Supreme Court Fails to Immediately Act on Trump Campaign’s Request to Expedite Pennsylvania Appeal

The Supreme Court on Wednesday docketed an appeal filed by President Donald Trump’s campaign that seeks to reverse cases by a state court but did not immediately act on the campaign’s request to expedite the case.

Instead, the top court’s docket shows a Jan. 22, 2021. deadline—two days after the presidential inauguration day—for when the state is required to respond to the request for appeal.

The campaign filed the suit on Monday challenging three Pennsylvania Supreme Court rulings that “illegally changed” the mail-in ballot laws “immediately before and after the 2020 presidential election,” the legal team said.

The team argued that those court decisions were issued in violation of Article II of the Constitution and the U.S. Supreme Court ruling, Bush v. Gore, that settled a recount dispute from Florida in 2000.

Along with the petition for a writ of certiorari, the legal team filed a request to the court to expedite the case. That request asked the nation’s top court to order Pennsylvania officials to respond by noon on Wednesday—a deadline that has now passed.

“If this matter is not timely resolved, not only Petitioner, but the Nation as a whole may suffer injury from the resulting confusion,” the campaign wrote

Bill Barr is now gone from DoJ

High level officials within the Justice Department are in "ongoing discussions" on whether to appoint a special counsel to take over the investigation into Hunter Biden, with some believing it is "warranted," two sources familiar told Fox News Wednesday.

Attorney General Bill Barr, who resigned from his post last week and had his last day at the Justice Department Wednesday, said earlier this week that he had "not seen a reason" to appoint a special counsel to probe President-elect Joe Biden’s son, who is under federal investigation for his "tax affairs."

But one source familiar told Fox News on Wednesday that it is an "open discussion."

"It is an ongoing discussion," the source told Fox News. "No decisions have been made either way."

Another source told Fox News that some high level DOJ officials believe a special counsel is "warranted," and cited the special counsel statute.

"It was passed to deal with a potential conflict of interest of the attorney general or the president of the United States," the source told Fox News. "A president-elect coming in, where his appointed attorneys will be investigating his son? That’s textbook conflict ."

Yep, Kyle is being prosecuted by the State of Wisconsin, not a Federal Charge.

The president may not pardon persons convicted for or accused of violating state or local laws.

I caught just part of it on OAN the other night, but I thought that Durham had been appointed as a special counsel. Maybe that was only for the Russian hoax?

You already know why. Barr finally showed himself to be just another swamp rat with his "there was no election fraud widespread enough to alter the outcome of the election". So, no investigation into Hunter Biden should come as no shock to anyone.

The original Durham bogus "investigation" into the Russia collusion hoax was simply to fool all of us into thinking he had the President's back. Look at all the high level criminals in the government, and what did we get? A low level FBI lawyer being indicted. Appointing Durham as special counsel now is utterly meaningless. It will be watered down and swept under the rug, unless Trump has his second term.
