Because he stuck up for the original intent of the First Amendment he's mocked and belittled? I realize our country is turning our backs on God and religion, but our leaders have been quoting scripture and testifying of their faith in God since it's creation. Most are correct here that Cruz probably won't be the nominee, but he's going out being true to his beliefs and I respect that. People may think he's pandering, but he's father is a pastor and this race isn't the first time he regularly quoted scripture and testified of his belief in God.

The race is winding down and he's probably going home, but Iowa was weeks ago. People here don't want to hear about religion, which I understand, but there are also those here who don't want to see faith mocked. Can't we just talk about something relevant?

This is OT, but not worthy of a new thread.

Rubio affiliated people have challenged that Kasich did not file enough signatures to qualify for the PA primary.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich’s own lawyer agrees the presidential campaign submitted fewer valid signatures than are required for the candidate to appear on Pennsylvania’s primary ballot. But he argued in court Wednesday that it doesn’t matter because an objection to Mr. Kasich’s nominating petitions was filed 13 minutes too late.

Eh I was referring to this bullshit

"Trump Steaks? A defunct brand since 2007 that sold poorly in the first place, which explains why the meat being hawked at Trump National Golf Club as the real deal was actually from a local, non-Trump-affiliated butcher. Trump Water? Standard bottled water with the Donald’s branding. Trump Magazine? The actual publication closed down years ago, and the magazine Trump waved around at his press conference is actually a “glorified brochure” for Trump’s resort properties. Trump Airlines? Trump claims he sold it in a “great deal,” but the Wall Street Journal showed his attempt in 1989 to transform Eastern Airlines’s shuttle business into a luxury airline failed because it carried a “high debt load” and “eventually defaulted.”

Trump Vodka? Trump dismissed Romney’s criticism by ignoring it and talking instead about Trump Winery. To be fair, Trump Winery is a real, operating venture, but that’s as far as the truth goes. Trump claimed to own the winery in Charlottesville, Virginia, “100 percent,” but in fact Trump’s son Eric is the actual owner and neither Trump himself nor his organization have [any] ownership or management role. And the winery isn’t next to the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, as he claimed Tuesday—that’s in Washington, D.C. He was probably thinking of Jefferson’s home in Charlottesville, Monticello, on which the memorial was modeled. And none of this addressed Trump Vodka, which is indeed defunct."

Blah blah and fucking BLAH....more horseshit from the anti-Trump crowd. Who gives a fuck about his steaks? Unless its the Hillary crowd. Give it a rest Roll Eyes

It was after the freedom from religion post, so I thought that's what you were talking about. We have so many freaking problems right now I'm with you and could care less about something as trivial as steaks.

Why do I believe there's more to this story than we're being told. I want to see some video before I buy into this narrative.

To summarize, the losers are fighting over who's going to come in last place in the GOP primary. For god's sake, would both of them please go away.

Besides, my comment had nothing to do with liking or not liking Trump. It was in response to a silly question about elected officials in general. Of course elected officials reform things. And of course not everyone likes every reform.

I like Ted Cruz, and would have no problem voting for him if he wins the nomination.

But he isn't doing himself any good w stuff like this:

“Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice,” Cruz told CBN

Zactly, I have a lot of respect for Cruz and think he would be a great president however I am likely to vote for Trumph because I just want to bust GOP establishment shit up in Washington. Now Cruz calls me stupid? Not to smart for a Harvard guy.

He didn't call you stupid. From just in your post, you are obviously one of the angry voters he referred to.

There's nothing untrue about what he said.

I didn't think that a thread titled "Trump is a first rate ass clown, but" was intended to be restricted only to pro-trump postings. I figured it was for a discussion of Trump - pro or con. If it is intended to be only pro-trump, I will modify my posting behavior accordingly.

What?

I would counter that Trump supporters are perhaps the MOST engaged voters in this election cycle.

The "low information" comment was a cheap shot, but not that surprising. This past week has yielded yet another attempt by the Cruz campaign to misrepresent the facts to another state's primary voters, followed by yet another apology from Cruz for something he claims he knew nothing about. Yep, Cruz might be able to swing some voters over to his campaign, but essentially calling them stupid and angry isn't a good way to start that process.
