A lot of voters think that if they cannot win their own state that they're a poor legislator, because who would know a candidate better than it's own constituants. So voters in other states see that and switch sides.

If they cannot win their own state, then they almost always will not win the race.

I've had wondered just how this Country was being set up for failure. Now we see exactly how and by whom. We're gonna need some exceptional fortitude and Grace from the Almighty to see us thru this. The sheer amount of hubris on their part to be unaware of the path they are taking us boggles my mind.
