I keep hearing about the number of investigations, and how quickly the FBI was to track these capitol miscreants down to issue them their trespassing tickets. But I never heard about the number of investigations or those that they tracked down to interview regarding the election issues. Anybody know that data? | |||

Yeah. I have argued that with friends who don't seem to get that there is nothing the rioters could have done to overthrow the government so it was not a coup attempt. Trump wasn't there, Biden wasn't there, Harris wasn't there, the Cabinet wasn't there, and SCOTUS wasn't there. And even if some rioters did intend harm to any Congressman or Senator (two people seen with zip tie handcuffs), there is a line of succession for every position, or a process to select a replacement. Just more anti-Trump hyperbole. No one person or group of people is the U.S. Government, and the military is not going to side with rioters. Remember that virtually every coup in foreign governments occurs because the opposition WITH THE BACKING OF THE MILITARY seizes power, or because REBEL FORCES OVERTHROW THE MILITARY leaving no defense for the current government who usually flee if they are not captured. REPs lost two senate seats that will come up again soon for another election As best I understand it, The seat now held by DEM Warnock in GA will be up for election again in 2022 The seat now held by DEM Mark Kelly in Arizona will be up for election again in 2022 These spots are not currently 6 year positions because the prior REP senators did not complete a full term. (McCain in Arizona, Isakson in Georgia) If REPs can get their act together, it is possible for them to take the House and Senate in the 2022 election. | |||

The establishment (D's and R's) are taking the stance of "Strike while the iron's hot" and trying to destroy Trump as much as they can while emotions are high. They know they have a very small window to work with. Personally... I think the left is trying to do everything they can to incite violence. Impeaching Trump when there's no chance of any trial ever happening, spreading rumors and communications about armed protests, putting out videos apparently from Trump telling the world at the end is here and everybody's going to be arrested and it's all going to be over and he's going to remain president. Just tonwhip people up. It's like they want violence to justify a harsh reaction.
