OK, In your opinion, what are the common ground issues on which we (R voters) all agree?

It's like Beck is trying to make God his puppet. "God is saying this...my lips aren't moving...." Maybe a less offensive image would be The Wizard of Oz. But it has nothing to do with sanctity, or spirituality, or anything noble. It is just a cheap trick to amplify his own neurotic voice to divine proportions. YOU MUST DO THIS!!

Okay, we know Beck is nuts. But he is in league with the guy trying to push Trump out of the nomination.

Let's hope Cruz loses big tomorrow and that his sources of money dry up. That's about the only way he and his looney friend will go away.

Well, I have no idea what everyone will agree on, but in my opinion we lost the abortion fight, but that doesn't mean we should still have partial birth. Gay marriage is the law of the land, but churches shouldn't be forced into performing them. Even Trump has taken some of those stances the past year.

A few posts back someone mentioned the use of religion to influence voters into supporting certain agendas. This would seem to be the root foundation of many of these supposedly "Conservative" ideals flaunted today. The original founding fathers were for the most part God fearing men but not necessarily staunch Christians and adamantly sought to keep church and state separated. In our recent history it has become fashionable to attempt to mix the two. This may be the ultimate perversion of what our country was envisioned to be by those sage men. Have beliefs in your deity of choice and worship him as you see fit but keep him out of politics. He wouldn't much like being associated with such scoundrels as most politicians.

'Make America Mexico Again': Why Americans are fed up with illegals

Well fuck you and the donkey you rode in on Mad

There is something a bit unsettling about watching violent, foul-mouthed protesters waving the Mexican flag on American soil.

Over the weekend, Hispanic children lined the streets in Fort Wayne, Indiana – hurling filthy insults at Donald Trump supporters.

“F*** you,” the youngsters shouted as they flipped off passerby. “F*** you.”

Video captured images of the angry protesters wearing sombreros and holding signs that read, “Brown Pride.”

What kind of a parent would allow their child to behave that way in public?

A similar protest turned violent last week in Southern California – as a horde of illegals and their supporters violently attacked Trump supporters, police and even a horse.

Yes, a horse.

Cole Bartiromo, identified by local media as a Trump supporter, needed a half-dozen stiches after the mob bashed open his head.

“Suddenly, out of nowhere I felt this thud in the front of my head,” Bartiromo told CBLA.com. “I started panicking – getting scared, thinking, ‘When are they going to stop? Are they going to kill me? I mean, these aren’t rational people.’”

The California mob spilled into the streets – blocking roadways and smashing police cars. They intended to shut down a Trump rally. They intended to silence Mr. Trump and his supporters.

They were angry about the wall he plans to build – to secure our border from the invading **horde** of illegals. They were angry about Mr. Trump speaking the truth – about how illegals are killing Americans – on American soil.

One of the most disturbing images in recent days came from California – a small child – holding a sign. It read, “Make America Mexico Again.”

There was a time in this nation’s history when having 13 million people breach your border would have been considered an invasion. We used to fight wars over such a hostile act.

But these days instead of repelling the invaders, the Obama administration gave them food stamps, free health care, and a voter registration card.

We’ve been invaded and our government has provided aid and comfort to the enemy.

In both Indiana and California the protesters tried to bully and intimidate law-abiding Americans into silent submission. They tried – but they failed.

You see, the illegals need to understand something – “We the People” will no longer be silent. We will not allow our sovereignty to be violated anymore.

The American taxpayers have reached a boiling point. We are tired of illegals taking American jobs. We are tired of illegals living off our tax dollars. We are tired of illegals causing mayhem in our streets.

And more than anything, we are tired of lawmakers who refuse to defend American sovereignty.

The truth is we don’t know who or what has been coming across our southern border. We don’t know what dangers lurk in our neighborhoods.

And we want a president who will put American lives first. We want a president who will do whatever it takes to keep our families safe. We want a president who will defend our sovereignty.

And if I see one more foul-mouthed protester waving a Mexican flag on American soil – I’ll personally donate a pile of bricks to help build Mr. Trump’s wall.

If that alone changes, we will have had a major shift in the correct direction, fucking finally.

The Libertarian Party is absurd, but certain ibertarian ideals - fiscal conservatism, small and limited government, and hey... actual liberty, are something worth uniting behind.

I doubt much changes in that regard, as - sadly - sigfreund is correct. Far, far too many people like that shit, and care what color their neighbor's barn is, and here were are...
. I have to agree. All this time people blaming election losses on lack of a proper conservative. Ughh. I think what we were really looking for is anybody to stand up to the tranny of the left and This has been Donald Trumps advantage.

Morality cannot be legislated...unless you give up liberty......when will be people realize that.

People need to have the freedom to be pervs...lowlifes.....scum......white trash....thugs.....progressives.......bible bangers.....those who don't give a shit....and suffer the repercussions that those choices bring

You can thank Reagan for the religious right...he pandered to Mr Billy to win the election.....before that he was much more a Goldwater Republican

I hope so, cause I am voting for the same candidate.

I'm a Cruz supporter, but at this point I am sick of this crap. Time for me to tune out for a while. One of them will win (not likely the one of my choice) and I will vote for the victor. Period.

According to what I read in 1st Samuel, chapter 8 of the Holy Bible the separation of church and state wasn't an invention of the US Constitution. The Biblical text doesn't seem to endorse a state and church partnership. I think the founding fathers got that.

odd story about Cruz's dependence on 3 wealthy donors

1. Toby Neugebauer lives in Puerto Rico with his family among a community of mega-wealthy Americans who are taking advantage of the island’s generous income tax breaks.

2. Farris Wilks made a fortune in hydraulic fracking. Wilks serves as a pastor in Assembly of Yahweh, a church that forbids the celebration of Christian holidays such as Christmas and Easter.

3. Robert Mercer is a hedge fund manager

Cruz turned out to be a real righteous motherfucker, didn't he, and his old man is wicked pissed that he won't get the theocracy he was planning on. Trump isn't perfect and that part of the appeal.

We're voting for the president- not the pope.

Not to claim the mantle of a prophet but back in August I posted that the Trump candidacy had the ring of inevitability to it; here we are. Why? Trump is willing to answer the bell in the fight over what Globalization, crony capitalism, insecent wars, and political corruption have done to huge swaths of the American public. For many voters they finally see a Force willing to call it as it is.

One personal experience showed me how screwed up our current system is:
Recently, I was talking with a church friend who had just completed machinist training. Now admitedly, I live in a semi-rural area, but his starting wage (a man with a family) was $1.67 an hour less than I was paid to load trucks in the early 1980's. Plus, I had full medical, retirement, etc. The young man will get none of that.

Only Trump is addressing the angst felt by so many Americans today. Cruz, while a brilliant man, spent his political capital tilting at, what for many, are simply ideological windmills, Kasich talks about being a good Christian while having played the role of a Lehman Brothers Pirate ("golly shucks, I was just a minor player in a two bit office"). Trump connects.

As for the general election, if you think Trump was confrontational and used a "Damn the Torpedos, Full Speed Ahead!" approach in the primaries... Just wait.

Silent
