Got my flags. Accidentally ordered a 2’x3’ 48 star flag, wanted a 3’x5’, so it goes back. I know it’s against flag code to fly a flag that’s started to tatter, but tomorrow, my retired 50 star flag will come out of retirement one last time to be draped out one of the twin front windows above the garage alongside my Betsy Ross flag.

Good looking shirt

I feel exactly the same way as you do.

I've never bought Nike products before, but crap like this latest episode, ( along with previous ones ) just cinches that.

Nine Line will be coming out with a new shirt that has something to say about this BS. Wink

Is there even a micron of truth to him saying white supremacists fly the Betsy Ross flag?

Interesting caller on CSPAN this a.m., he made some good points.

The Africans were already slaves before they got here. They were here 150 years before we became a country, we had no control of policy. Even at that, five states had outlawed slavery, including Pennsylvania, where Betsy Ross was from.

Well hell. Can't let the truth get in the way of a good anti-American rant now can we?

Something inherently wrong when ONE anti-American asshole somehow has the power to cause a major corporation to pull a product.

But, I seem to recall that the so-called leadership at that outfit has a history of anti-USA attitudes and actions.

Does that idiot Kolin realize that quite a good number of African-Americans fought under that very flag in the revolution?

Hell, the African-American killed along the whites in the Boston Massacre is equally revered as the white brothers of liberty that fell with him.

Kolin once again proves Einstein's - 'The vastness of space is only exceeded by the vastness of human stupidity.' (if Einstein really every said it)

It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.

Keep the politics out of sports and 'entertainment'. Whiners can do that on their own time.

If people would mind their own damn business this country would be better off. I owe no one an explanation or an apology for my personal opinion.

I always thought you guys "boycotted" the wrong way. --- Buy some expensive Nikes at Zappos ... wait a few days, call customer service and tell them that you're returning them because of Kolin then return them.

(Zappos pays return shipping.)

I would be disinclined to abuse Zappos for Nike's behaviour.

It does not matter if they do.
The flag was not and is not a symbol of hate by the majority who hold it in proper regard. A very few (WS) bigots may use it as a symbol for themselves, and a greater number of (leftest/or non-whites) bigots may try and make it a symbol of hate, but it does no more make it so, anymore than standing in a McDonald's makes one a Big Mac.

Never let anyone take that which is yours without protest.

The Valley Forge/Betsy Ross flag is a symbol of those seeking to toss off slavery and tyranny, ironic that the people seeking its demise are missing the point that it is truly the "closest" symbol to their cause.

But like all things with a leftest twistedness, the 180 degree truth is revealing.

Destroy the true meaning of this banner because otherwise those of the left and other's against it prove that their rhetoric of "still slaves to the white man/white privileged, Right Wing/Conservative Entitlement" and all the other arguments have no basis of truth other than the few extremest who simply stand in the back of the room, and are therefor "on our side" as seen from the other side of the room.

You want my symbols, and other things I hold dear? Come, take, but pack a lunch.
