Funny you should mention that. My brother called a few minutes ago and said he's thinking about Henry's .45-70. Trump is 70 years old and will be the 45th president. Henry is advertising this.

Now that's some thought-out marketing. Anything in .45-70 does seem commemorative.

I plan on buying a Henry 45/70 for the same reason.

New York Times Reporting Sheriff David Clarke Being Vetted For Secretary Of Homeland Security

What do y'all think of this? From what I've seen from his interviews on Hannity, the guy is tough on liberals, illegals, and hates Black Lives Matter and is not afraid to voice his opinion in a non-politically correct manner. I would have preferred that Sheriff Joe Arpaio would have been head of Homeland Security but in reality, I think he's to old at 84 to go a full 4 years, but I could be wrong. This Clarke fellow seems to have the same ideology as Arpaio though.

I think Clark would be a great choice. He seems frustrated at the feds preventing the law from being enforced, has no patience for the snowflakes or anyone else that breaks existing law. He's plain spoken and firmly on the side of law and order.

some things the DEMs say

Senator McCaskill (D):

“I’m proud of the fact that we’re a party of diversity and inclusivity, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be talking to everyone. And I feel like we’ve neglected to do that,”

is it just me ?

another McCaskill about Trump:

“Pay close attention. Make sure that he delivers on the promises he’s made,”

okey doke

Senator Schatz (D): “People agree with us but didn’t believe in us,”

Senator Manchin (D) of WV hopes that being in the room with Democratic leaders who are guiding an increasingly liberal party will be a boon for his reelection prospects.

U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken of the District of Oregon (appointed by Bill Clinton):

the judge said that all she needed to do was “determine what emissions level would be sufficient to” end global warming, and then order everyone is this country to change their fossil fuel consumption accordingly.

This was is response to a suit filed by 21 young people (ages 9 through 20) against Barack Obama, various federal agencies, and the fossil fuel industry itself because the United States’ current environmental policy infringes their fundamental rights to a natural environment that is not impacted by manmade global warming,

For your entertainment, here is a recent post from a FB acquaintance. She is just a bit full of herself. LOL.

'Notes from the underground: As I plunge into another day of helping men and women work through combat and sexual trauma, I've got to pause and get my head right. You can imagine what this election message has done for survivors of military rape and African American men who gave everything in Vietnam. It is not about me and I do not insert my political opinions into a session. Perhaps you can imagine how intense and deeply painful this awakening or re-confirmation has been for those who have been shoved to the fringes their whole lives? This week I start each morning playing the new Tribe Called Quest in my office to get inspiration to help people see, heal and stand up.
After communication with family last night, I've taken on some new perspective. (See, we can change too.) My new thinking is that the majority of Republicans cannot see the racism in themselves as they are not generally introspective people. They are not wired that way. Concrete thinkers. Good, Bad, Right, Wrong, Fear, Punishment. They are working from a black and white, rigid framework. Many are just doing as they have always done, as their families have taught them. It is truly institutional racism. The fact that you are liberal means that you are inclusive, look at the big picture, more conceptual, see the grey, taught to have a generous spirit that expands beyond your small family, you are creative and question the systems around you. People can learn and change. I have seen conservatives change and adopt a healthy regard for all people, not just their special interests. We need to learn how to educate and inspire Republicans in very concrete terms. When we talk and rage about racism and sexism, because it seems so obvious to us, they keep moving because they don't see it in themselves and don't even know that they are being addressed. We've got to go at this another way. I'm still working on that.'

Keep working, sweetheart.

They are afraid because their standard method of attack (accusing all who disagree with them of racism) is losing its impact. And they truly believe they are the smartest people in the room.

I am a legal immigrant to this great country. Since your FB friend talked about inclusiveness, tell her to picture this:

You wait in line for 8 hours at the local Best Buy Black Friday event (really Thursday but whatever), and just when Best Buy opens at 4am, a bunch of cars pull up to the curbside and a mass of people get out and promptly cut in line, ignoring calls and yells to get in the back of the (now very long) line.

Would she feels inclusive towards those line cutters?

This is exactly how I feel about illegal immigrants.

This rookie politician Trump is getting very annoying. Who does he think he is ?

Talking w Ryan and McConnell.

Schumer wants to talk w him because they may have some common goals

Talking w Cruz

To meet this weekend w Mitt Romney to discuss "governing moving forward" and potentially a role for Romney in Trump's Cabinet,

The meeting is the latest in a series of Trump's conversations and encounters with Republicans who did not support his candidacy in an effort to reunite the GOP following a divisive election that fractured party leaders past the Republican primary and into the general election.

Trump is meeting Thursday with more than a half-dozen potential candidates for top administration posts, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.

Trump has announced RNC chairman Reince Priebus as White House chief of staff and his campaign CEO Steve Bannon as chief strategist and senior counselor.

Trump will also meet with Nikki Haley, the South Carolina governor who was deeply critical of Trump during the Republican primary, who is under consideration for the secretary of state post and other cabinet positions

The President-elect will also meet with a pair of Fortune 500 CEOs, Oracle's Safra Catz and FedEx's Fred Smith, as well as Cincinnati Mayor Ken Blackwell and Texas Rep. Jeb Hensarling, who is under consideration to helm the Treasury Department.

Pence tells congress to “buckle up,” and get ready

This Trump guy must think he is like some super chief executive or something. Smile
