Another guy that deserves to be in prison, James Clapper.
A day after the FBI agent testified under oath at the Hunter Biden trial that the laptop being introduced (yes, that laptop again) had zero implanted info.
It was all Hunter's work, says out FBI, and Clapper doubled down on his pre-election statement that it was Russian disinformation.

I am curious if there is some legal prohibition against former government officials using that status to make false statements or to try to interfere in an election?

All those 51 people used their credentials as former government officials to lend credence to the claim (which was known false already by the FBI) that the laptop was Russian disinformation. Certainly that is attempting to interfere in an election. If it is illegal, they need to be prosecuted.

QUESTION TO PONDER
Who stood a better chance of receiving a fair trial:
Donald Trump in New York City
or
Tom Robinson in To Kill A Mocking Bird?

Note - Both are based on works of fiction.

God Bless and Protect the Once and Future President, Donald John Trump.

He would be down the list a ways for me.
He is a good man for sure.
But DJT needs someone more aggressive and assertive imho.
He needs someone that will make sure people know what needs to be done when called upon and will take no prisoners.
Carson is not that kind of personality.

On the plus side he would make Harris look like the absolute air head ding a ling she is.

I hope Mulvaney is like everyone one else. Just guessing.

Dr. Carson would be a fine choice. Even keeled, not prone vitioluc lashing out, very smart and when he was HHS Secretary during the Trump admin, he didn't make headlines and quietly did his job.

For awhile, over a year, the Trump camp has stated that "loyalty" is the primary factor in deciding members of his team, including VP. And I agree 100%, since betrayal has been perhaps the top problem in the Trump White House. Ben Carson is a man who will not fuck over Trump. He is friends with Trump, been in his inner circle for years, and has never once strayed from his trust and loyalty for the man. I consider him the top choice over the other possibilities.

Yes. Loyalty.
And... he doesn't have Presidential ambitions of his own, which would begin right after Trump's reelection. It's an important point Mulvaney makes:

Mulvaney continued, “The one element I think Ben Carson has that none of the other six people on the list have is I don’t think Ben Carson wants to be president; I don’t think he wants to run for president.”

“The 2028 election starts the next day after the 2024 election. I don’t think Donald Trump wants anybody in that White House running for President on day one of his second term. That’s why I keep coming back again to Ben Carson. They know each other, they like each other, he’s trustworthy, he’s loyal,” added Mulvaney.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

While Ben Carson is an outstanding man, I don’t think he’s dynamic enough when it comes to politics. He’s got very little political clout.

Part of the reason for that is the media going out of its way to ignore hyper-smart black conservatives.

Trump could nominate a box of hair and it would be able to hold its own against Harris and maybe even win a debate or two.

Yeah on this one I don’t really think whoever gets the VP nod will add or take away votes from Trump.
We just need a solid person in there and I think Carson would fit the bill.

But we’re also talking Trump here so we really will have no clue who it might be until he decides to announce it.

An awesome rally even though the telepromters went down, which actually made it even better, IMO. We want to hear our candidates talk, not read from teleprompters or cue cards.

Apparently Kameltoe Harris hasn't read the Constitution (no surprise there)! She thinks Trump "should be disqualified" because of his convictions in court.

Harris wants Trump disqualified...

I'm not at all exited at the prospect of Carson being named VP. He's a good guy, we all know that, but he's just not the type of person that today's politics calls for. I'm afraid the left would steamroll him on a regular basis. He's just too reserved and laid back for what we need now.
