Looks like New Jersey is giving up school mask requirements. Is the governor getting on board with real science and the reality that Covid is never going away and that we need to get on with our lives, or is it a leftist ploy before the midterms that they’ll rescind after elections are complete? It seems a lot of blue states (or cities) are doing the same; I have a hard time believing they are doing it for any other reason.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) will reportedly lift the mask requirement in state schools for both students and employees in March.

The New York Times reported that the mandate in New Jersey schools will end in the second week of March, roughly two years after the pandemic began.

One week ago, Murphy he signaled that his state will need to "learn how to live" with the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We're not going to manage this to zero. We have to learn how to live with this," Murphy said of the pandemic on NBC's "Meet the Press."

According to local news outlet NJ.com, 102,237 students and 28,583 school staff members have been infected this school year through the week ending Jan. 30.

The reported move to end the statewide mandate in New Jersey comes after federal officials approved the COVID-19 vaccine for children as young as 5 years old and Pfizer said it has begun applying for authorization for its COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 6 months to 4 years.

Cases in the U.S. have fallen drastically from the peak during the omicron wave in mid-January, from approximately 800,000 new cases per day to about 350,000 per day, which is still quite high.

Murphy's office did not immediately respond to The Hill's request for comment.

I hope but am not optimistic that an honest accounting of that is done. There are many people responsible for millions of deaths because they intentionally suppressed such therapies. And there are many others who negligently assisted, such as mainstream media and partisan politicians.

We have yet to see any action against those who sent C19 positive patients into senior care facilities.

The cost of the lockdowns will become apparent over the next several years. There should be feet held to the fire on those policies, too.

Since February 4, the mandate of imposing full and booster vaccination from Austrian citizens has entered force in the country. As a result, President Alexander Van der Bellen has signed the new law, according to which all adults residing in the country have to be vaccinated or risk being fined €600, starting from March 15.

Except for specific categories, such as pregnant people, those with health conditions affected by vaccines, and those who have been previously infected with COVID-19, the rest are required to get vaccinated, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.

From March 15, authorities will begin conducting random checks for vaccination certificates, including traffic stops. Moreover, according to this vaccine mandate, which is set to expire on January 31, 2024, people can be fined up to four times a year, with fines increasing up to €3,400.

According to The Times, the Austrian government plans to create an official registry of everyone who has been vaccinated and give those fined due vaccination dates, which can result in more fines.

However, the European Member States have adopted different approaches to the matter. For example, Germany, which, together with Austria, has some of the highest vaccination rollouts in the EU, intends to have more stringent measures in place. On the other hand, Denmark ended numerous COVID-19 imposed restrictions thanks to high vaccination rollouts.

Nonetheless, while authorities have decided to tighten COVID-19 rules, they have lifted the requirement for a pre-entry test, which was imposed previously as a preventive measure.

“From February 1, 2022, two-dose vaccinations are only valid for 180 days in Austria (exception: 210 days for under 18-year-olds). However, for ENTERING, the 270 days remain in place. The booster vaccination is valid for 270 days in both scenarios,” the Austrian authorities explained.

According to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) data, 72.8 per cent of the Austrian population has received primary vaccination, about 2.3 per cent more than the average EU/EEA population uptake. Moreover, 54.1 per cent has received the booster shot.

Similarly, vaccination rates in Germany are amongst the highest in the EU, as 74 per cent is fully vaccinated and 52.8 per cent has received the additional dose.

On the other hand, Denmark has an average of 81.5 per cent fully vaccinated inhabitants, while 83.2 per cent is partially vaccinated, and 61.2 per cent received the booster shot.

In addition, the World Health Organisation (WHO) data reveals that 231,697 positive cases have been registered in Austria in the last seven days, in addition to 84 deaths. Moreover, since the pandemic started, 1,968,963 positive cases and 13,671 deaths have been registered.

Work starts our mandates next week, was just going to do the testing, but if I'm reading it correctly it's so onerous that I'd probably miss every Monday and Tuesday waiting for results, assuming I could even find any company open to test me after 8pm on a Sunday night. I thought I could snap a pic of a at home test and submit it, but if you use an at home test it must be witnessed by a health professional.

The expiration date for the Pfizer shots currently in Israel's possession has been extended by two weeks, Channel 12 reported on Sunday.

According to the report, Health Clinics were notified of the extension on Thursday. The original expiration date was supposed to be this coming Wednesday.

The extension concerns some unused 250,000 shots which would otherwise be "thrown in the trash," amid a dramatic decline in demand for the shots in recent weeks, the report said.

Senior Health Clinic officials told Channel 12 that "the health ministry is no longer doing enough to encourage vaccination. We are ourselves trying in the clinics, but it is not enough. It is painful to see the vaccination complexes empty, with nobody coming."

Six-year-old Milo Edberg was alert and walking in early December before he got the COVID-19 vaccine. Now, he's confined to a hospital bed, diagnosed with myocarditis, unable to walk.



Milo Edberg is a six-year-old child who received the COVID-19 vaccine on Dec. 10. Two days later, he was back in the hospital, where he remains, unable to even swallow his own saliva.

“He was perfectly fine and then he wasn’t,” his mother, Carrie, told Alpha News.

Milo’s life has never been easy. Born a micro-preemie at just 23 weeks, he’s battled chronic lung disease his entire life. Despite his struggles, however, he learned to walk and his mother said he was alert and expressive in early December when a doctor at M Health Fairview’s Masonic Children’s Hospital decided that he needed the COVID vaccine.

He was in the hospital for a port placement to help with some blood sugar issues. That port placement was considered minor surgery and all went well.

Milo’s mother said she didn’t want her son to get the shot. Only three Minnesota children under the age of 10 have died of the virus since the coronavirus pandemic began two years ago — yet his doctor said that he was at special risk of having a severe case.

Ultimately, Carrie abided by the doctor’s recommendation after being told that the shot was safe and harmless. “I went against my gut and said OK, do it,” she said.

“Unfortunately, you can’t go back in time,” she now recalls. “I support vaccines, but this one has been tough.”

Milo was vaccinated Dec. 10 and discharged from the hospital hours later. He was “gasping for air” at home later the next evening, Carrie said. She dialed 911 as her son’s symptoms progressed. Young Milo was transported back to Masonic on the 12th where he was intubated and diagnosed with myocarditis. He remained intubated for a month and a half and is still in the hospital nearly two months later. He can’t sit up on his own.

In all of this time, the doctors haven’t been able to clearly explain Milo’s affliction, his mother said.

“They literally have no answers,” she commented.

Doctors haven’t even been able to provide a timeline for when Milo might be able to return home or predict if he will be able to regain any quality of life.

Before the vaccine, Carrie said her son was “eating on his own [but] now he can’t even swallow his saliva.” She said he gained so many skills last year and was doing very well.

Videos that show the child walking before he was vaccinated also contrast sharply with images supplied by his mother that show him intubated, laying helpless in the hospital.

Meanwhile, “they [the doctors at Masonic] won’t bring up the vaccine” when talking about Milo’s situation, Carrie reported.

“Milo has had amazing care at Masonic. But it is weird they won’t bring up the vaccine. They just brush it off,” she said.

However, she was able to file her own VAERS report in late January, and Milo reportedly received a 10-15 minute visit from infectious disease specialists who said they would file a report with the CDC and Pfizer early in his hospital stay. She has heard nothing about this since.

M Health Fairview said it cannot comment on an individual patient because of privacy laws and directed Alpha News to its FAQ page on vaccines for children.

Can't sue pharma. But hopefully there are criminal and civil grounds to pursue the doctor and/or hospital that determined Milo 'needed' the shot.
