Who knows how that's going to shake.
