Absolutely. Yes. Those who still have FB accounts and are conservative will move in a hot minute to use his social media. I saw a bunch of people create accounts on parler, but that turned into a disappointment.

All that may be, but I cannot abandon FB because the reasons I am there are to connect with distant relatives (who probably won't change) and several special interest Groups that also probably won't change. FB is not a political venue for me--just a way to communicate with distant friends, relatives, and confreres. If they are on FB, I will be, too.

^^^None of these friends, relatives, confreres are capable of communicating in any manner or fashion other than via facebook? None are willing to consider alternatives? Had any discussions with anyone on this subject?

Is everyone waiting for someone else to say it out loud? There's an elephant in the room...Facebook is NOT your friend, and YOU are the product!

People need to take the initiative...Lead, Follow, or get out of the way!

If NOBODY is willing to change, consider change and/or seek change, then NOTHING will change... Roll Eyes

It is not a matter of "none", but rather of "some". I'm sure that some are willing to use other means, and some do. The problem is that there are people and Groups I wish to communicate with who are on FB and probably will not consider moving. As long as there are "any" I will maintain a FB presence.

I first got into computers about 2004 or 5. I have a friend who is very computer knowledgeable I asked him about joining Facebook. This is part of an Email he sent me=

Okay, about Facebook. At top level what they write about it is probably accurate. The reality is that a lot of people really do interact on it. It is an open question (in my mind) whether these are people we care about, but there are indeed numbers. I understand why it would be tempting for an organizer to innocently decided to use it for "what it is good for."

There is utterly no sense that anything anyone ever does ever is private on FB. Period, full stop. The internet is forever, and the data mining someone agrees to under FB's terms of service is pretty aggressive. The company business model is based on knowing how to connect an identity with other people, other activities, other groups and so on. A spoof video about this=

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juQcZO_WnsI

and it is not far off. You and I are both on a variety of lists already, and at some point it is appropriate for us to stand up to be counted. That said, a lot of groups, agencies and companies will make determinations about us that we won't even know about based only on connectivity established via things like Facebook. They make determinations based on the pages you visit, the ads you might click on, the people in your circle of friends. These are data about you that other people use to paint their image of who you are. Almost all of this will be benign. They will be that way until they are not. It is tough to stay disconnected from such things too. It isn't sufficient to just not use the tools or site, rather, we need to not interact with people who in turn talk about us, post photos of us and more. Everyone kind of needs to keep a tight asshole for any kind of privacy.

There are ways to reduce the effects of data mining done by these companies, but it isn't the easiest set of tools to use. It is not so simple as just not using your real name or changing an email address. These companies do a spectacular job of joining the data between multiple accounts. I marvel at it from a technical point of view, but am horrified by its social effects.

I have no one in my life that I would give up so much of my privacy in order to talk too. If the only way I can connect with someone is on Facebook, than I don't need or want to connect with them.

In the third hour of the show, Larry O'Connor and Julie Gunlock talked to legal analyst Joe diGenova about the latest revelations about the Biden family receiving $31 million from Chinese officials, and Virginia Supreme Court taking up the mask debate next week. They also talked to Virginia mom Elicia Brand who is helping the families of sexual assault victims in Northern Virginia schools.

They also chatted about a rumor that former Governor Terry McAuliffe used the pandemic to avoid attending the inauguration.

As a Wisconsin resident, I'd like to ask for everyones help. In the past, Representative Vos has publicly stated that they can't legally decertify the electoral votes given to biden. He is also slowing the investigation of the Racine County Sheriff regarding the illegal voting in nursing homes. Here is the phone number to the state capital 800-362-9472

Montgomery County's (where Conroe is located) Judge, Mark Keough, posted this today on his FB page:

The biggest event in our county’s history is over. This event was kicked off 2 weeks ago today as we were notified that the Trump team wanted to do a rally in Montgomery County. Immediately our county staff began to coordinate with event planners and the flawless execution of all those plans was on full display last night.
Crowd size was estimated at 58,000 but yet to be confirmed. We had zero incidents and only a few rally goers who needed medical attention. Everyone had a great time and I’m still receiving calls from all around Texas congratulating our first responders and staff for their hard work.
I was honored to kick off the event with prayer and welcome so many to our fine county.
There is a lot of planning that goes into welcoming a president to your county. Several dignitaries and elected officials also joining adds to the layers of planning and coordination. Having multiple events with these same people on different parts of the county and dealing with the stresses of motorcades and traffic. So please help me thank all those who helped make this event a success!

NOTHING. It becomes just another footnoted asterisk to be argued over by historians. A lot like what happens when Obama’s real birth certificate shows up in 100 years; after-the-fact.

Newly released State memos undercut Democrats' Ukraine impeachment story

Just months before Joe Biden forced his firing, Ukraine's chief prosecutor was told by U.S. State Department officials that they were "impressed" with his anti-corruption plan and fully supportive of his work, according to newly released memos that cast doubt on a key Democrat impeachment narrative.

During former President Donald Trump's first impeachment trial two years ago, House Democrats alleged that Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin was fired in March 2016 because State officials were widely displeased with his anti-corruption efforts and not because Shokin's office was investigating the Ukrainian gas firm that had given then-Vice President Biden's son Hunter a lucrative job.

But the memos obtained by Just the News and the Southeastern Legal Foundation under a Freedom of Information Act request show senior State Department officials — including then-Secretary of State John Kerry — were sending the opposite message to Shokin the summer before his firing.

"We have been impressed with the ambitious reform and anti-corruption agenda of your government," then-Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland personally wrote Shokin in an official letter dated June 9, 2015 that was delivered to the prosecutor two days later by then-U.S. Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt.

Nuland, now President Biden's undersecretary of state, wrote that "Secretary Kerry asked me to reply on his behalf" to let Shokin know he enjoyed the full support of the United States as he set out to fight endemic corruption in the former Soviet republic.

"The ongoing reform of your office, law enforcement, and the judiciary will enable you to investigate and prosecute corruption and other crimes in an effective, fair, and transparent manner," Nuland added. "The United States fully supports your government's efforts to fight corruption and other crimes in an effective, fair and transparent manner."

The letter stands out, according to Republican congressional investigators and Trump's former impeachment defense lawyers, because it was sent just six months before Joe Biden began his pressure campaign to oust Shokin in December 2015 and appears to conflict with testimony given to Congress.

They also told Just the News they have no record the memo was produced to Trump's impeachment defense team or to a Senate investigation that concluded the Bidens' business dealings in Ukraine created a conflict of interest that undercut U.S. anti-corruption efforts.

"We did not receive this. We should have received it. President Trump's defense attorneys also should have received it," Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis.

Nuland's memo was sent about six months before The New York Times in December 2015 reported that Hunter Biden's role as a board member and consultant to Burisma Holdings "undermined" U.S. anti-corruption efforts in Ukraine because Shokin's office had an ongoing corruption investigation into that Ukraine gas company.
