Yes.

Well you can count on this if Obama was in office they'd be praising how quickly they are being developed and distributed, and say to have this many in the pipeline thus far shows the strong leader he is. Under his leadership the United States will join hands (metaphorically, cause gross) and fight through this unfair curse brought upon us from foreign a nation.

Well our POS Governor (DeWine) wanted to delay/postpone the primary elections tomorrow. He went to the courts to request this and they told him to pound sand for a myriad of reasons.

Well the asshole is declaring a public health emergency and is shuttering the polls anyway.

I am never voting for this POS again (don't care if we get a Dem governor as the state house and senate will remain Republican).

Just sent the horses ass a note expressing my feelings.

Delaying elections... Unbelievable.

I'm at the urologists office today, sitting in the little room waiting for the doctor to show up. A routine follow-up visit for prostate surgery a couple years back. I'm thinking how he always shakes hands. We're both in that danger age.

The door opens, he kinda peeks around the corner looking very somber, maybe apprehensive. As I stand he gets a open-eyed look, raises his elbow like "Get it?" I DO, we bump elbows and break into big smiles. I compliment him on being such a modern guy and we have a very pleasant few minutes together. That said, we're both worried.

Now back to your regular programming...

If they had a shit ton of hand sanitizer on hand and masks it'd probably best to move it up. Or rent out McDonald's and have drive thru voting. Scan IDs first window, record vote at second window by on finger count, one for Commie, two for Bidet.

It really depends on what one does or needs from the internet.

Somethings (YouTube, etc) have/use an enormous, geographically distributed, physical infrastructure with an enormous amount of capacity and the ability to shift needs from Zone A to B and whatnot.

Other things, like the Cable or any other last mile that connects your neighborhood, not so much.

Apartment Dwellers will be hating it, probably. Some master planned communities, etc.

In other words, it's more likely to result in some having problems getting to the destination because of congestion along the way, not from overwhelming the destination itself, for anything of size.

JoeBillyRonnieBob's Ammo Reloading Page hosted on his local ISP's server is different story.

That's it! It's actually a pretty complicated calculation, but you can look at it as the number of people someone would infect during the course of their infectious period, in a completely susceptible population (R0 of 1 would mean 1 person would infect 1 other person). It's a measure of the "contagiousness" of a disease. This is a little more digestible:

https://www.healthline.com/hea...-reproduction-number

What the number means for SARS-CoV-2 (likely around 4) is that it will spread quickly - more quickly than the flu. The hope is that the calculated Case Fatality Rate (a measure of deaths compared to exposures) is lower than it appears from the data (and I believe is because actual exposures are really an unknown now). A high R0 and a high CFR are a bad combination.

House staffers confirmed on Monday that Democrat House members will indefinitely delay their scheduled March 23 return to the Capitol, due to coronavirus.

Aides say Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer told House Democrats that the scheduled return will be delayed, with a firm return date still to be determined.

“Hoyer said for sure not Monday, and he will update them about the rest of the week,” an aide told The Hill on Monday, adding that travel concerns may affect the decision. “This is all pending domestic travel situation too,” he said

I had a flight physical today. The flight surgeon is a pulmonary specialist, and we had a chat after we got done. He was wearing an N95 mask, along with his office staff. There was a sign advising anyone who arrived sick, to stop outside, and a mask would be brought to them.

He said he expects several hundred patients within the next few weeks, and is already working with several. He expects to be overwhelmed (and I suspect, though he didn't say, that he expects to get the virus, too).

I've been directed to work remotely until further notice; my employer provides essential services. Remote work will prove a blessing as I'll be able to function without interruption.

Wife is a nurse; her hospital has finally restricted visitations, they are still performing elective surgeries at the moment. They have 2 COVID-19 cases at her facility. She's expressed zero concern about infection, she is pissed her hospital has been slow to impose restrictions on visitation and elective surgery. They are experiencing significant consumption of isolation PPE.

In Oregon restaurants and bars are reduced to closure or take-out only, gathering are limited to 25 persons. Food is flying off the shelves. Roads are quiet. And I'm still getting robocalls from purported Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

I havnt been down south to see all the panic buying but up here in AK, I’m using the time off work to fill my freezer with caribou, I got 4 today and we’re going tomorrow (6 more tags). There is still stuff on the shelves at the store. We’re also catching up on some ice fishing and ammo loading.

Must have been a glitch. It worked for me and was an informative article.

My wife’s a nurse and my younger daughter is a medical intern about to start her residency. They’re both very concerned about what may be coming. Fortunately, postponement of most procedures except for those dealing with emergencies has cut hospital censuses so there’s more beds available for possible Coronavirus victims.
