He's taking money from people to make them feel good? Perfect lol, just like Tom Sawyer and the fence. Like I said, I see no problem with any contributions, but when I hear from the blind Trjmp supporters that the reason they are voting for him is that he refuses to take ANY contributions, I just have to shake my head. Trump supporters reminds me of Obama supporters in a lot of ways. I'm not talking about anybody here, but most Trump Supporters couldn't tell you a thing about what he stands for or plans to do. Well they do know that all the illegals are suddenly going to disappear and Mexico is building and paying for a wall to keep them out. Of course anybody with any common sense m owe what he is promising won't happen but common sense is not very common anymore. Now I do think that is the one area he would be good and far better than anybody we've had in office for a long time, but it's amazing how many people think what he says is what's actually going to happen. I do have hope on that front that there will be more wall and border patrol enforcement though so that would be a very good thing.

Democrats constantly pushing for more immigrants, wonder why ?

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11...-to-citizenship.html

New York advocacy groups, with the support of the Obama administration, are redoubling their efforts in one area they can control: citizenship.

They are pushing to convert as many of the country’s 8.8 million green card holders as possible into naturalized Americans.

The influence of the Latino voting bloc has added impetus to the drive. According to Latino Decisions, a polling and research firm, 80 percent of naturalized Latino citizens voted for President Obama in 2012.

This month, there were 14 citizenship events across the city compared with the usual eight

They were timed to the anniversary of President Obama’s executive actions allowing undocumented parents of American citizens to remain in the country legally, at least temporarily, and expanding the existing program for immigrants brought to the United States illegally as children. Those policies have been blocked by legal challenges.

On a recent Saturday, Naleo sponsored an event with Unite Here Local 100, a union for hospitality and food-service workers in New York and New Jersey. The New York Immigration Coalition provided legal support. A total of 96 green card holders applied to start the citizenship process

Tahisha Bourdier, 25, is a paralegal who was volunteering at the event and also applying for citizenship.

The presidential campaign was another factor in her decision. “Now I feel like it’s a must,” she said. “Every vote is a voice.”

Last week, Ms. Ocampo, 21, who immigrated from Nicaragua to Yonkers five years ago, showed up at a citizenship drive sponsored by the Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrant Rights in Inwood.

After having her photo taken at a nearby travel agency, Ms. Ocampo did a celebratory dance.

“Sandra’s going to be an American citizen,” she said in Spanish. “Donald Trump, you are not going to win.”

Karl Rove Opens His Rolodex for Ben Carson
Kevin Cirilli @kevcirilli

Republican strategist Karl Rove helped set up a meeting between top fundraisers for Ben Carson and casino mogul Steve Wynn.

Rove confirmed to Bloomberg Politics that he acted as the go-between for the Carson camp and Wynn, a sometimes business competitor of Donald Trump, the rival Carson has been batting all fall for the Republican nomination.

"I introduced them but I don't know anything further about that," said Rove, who added that he did not attend the meeting.

"Karl Rove is at the center of the GOP establishment."

The mastermind of George W. Bush's presidential victories in 2000 and 2004, Rove has not signed on with any of the presidential candidates this year, though he says he has dispensed advice to a number who have asked. Trump's camp is viewing the effort to help the billionaire real estate mogul's chief rival as an attack on the front-runner.

"Karl Rove is at the center of the GOP establishment — fearful of what real leadership in Washington D.C. will accomplish," said Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski in a statement when asked about Rove's role in facilitating the meeting between Carson and Wynn. "Mr. Trump continues to expose the all-talk, no action politicians propped up by their dark money super PACs that have failed the American people for far too long." Rove helped found one of the pioneering dark money groups, Crossroads GPS, which as a non-profit does not have to disclose the identities of its donors.

Lewandowski did not address the role of Wynn, who, according to a Fox Business Network report in September, has repaired his sometimes rocky relationship with Trump and become a campaign adviser. Wynn and Trump have a complicated history dating back to the 1990s, where the two businessmen battled in the casino real estate market.

Michael Weaver, a spokesman for Wynn, said in an e-mail that he so far has not been able to confirm the meeting with his boss. Weaver added that Wynn "is not an advisor to Mr. Trump; Mr. Wynn speaks occasionally and informally with many candidates."

In June, according to records on file at the Federal Election Commission, Wynn donated $25,000 to America Leads, a super political action committee (one that can take contributions in unlimited amounts) that backs New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's presidential bid. Wynn and his wife, Andrea, also donated $5,000 apiece to Christie's traditional political action committee, Leadership Matters for America. Meanwhile, Wynn's ex-wife, Elaine Wynn, has made several contributions, totaling more than $11,500, to Right to Rise, a super-PAC backing former Florida Governor Jeb Bush for president.

On Bloomberg Politics With All Due Respect earlier this week, Rove listed Bush, Christie and Marco Rubio as the three candidates most likely to knock Trump off when "the other 70 to 75 percent of the party begins to coalesce behind somebody." The reference is to Trump's polling numbers. Though consistently leading the Republican pack since the summer, Trump has never been able to get much past the 30 percent mark in the polls tracked by Real Clear Politics.

Rove's role in setting up the meeting between Wynn and Carson advisers raised some eyebrows within Carson's political orbit, with some advisers questioning Rove's intentions, said one source familiar with the meeting and the campaign.

The source said they were skeptical that Rove was only acting to inflate Carson in an effort to ultimately take out Trump. "Karl Rove isn't just going just to help Ben Carson out of the goodness of his heart," the source said. Terry Giles, a Texas lawyer who was one of the Carson advisers at the meeting, is no longer formally associated with Carson's campaign or a pro-Carson super PAC.

News of Rove's work as a go-between for Carson comes amid reports that other Republican activists are trying to stop Trump.

Former New Hampshire Republican Party Chairman Fergus Cullen unsuccessfully challenged Trump's eligibility to participate in the state's first-in-the-nation primary. "Everyone benefits from his demise but everyone wants someone else to do it," Cullen lamented, saying the front-runner could damage Republicans among minorities and women, potentially for many years.

Liz Mair, the former Republican National Committee online communications director, has also set up a conduit for anonymous anti-Trump donations, Trump Card LLC. "The sooner action is taken against Trump, the better," she said in an e-mail to Bloomberg Politics that expressed some frustration that the party isn't doing more to take on the front-runner. "We're also not party bigwig people and aren't as establishment as some of the folks making the calculation that we dare not offend Trump."

She said she and her allies "are getting sick and tired of a big government guy whose only "conservative" attributes are apparently saying and thinking things that better suit an old school Southern Democrat than a Republican without minorities."

Three days after WSJ first reported about Mair's efforts, a Trump tweet drew speculation that he was once again considering a third party run, despite signing a pledge that he would not.

Republican strategist Ron Bonjean said that it's risky for outside groups like Mair's to attack Trump because it could give the perception that the establishment is trying to take him out politically — optics that have only strengthened Trump's political hand. Bonjean had more praise for the efforts of the super-PAC supporting Ohio Governor John Kasich, which has been airing anti-Trump ads.

"If other presidential campaign super PACs decide to attack Trump and large donors fund or are writing big checks to make that happen it's much more legitimate than a direct anti-Trump campaign," Bonjean said. "It's standard operating procedure for rival candidates to conduct attacks against each other. But a direct anti-Trump effort? It can provide Trump with a leg to stand on to say he's being treated unfairly."

Rubio is a putz and it really seems like it's Trump and Cruz vs everyone else.

Ted Cruz Escalates Attacks on Rubio - NBC News
by Vaughn Hillyard

LAMONI, IOWA - Ted Cruz escalated tensions with Marco Rubio over the weekend as both presidential candidates continue to rise in recent polls, suggesting his Republican rival "is attempting to mislead voters" with "false" attacks.

"I think Senator Rubio's campaign is very, very dismayed at conservatives coming together behind our campaign and is attempting to mislead voters in an effort to slow that down," the Texas senator said before a campaign town hall in Lamoni, Iowa, on Saturday.

Cruz's response came after a pro-Rubio super PAC released an ad last week attacking Cruz for voting to weaken national security and limit the government's ability to fight terrorists. The vote referenced is Cruz's support of the USA Freedom Act, which ended the U.S. government's bulk collection of phone metadata on Sunday.

The sparring between the freshman senators heightened on Saturday morning when Cruz's campaign released an advertisement that featured U.S. Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK) calling the ad "despicable" for its depiction of Cruz as voting to weaken national security.

"That's about as ridiculous a proposition as anyone can imagine," Cruz said on Saturday, arguing his vote defended the privacy of Americans.

Cruz pushed back and said Rubio is trying to divert the campaign conversation away from immigration.

"Senator Rubio's campaign has been desperate to change the topic from his longtime partnership and collaboration with President Obama and Chuck Schumer in pushing a massive amnesty plan," Cruz added.

Cruz began highlighting Rubio's backing of a Senate-backed comprehensive immigration bill that would have opened up an eventual path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants in the country — what Cruz has called a "massive amnesty plan."

The personal, back-and-forth attacks between Cruz and Rubio increased two weeks ago when Rubio's campaign fired back, saying Ted Cruz supported an amendment in 2013 that would have opened up a path to legal status for undocumented immigrants.

Last week in Harlan, Iowa, when asked about the proposition of a path to legal status, Cruz said it could eventually be on the table. He told reporters, "We can have that conversation with the American people once we've secured the border."

Cruz and Rubio are both polling in the top four nationally, and as the campaigns anticipate the waffling of Ben Carson and Donald Trump's supporters, both candidates see an opportunity to garner their former backers.

On Saturday, Cruz also refused to "throw rocks" at Donald Trump over any of his recent controversial comments. "I'm not going to play the role of theater critic, giving a running commentary on anything and everything Donald Trumps says or any other candidate," Cruz said. "I'm not interested in throwing rocks at the other candidates," he added. "I like Donald Trump - I'm glad he's running. I think he has energized and excited a lot of people."

Cruz continues his three-day, 14-stop trip through Iowa on Sunday and Monday.

Trump's reply to a reporter at a meeting this week.

"When asked by a reporter if he wanted to comment about BLM, Trump dismissed: “Black lives are very important, white lives are very important, and to me all lives are very important.”

This is what every president should say. The concern about rhe people should not be exclusive, and only entered around one group.

This RINO obviously thinks he's above Ronald Reagan's Eleventh Commandment.
From Lindsey Graham:

“It would be an utter, complete and total disaster. If you’re a xenophobic, race-baiting, religious bigot, you’re going to have a hard time being president of the United States, and you’re going to do irreparable damage to the party… If they [the GOP] don’t push back, they’ll have nobody to blame but themselves.”

Trump is like Obi Wan. If you strike him down, he becomes stronger. The more the establishment RINO weasels attack him and declare his candidacy to be the end of the GOP, the more appealing he becomes because his candidacy is solely based on being everything the establishment is not.

It's just amazing that the establishment would rather attack him than look at his soaring popularity and learn from it. "Gee, either this guy is the perfect Republican or people are really really fed up with us for the way we've been handling things. Maybe we should listen to the voters and maybe try to actually represent the people who put us in office......Nah, fuck 'em."

After viewing the Ethonol thread......I was wondering what Trump had to say......Not happy at all in what I'm reading on the Internet!

FORT DODGE, IOWA – Billionaire presidential candidate Donald Trump met with leaders of POET, an ethanol company here in Iowa, and some of the co-chairs of the American Renewable Fuels group to talk about the importance of ethanol.

The event was closed to the press, but they were expected to discuss the importance of the Renewable Fuel Standard policy and the economic success of the company.

After the meeting, Trump rallied with supporters here in Fort Dodge and signaled his political support for the process as he appeared on stage.

“You know what? he said. “I went out to see some of the folks on the ethanol. Good stuff and great people, put a lot of people to work out here. I just want to thank them, they’re doing an amazing job.”

It was his only mention of ethanol during his over 90 minute speech, which touched on the subjects of illegal immigration, foreign policy, the economy, and the state of the media.

He also signaled his love for the state of Iowa.

“I may just buy a farm and move here. I like it. I love it!” he said as he was wrapping up his speech.

After the rally, one attendee shouted out to Trump as he was signing posters for supporters: “Mr. Trump, What do you think about ethanol?”

“I love it, I’m for it,” Trump said simply before exiting the stage.

Ted Cruz Is Anti-Ethanol-Mandate, but Iowans Like Him Anyway

Cruz, fearless attack dog for ending the ethanol mandate in the U.S. gasoline supply, stayed true to his principles -- yes, even while campaigning in the belly of beast, in the middle of the Hawkeye State, corn-based ethanol capitol of the world.

And there it was, just hours after the Obama administration released its (failed) plans to boost the amount of corn-based ethanol in gasoline.

“God has blessed America with abundant natural resources and we ought to be producing everything … but it shouldn’t be Washington picking winners and losers,” Cruz said Monday during a town hall stop in Bettendorf, Iowa. The story is reported in the Quad City Times.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Iowans who vote to keep the ethanol scam happening (by supporting the RFS or any Corn subsidies) are as bad as welfare recipients voting themselves more benefits as far as I'm concerned. I don't give a shit how Americana these people believe they are, they want to continue sucking on Uncle Sugar's teat just the same, and it needs to stop, not the least of which because Ethanol gas sucks, Gov't subsidies suck, and are anything but conservative.
