Preaching to the choir, but I'll still give it an amen.

Amazing a somewhat smart Avaniti can't blackmail them, but a shitty,. Dumb quarterback can?

Funny thing is if he actually cared about football he could have worked his way back from a #2 or renegotiated with SF. All he had to do was not distrub America's real passtime and disrespect our country. He chose to be blackballed, he's toxic.

The LGS here has a floor mat when you enter their store - its a Colon Krapernick jersey. People travel for miles just to wipe their feet on it.

In honor of this, I bought a 48 star flag to arrive in time and fly for Independence Day from AZ Flags, made in Arizona, USA. I have a pre-war bent, and this was done to compensate for the Betsy Ross flag I ordered that didn’t say where it was made. Hopefully, I’ll be flying both off the fixture on the front of my house by Thursday morning.

Kneel for this, asshole. Mad

Obviously the flag means nothing to Nike. It was just a marketing ploy to sell a pretty shoe anyway. The ONLY thing Nike sells is athletic gear, not patriotism nor anything else ... though they will use that to sell athletic gear. Aside from that, about the last place a flag belongs is on a shoe that's walked on all day ... or stomped on continuously while running. If you can't properly display the flag and still want patriotic accoutrements, use red white and blue bunting. The shoe should have had a bunting design or theme of some sort rather than a flag.

Somewhat ironic that the freedom Kaepernick enjoys to complain about the flag was earned under that same flag. Had it not been for that flag, and those who died to make it fly, Kaepernick would have no constitutional right to free speech.

Go figure.

Cotton is associated with slavery, too. Perhaps he should stick to synthetics, avoid any state that grows tobacco, skip any of the original 13 states on principle, and drink copious amounts of tea. He can surrender his rights while he's at it, as those were developed during a time of slavery, too, and also his citizenship: a product of a time of slavery as well.

Colin Kaepernick is no different than Dennis Rodman. And to use a line from a sports writer from back in the 90's, the sad thing is that there are still people in this country that think Colin Kaepernick actually stands for something besides himself.

So let me get this straight.
One persons feelings about a sneaker with a flag on them can cause a company to scrap potential millions and millions of dollars worth of merchandise.
Boy I am glad I am not one of their stock holders.
Maybe they need to run all of their designs through him from now on Roll Eyes .

Actions have consequences. Arizona governor Doug Ducey has announced the state will pull its incentives for building a plant there. Oops.

Nike, the athletic shoe giant, has pulled a product off the shelves in response to a storm of social-media protest. The product was a sneaker collaboration with sportswear brand Undercover, whose principal designer, Jun Takahashi, published these unspeakable words on Twitter: “No extradition. Go Hong Kong!”

Nike says it made the decision “based on feedback from Chinese consumers.” Just so.

The context is this: Hong Kong, a free, liberal, democratic, self-governing city was handed over to the powers that be in Beijing — a clutch of corrupt, brutal, dishonest, organ-harvesting, gulag-operating murderers — as part of an agreement with the United Kingdom, who once had sovereignty over Hong Kong as a colonial power. Beijing wants Hong Kong to be more like the rest of China, and the people of Hong Kong do not. They recently took to the streets to force the reversal of a decision that would have subjected Hong Kong residents to extradition to the so-called People’s Republic of China for certain crimes rather than be tried in Hong Kong under Hong Kong law. Because the junta in Beijing has no compunction about drumming up charges for political purposes, this would have represented a noose around the neck of every dissident in Hong Kong. Jun Takahashi tweeted his support for liberal democrats against mass-murdering national socialists.

And Nike sided with the mass-murdering national socialists.

so what does Nike do with all those shoes?

dump them, (really doubt it, they still have some value)

betting they get 'dumped' on the market in some 3rd world country as a 'donation'

next time you see news coverage of some tin pot dictator's issues on TV, and maybe in Africa, there will be folks in the background wearing those shoes,,

Accounted destruction. A big shredder. Pairs which make it past inventory will be assumed to be stolen.

Betsy Ross was a creative woman of colonial times. Her sewing of a flag turned into a racist rant? What's next? Irregularly-shaped 'artisan' loaves of bread recall a racist past? But mass-produced, rectangular bread is a product of a capitalistic system ... Hmmm, we want and NEED a brain like K-Man to TELL us what to think!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I'm really proud of our Governor. Arizona was planning on giving Nike tax incentives to build a new plant here and, after Nike's announcement to pull these shoes, Governor Ducey told them to pound sand.

“Instead of celebrating American history the week of our nation’s independence, Nike has apparently decided that Betsy Ross is unworthy, and has bowed to the current onslaught of political correctness and historical revisionism. It is a shameful retreat for the company. American businesses should be proud of our country’s history, not abandoning it.

“Nike has made its decision, and now we’re making ours. I’ve ordered the Arizona Commerce Authority to withdraw all financial incentive dollars under their discretion that the State was providing for the company to locate here. Arizona’s economy is doing just fine without Nike. We don’t need to suck up to companies that consciously denigrate our nation’s history.”
