President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday secured the Radio City Rockettes to perform at his Jan. 20 inauguration — but at least one dancer was not happy with the decision.

Rockette Phoebe Pearl said in an Instagram post Thursday night that she was “embarrassed and disappointed” to appear at the event.

“I usually don’t use social media to make a political stand but I feel overwhelmed with emotion,” Pearl wrote.

“Finding out that it has been decided for us that Rockettes will be performing at the Presidential inauguration makes me feel embarrassed and disappointed.”

Pearl said she felt uncomfortable about the performance, given Trump’s history with unsavory language and assault allegations.

“The women I work with are intelligent and are full of love and the decision of performing for a man that stands for everything we’re against is appalling,” she wrote.

“I am speaking for just myself but please know that after we found out this news, we have been performing with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts #notmypresident”.

Earlier in the day, the Rockettes’ owner, MSG Entertainment, released a statement that they were “honored” to have been asked to perform at the festivities. The organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment early Friday.

According to Broadwayworld.com, the Rockettes were sent an email by their union that told them they were not able to “boycott” the event.

“Everyone is entitled to her own political beliefs, but there is no room for this in the workplace,” the email read.

“If you are not full time, you do not have to sign up to do this work. If you are full time, you are obligated.”

The news came hours after Trump claimed that top-shelf celebrities were clamoring to join his inaugural festivities.

“The so-called ‘A’ list celebrities are all wanting tixs to the inauguration, but look what they did for Hillary, NOTHING,” Trump tweeted. “I want the PEOPLE!”

Also expected to perform at the event were the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and 16-year-old former “America’s Got Talent” contestant Jackie Evancho.

Phoebe may not be employed there much longer.
Because they are their public image, Radio City runs a tight ship in regard to the Rockettes.

Oklahoma Great Barry Switzer Punks the Dishonest Media, Gives Them "Fake News"

Too many times these days, the mainstream media will jump on a story before knowing any of the facts to gain political advantage points.

Famed Oklahoma football coach Barry Switzer used and abused the so-called "dishonest media" earlier this month by straight up lying.

According to Politico, Switzer was shopping with his family in New York City when he passed by Trump Tower and decided to go in.

"All the media people said, 'Coach what are you doing here,'" Switzer said. "I told them I was here to see the president like everyone else."
However, Switzer only went upstairs, bought some coffee, and came back down.

"I told the reporters I had a great visit, and that we were going to make the wishbone great again," he said. "I told them I was going to be Secretary of Offense and that Trump knew how to run the ball down the field.

"Then I went back to my hotel and laughed my ass off. It went everywhere. Everyone believed it. I had all these calls, but I was just jerking people around."

Donald Trump has US consumer confidence near a 13-year high

December 23, 2016

The final consumer sentiment reading from the University of Michigan for 2016 came in just below a 13-year high.

And it’s all about Donald Trump.

Consumer sentiment hit a 98.2 in December according to the UMich survey, the highest since January 2004.

“While the surge in confidence following Trump’s surprise election ended by mid December, it nonetheless led to the highest level of the Sentiment Index since January 2004,” said Richard Curtin, chief economist for the survey.

“An all-time record number of consumers (18%) spontaneously mentioned the expected favorable impact of Trump’s policies on the economy,” Curtin added. “This was twice as high as the prior peak (9%) recorded in 1981 when Reagan took office.”

The Saints will sing for Trump's inauguration.

Beach Boys become the latest act linked to Trump's inauguration

God Only Knows: Beach Boys become the latest act linked to Trump's inauguration after Celine Dion and Kiss turned him down... but at least he's got the Mormon Tabernacle Choir!

By Dailymail.com Reporter and Associated Press

Published: 12:36 EST, 22 December 2016 | Updated: 19:39 EST, 22 December 2016

After a series of declined invitations to big-name acts, 'God only knows' if The Beach Boys will be performing at Donald Trump's inauguration in Washington on January 20.

The legendary California rock group is still mulling over an invite to croon at The Donald's welcome bash after he takes the oath of office as president, Page Six reported. The gossip site reports that a source close to the band, known for such classic hits as Surfin' USA and Good Vibrations, said that the members have yet to make up their minds.

Earlier on Thursday, French Canadian diva Celine Dion said 'non merci' when offered a chance to perform at the event. The Grammy-winning singer, 48, has passed on taking the stage when the Celebrity Apprentice star is sworn in as the 45th president of the United States January 20.

According to TheWrap, Las Vegas casino magnate Steve Wynn told Trump he could obtain the services of the My Heart Will Go On songstress to play in Washington, D.C. next month, but was unable to come through. Wynn also unsuccessfully attempted to recruit Garth Brooks, who formerly inked a residency contract with Wynn, to play at the event, sources told the outlet.

Others to reject offers to take the stage at the internationally-broadcast event include famed opera singer Andrea Bocelli and rock legend Elton John.

Amid increasing desperation from the Trump transition team, country legend Garth Brooks was asked to perform at the inauguration earlier in December. His spokesperson confirmed he entered into discussions with the Donald's team amid reports the president-elect was struggling to find any A-list stars to take part. Brooks, 54, one of the world's best-selling solo artists, performed for Democrat Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009, along with a line-up that included Bruce Springsteen, U2, Beyonce, and Stevie Wonder.

'Garth has performed for the five living presidents,' his publicist Nancy Seltzer said on December 9. 'While rumor has it that he has been asked to perform for President-elect Trump, he has not been able to commit yet.' Despite staying silent during the divisive election it was reported on Thursday 23 December that the icon had indeed turned down the opportunity to play.

This comes as slew of A-list stars refused to be associated with the swearing-in ceremony, including Elton John, Celine Dion and Kiss.

The famed rock band Kiss was confirmed not to be playing the event, Gene Simmons' wife Shannon Tweed told TMZ. Simmons added that the band was slated to be on a European tour coinciding with Trump's swearing-in.

The Republican's inauguration has been a tough sell to people in the show business industry, who generally lean left, as many of the acts who turned down the high-profile assignment did so out of not wanting to 'normalize' Trump's reign as president, a source told TheWrap.

Another big name in music, composer David Foster, said he 'politely declined' working on the historical event in a statement earlier this week.

As of Thursday, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and America's Got Talent personality Jackie Evancho, 16, has agreed to take the stage at the event. She told the TODAY show she was 'so excited' to take stage, predicting, It's going to be awesome.' 'I felt really honored to be able to sing for the office. It's a great honor for me.' The Mormon church announced on its website Thursday that the 360-member volunteer choir will sing at the ceremony on Jan. 20.

The group has performed at a handful of other presidential inaugurals, including those of presidents George HW Bush, George W Bush and Ronald Reagan.

Mark Burnett, who produced Celebrity Apprentice for Trump, is in charge of putting together the inauguration, the outlet reported, noting that respected talent booker Suzanne Bender has been added to the team amid Trump's impatience with its early struggles to procure big name performers.

Boris Epshteyn, who is working as communications director for the inauguration, told the outlet via email that 'first-class entertainers are eager to participate in the inaugural events,' promising 'an exciting and uniting celebration of freedom and democracy.'

Honestly, I can not think of any genuine positive leadership in the past 8 years out of this President. He exhibited none as a US Senator or as a State Senator - so he has a perfect 0-3 record for LEADING. He has clearly been out of his league.

Might I suggest Madison Rising do a song or 2 at the inauguration. F the commies in hollyweird, they can censor themselves and be against most everything they are supposed to stand for. Talk about irony.

AIR, obummer never had a job prior to his immaculation as a senator, and did virtually nothing there. Then moved to the white house and has done nothing but damage to this country since.

And now he has started his count down and is doing everything possible to do as much damage as possible.

In Hawaii I believe. He's on a "working vacation" is what they're saying.

"Working" is him granting as many pardons and commutations as he can and also still trying to release as many Gitmo detainees as he can. Doing what he can to screw America right up until the end for the sake of his ideology.
