Like to see Cruz running the Senate, I think he's very effective there, if he's not VP.

Frankly I'm not sure you'd want "the donald" as your vp, he'd always be eyeing your job....

Eh, that's one thing about Cruz. With the Senate as it's currently composed, he really doesn't have a lot of pull there and doesn't seem likely to develop any anytime soon. Of course that could certainly change after the upcoming elections.

I'm with you on Trump and Cruz. Rubio is a weasel, the worst of slick politicians.

the only exception that I can think of would be if by some crazy long shot or Primary tomfoolery the GOP nominates Bush, then mayyyybe a 3rd Party run would make sense (in Trump's mind, and perhaps be excusable enough in the mind of some supporters).

Hopefully it'll be Trump/Cruz and avoid any kooky scenarios. its not Trump I'm worried about as we near the election, I'm much more concerned with the GOP and Establishment and the Roves of the world who have ample incentives to screw with things.

I'd like to think Trump cares about the country enough to keep his commitment not to run as a third party, but I don't trust him to honor that. Besides, he left himself an out. He said he wouldn't run IF the they treated him fairly. Well politics ain't fair, just look at how Trump was the first to start attacking Carson and calling him a liar when Carson started getting close, and the GOP will never be fair to Trump, or Cruz as far as that goes. Personally I don't trust Trump any farther than I could throw him. I keep trying to like and trust him, i just can't. There are things I like about him, but as a whole I just can't get there.

Despite what I said in the post just above, Trump would still be my number two pick behind Cruz. Rubio is just a snake in the grass and as he furthers his career I see him becoming one of the biggest RINOs up there.

What commitment? What do you want from a candidate? The RNC is just as dirty as the DNC and Trump knows this. That's why he gave himself escape clauses. Carson is disposable. He should be given he doesn't know the foreign players and he can't even get a map of the 50 states right.

Trump is not being treated fairly. "Eight Trump Lies" - sure. They weren't even lies and no mention of the hundreds of Hillary lies. The ass hole from Ohio knows he is out but will dump the rest of his funds into a campaign to fuck Trump. A campaign set up by some another ass hole from the RNC. Wonder what happens when the Bushwhacker officially punches out. Another fuck Trump campaign?

The only hope for the GOP to beat Hillary is Trump. None of the others stand a chance.

Please don't tell me you trust any of them. They are politicians and they say what they need to say to get elected. Period. You can certainly like the things one of them says more than another but in the final analysis.....

Donald Trump cares about Donald Trump.

I appreciate hi being in the race, saying the things no one else could, and getting people fired up. That is his use, that is his role to play.

That role will fade soon... and I hope he is smart enough to take his popularity, and his cash, to the bank and bow out.

The polling is not even close. Her faithful don't care what she will do or has done. Talking heads won't ask her hard questions. Like him or hate him, Trump is the only one who can take her on. And she will die of old age before she sees a prison cell.

First off, take the polls with a grain of salt, but since you mentioned it, the polls show Trump doing the worst against Hillary than any other Republican running so not sure why you bring that up. A lot of polls show all of the top 4 candidates beating Hillary EXCEPT for Trump. Besides, that kind of thinking is what gave us McCain and Romney.

Trump is a shrewd, smart man. Does anyone believe that he will settle for second place (VP) after spending this much of his own money? He is in it to win as that is also his nature in business. He may be kind of one track regarding his platform right now, but being intelligent he will surround himself with a cabinet filled with people that are as capable as himself in the areas in which he is not knowledgeable. Just take a look at his business organization to get a glimpse of this. He hires the best of the best in each area of expertise and listens to their advice.

Oh thanks for the laugh Para.

Best thing that has happed is Trump running. Imagine where we would be right now without him in the race.

They would have killed off Cruz and anointed Bush by now.

It's true, and imagine where the race would be if that disgusting crook and pathological liar Hillary Clinton was not besieged by chickens coming home to roost.

IMHO, Trump has a certain percentage of voters who will vote for him no matter what he says or does. They will NOT vote for any other Republican or Democrat. Since most of these Trump voters are from the RNC side of the house, no other current running RNC Republican can win against Hillary since they wont get Trump's voters. This means that for all the people that say "I'm glad he was in but I wish he'd go away" simply means that if you don't go for Trump, you are going to get Hillary, because the other RNC Republicans aren't likely going to get Trump's supporters nor a significant percentage of Carson's.

There are far too many completely dissatisfied with the typical RNC candidates. I like Cruz, but he isn't going to get near enough of Trump's or Carson's voters to beat Hillary. Rubio has even less chance than Cruz of getting a decent percentage of the same Trump or Carson voters. Between Trump or Carson, it's smart asshole CEO vs Mr nice guy, and nice guys always finish last in the real world. Bush and the rest are now non-players (no matter what Jeb thinks).

Trump was smart to get and keep a certain percentage of rabid wont-go-anywhere-else supporters. He is going to make the RNC support him, or make them lose by taking his supporters elsewhere and his threat is a lot stronger than it was when he made it 6 months ago since it's an even larger block of voters than then. The anti-Trumps on the Republican side get two choices. Lose to Hillary with their non-Trump favorite, or "possibly" win against Hillary with Trump as the Republicans sure as shit aint going to win against Hillary without Trump's votes. He is playing the Ross Perot game, but with a SIGNIFICANTLY stronger hand, skill, and determination. He's not going to flinch against the RNC and they know how badly they suffered from Ross Perot, who didn't have a tenth of Trump's cult-of-personality.
