Strange. Just trying to get into this judge's head, he's an amazing combination of corruption and incompetence; is it possible he fears being exposed and prosecuted, and thinks holding onto this case for the next 4 years is his "Trump" card?

More like he doesn't want to be sanctioned and disbarred for misconduct. The case will certainly be set aside during appeal and that is enough for a judge to look bad. Not sure if he's elected or appointed.

When he's done abolishing the Department of Education, Trump needs to abolish Homeland Security. There is no need for yet another layer of bureaucracy, and it would go a long way in reducing the deficit.

After Donald Trump’s Victory, Liz Cheney Calls For Citizens To “Do Everything We Can To Support And Defend Our Constitution”
By Ted Johnson

Ted Johnson
Political Editor

Liz Cheney said that the democratic system “functioned last night” as Donald Trump was elected to a new term in the White House, but said that it would be up to citizens, courts, the press and those in government to be the “guardrails of democracy.”

Cheney endorsed Kamala Harris in the presidential race, voting for a Democrat for the first time. Her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, also endorsed Harris.

Cheney wrote on X, “Our nation’s democratic system functioned last night and we have a new President-elect. All Americans are bound, whether we like the outcome or not, to accept the results of our elections. We now have a special responsibility, as citizens of the greatest nation on earth, to do everything we can to support and defend our Constitution, preserve the rule of law, and ensure that our institutions hold over these coming four years. Citizens across this country, our courts, members of the press and those serving in our federal, state and local governments must now be the guardrails of democracy.”

Trump had called for Cheney to face a military tribunal, after she served as vice chair of the January 6th Committee.

Her shelf life, which was hanging on a thread by the Dems, has expired. Same with her father. They along with Mittens can start a sewing circle and bitch among themselves about Trump.

The way I read the article, it sounds like she and the article author are implying that it is up to the individual to defend the Constituion since the Democrats failed to be elected.

Below is probably "preaching to the choir" for most members here, but I'm writing it for visitors who don't appreciate the distinctions...
Defending the Constitution should be the goal of every citizen regardless of which party is in control.
We are a Representitive Republic, NOT a Democracy as they see it.
They LOVE big gov't and control. So much so that they try to alter the Constitutional limits on the gov't to get their way.

Most Republicans tend to be "originalists" seeing the Constitution as a founding document that needs very few changes. Done via amendments, NOT via courts.

^^^^ I get it but in a way I am enjoying Trump making his picks and you just have to know that heads are spinning. He isn’t even in office yet but he is getting his ducks in a row like never before.
It will allow him to hit the ground running.

My coworkers are astonished at how fast he is moving. Also, how his win is having an international impact only a week after the election..
