So basically what you're saying Xero is most of Trumps supporters are complete morons? I'm not calling anybody a moron, just using Xeros logic Trump supporters would, by definition, be morons. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "The problem with our Liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, it's that they know so much that isn't so." The difference in arrogance is what you call them (and yes you are calling them morons since you brought up it up that way). Doesn't matter if they are morons or not. What matters is that their vote is not beholden to your elitism, nor will you sway them with your Democrat-style barbs on their intelligence. The fact is they will impact the future of the Republican party presidential performance in 2016 for better or worse. You don't have to like Trump or his supporters, but he has a voting block none of the others has in size or enthusiasm. Just because you think they are morons doesn't mean your RNC candidate will have a chance to beat Hillary when they decide not to use their "moron" vote on your non-Trump candidate.

I believe what he's saying is the silent majority has been brought back to the voting booth. By someone they think will do what is needed to straighten out the mess we are in. Some of those quit voting years ago because they realized it just didn't matter anymore. Whichever Party they voted for just meant who told the most believable lie. Trump "will" matter,he will bring what has been missing for a long time. Love for America . The silent majority has found a champion and they will vote again. "Trump-Cruz 2016"

No because most Trump supporters would not be stupid enough to stay home if Cruz won the nomination. Those that do, yes I will absolutely call them morons because that's what they would be. Now there is no friggin way in hell aim voting for Trump in the Primaries, but if he gets the nomination, then I'll vote for him in the general. You know why? Because I'm not a friggin moron who's just going to hand it to Hillary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "The problem with our Liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, it's that they know so much that isn't so." I don't believe for one second that "Trump Supporters" are all Republicans. Unlike most of the others on the GOP ticket, I believe Trump is drawing support from both Independents and even some Democrats.

You seem to be misunderstanding their dissatisfaction with holding their nose and voting the establishment. Chances are good that without trump, they "will" just no show. And just like they no showed with Romney vs obama, it will go to Hillary; like it or not. Trump's base isnt likely to compromise, and without them the "R" side cant win. So the choice becomes whether the rest of the party will compromise on Trump, because Trump's base isnt likely to compromise, even if it means Hillary. Whether its a group of angry white racists, morons, whatever they are labeled doesnt matter. The Republicans cant win witout them, as Romney proved. Trump is the one who will get them to the voting booth. So the choice comes down to whether the rest of the estabishment party can hold "their" nose and vote for Trump over Hillary as Trumps base has made thier beds and are determined to sleep in them. Alienatting them hurts the Republicans far more than it hurts the Democrats... Unless, like Romney, you are counting on the hispanic vote to save the Republican party.. Which is not a bet I would take. Look how well that bet worked for Romney without those "morons".

So it's because of you and people like you that we have Obama today. Thanks. My concern is the amount of corruption. People voting multiple times, dead people voting, you name it. Very little if anything is done to fix or stop this. It's truly disheartening. "Someday I hope to be half the man my bird-dog thinks I am." looking forward to 4 years of TRUMP!

This is where we can lose, big time! We've watched the Democrats steal the last two elections, and they'll steal the next two as well, if we let them get away with it. All they have to steal is 2% and they've got the deal done. And yet, the worthless establishment republicans still need trump's supporters far more than they need them. They have been fed the same shit sandwich flipped on the other side and all you can do is be mad that they'd rather burn the house down than continue with eating more.. I prefer cruz personally, but i can see why trumps supporters are so adamant. Because the rnc treats them like like the dems treat blacks in providing lip service simply for their votes. The republicans dont actually want these people in their party, and from the insults they get, i dont blame them a bit. I dont have to be a full on trump supporter (at least not yet), to understand why they dont give a crap whether the "republican" party wins. A long road to hell is the same as a short one when the destination is the same. I understand you want to blame someone, but im just trying to provide insight into "my reasoning" for trumps supporters, but youd rather call them morons (and me as the messenger) instead of looking in the mirror for failures in having obama. When the mule you need to carry your load wont do what you want it too, then kicking it for acting like a mule doesnt help. Calling trumps supporters names for acting exactly like everyone expects them to act is silly. You offer no carrots, other than "at least were not obama/hillary/democrats.." Apparently thats not enough anymore.

Leave the gun. Take the cannoli. |
Apparently we are looking at different polls. Polling data needs to account for various factors. The big pollsters all have their own bias built in. You also have state polls and national polls. (ie Carson is strong in Iowa but only in Iowa). Some polls don't account for turnout. Trump is strong in polls that account for turnout and Trump supporters appear to be the ones who will actually turn out. Hopefully voters understand the primary process. I'm not convinced they do.

I'm not calling them morons. I'm calling the people you're describing morons, which are people who absolutely will not vote for anyone else other than Trump. I happen to be a Trump supporter, but come election time, if Trump isn't the nominee, you can be damn sure I'll still be voting...and it won't be for a god damned democrat. My opinion is that Trump's supporters aren't that fatalistic. I simply think your analysis is utterly flawed. ~Alan Acta Non Verba NRA Life Member (Patron) God, Family, Guns, Country Men will fight and die to protect women... because women protect everything else. ~Andrew Klavan

OK, enough. Look, when the time comes, trust me, I'm just going to clean house and get rid of the clueless, so let's just leave all the "I'm staying home and not voting" bullshit alone for now. Trust me, when the time comes, I'll tend to it in such a way that leaves no doubt for anyone as to how little patience I'm going to have for this nonsense during this election cycle. Just wait and see. Watch what happens to those who proudly trumpet their stupidity to us. And it's going to be a pleasure pulling the trigger. Really, it will be. I don't associate with imbeciles.

I searched, but didn't find a real definitive answer to the renamed ACORN factions. I agree, we must continue to get folks out to vote, not stay home pouting because their guy or gal didn't get the nomination. It is sickening though, the amount of voter fraud that goes on, with very little effort to stop or fix it. I'd love to see Trump and Cruz together, and attempt to start fixing all that is broken. Oh stewardess, I speak jive. |
I know many don't really like Trump, even I am a reluctant fan. But I have yet to see any real evidence that anyone else on the GOP side has a real chance of beating Hillary. most voters aren't as informed as those here, and even around here we lack a unified front. we are operating from a position where Hillary is not only the presumptive Democratic nominee, but also one where the GOP faces a very steep uphill battle to beat any Democrat, much less "the first woman", or "not an old white guy", and all manner of other bullshit. Bernie makes Hillary look Conservative, Trump makes Hillary seem tolerant and moderate, and as brilliant as Cruz is - his PP position guarantees he will never win a national election as nominee/head of the ticket without the middle and women voters. and Christie, Paul, and the rest aren't strong enough to beat the Hildebeast either. not that it should be that way, but it is. too many people are too stupid, too irrational, too selfish, and however absurd it is - the GOP's reputation is generally worse than the Democrats. Carson and Fioina looked like they might be able to win it all, for a minute, but they too lack the widespread appeal, charisma, and otherwise to win the whole thing, especially against Hillary in particular... this wretched witch isn't going away easily. and anything short of our A-game will find us fucked, again. first and foremost I want anyone other than Hillary. even Bernie, as he'd never have enough support to accomplish much and he isn't the vicious tactician Hillary is, but he'll never get the nomination, and unless Biden steps in - Hillary is the enemy we face. and it's all but certain that a Bush nomination guarantees a Hillary victory, and equally all but certain anyone openly against abortion will never win the whole thing so Cruz is out. so who, then? whole else but Trump has a real chance of winning the whole thing? if your confidence lies elsewhere, in someone other than Trump, to beat Hillary (or Biden) in a nationwide election, after the last 8 years, what evidence supports your confidence? what blogs, polls, magazines and newspapers are you reading that indicate such? please share.

That's not so clear.... the polling has flip-flopped several times on the issue in recent years: http://www.gallup.com/poll/1576/abortion.aspx "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor
