Why don't all the people that want to be president just show up at the convention and see who gets voted off the island? Primaries seem like such a waste of time to me, considering it's not at all about who the people want.

We hold primaries so that party members can express their desire. But the party gets to make the rules for that however it decides. And part of that is appointing things like super delegates. And deciding what winning actually means. (Hint: it doesn't have to mean just a plurality of the votes.)

You know what? I'm pretty pissed at them too. That's why I said republican primary process. Republican voters must be the ones to pick the candidate, not the party establishment. In the end, so long as the voters pick the candidate and we all then back that candidate and no one gets butt-hurt and runs third party we will beat Hillary.
