I’ve heard of people losing their smell and taste but not me. Everything is like an overpowering flavor explosion. Especially salty stuff. It’s like pouring 10 lbs of salt right on my tongue. Cheese is wildly tasteful. I’m having trouble eating because of it.

DHS Issues National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) Bulletin Release Date: February 7, 2022 https://www.dhs.gov/news/2022/...system-ntas-bulletin Summary: If you question the election or the vaccine mandates, you are a threat to the regime and we will call you a terrorist. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

^^^^ After all the undocumented invaders this administration has not only let in by the hundreds of thousands, but actually encouraged to come invade us, it’s no wonder they have to issue terror alerts. They have flooded this country with people that want to do us harm sprinkled in among the women and children. In fact, you could probably consider Biden a lead terrorist at this point. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

Everybody at my workplace, the latest one myself over the weekend, caught something. Splitting headache, body aches, a general feeling of tiredness, momentary vertigo, but no congestion or even a runny nose, although my voice got a little hoarse. Still good appetite and sense of taste. About two years ago I had the same symptoms. No idea if either were actual COVID or not. I don't want to be another "case."

Pfizer Quietly Adds Language Warning That 'Unfavorable Pre-Clinical, Clinical Or Safety Data' May Impact Business https://www.zerohedge.com/covi...l-or-safety-data-may Two weeks ago, the FDA begged a Texas judge to delay production on the first monthly batch of 55,000 pages of Covid-19 vaccine data submitted to the agency by Pfizer. Originally, the agency was set to produce just 500 pages-per-month. Now, Pfizer - which just forecast $54 billion in Covid-related sales in 2022, appears to be anticipating some bad news, as evidenced by several redline changes in their Q4 earnings releases. As Rubicon Capital's Kelly Brown notes on Twitter, the changes center around disclosures of unfavorable safety data. For example, in Q4 they added: "or further information regarding the quality of pre-clinical, clinical or safety data, including by audit or inspection." The company also notes that Covid-19 may "diminish in severity or prevalence, or disappear entirely." The money laundering scheme with our tax dollars is losing traction. The more truth about these snake oil “vaccines” that comes out, the better for all of us, including the fools to the left that shrieked at us for refusing to get it, wear their stupid, nearly useless masks, or somehow carry the “plague” to them despite the “vaccines inability to do what they claimed it would do. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

US CDC Adds Israel, Japan to List of Countries With ‘Very High’ COVID-19 Risk https://www.theepochtimes.com/..._campaign=2022-02-09 “Even if you are up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines, you may still be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19,” the CDC says, recommending that anyone 2 years or older wear a mask while in indoor public spaces. Some of the countries designated as “very high” risk, such as Israel, are among the most vaccinated in the world. Yep. You are not the only remaining person with problems with this. I'm glad we have Sigforum where we can connect with other sane people! “Even if you are up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines, you may still be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19,” the CDC says. Dear god I'm the opposite. I'm still suffering with weird smells and my brain not being able to identify smells. Anything my brain doesn't remember it gives it this one burnt herbal smell. That includes poop & coffee. So essentially coffee smells like a big cup of crap to me now. Train how you intend to Fight Remember - Training is not sparring. Sparring is not fighting. I made progress with a branch covidian! While debating vaccine mandates with a family member I said “remember that form you signed that said basically “we don’t know the long term effects of this nor do we know the longevity of the vaccines effectiveness”. It also said that you are not able to bring a law suit should you have an adverse reaction or something to that effect. They said yes. Ok progress. They remembered and acknowledged the paperwork that was anything but confidence inspiring. I then said “if you mandate an injection you now bear responsibility for any and all adverse reactions”. Does that not make sense that if you force someone to get jabbed or lose their job then if they die or have a reaction you now bear responsibility for forcing them to be injected. I then asked them if it is acceptable to mandate an injection while removing any responsibility or liability at the same time. To my shock they agreed that is wrong. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

My dad experienced the same effect. He went from a lifetime coffee drinker who probably drank 2 pots a day to not being able to drink it at all. He started drinking tea as that didn't seem to bother him the same way. It took a few months, but he finally got his senses back and can enjoy coffee again although he doesn't drink as much as he used to. "The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people." "Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy." "I did," said Ford, "it is." "So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?" "It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want." "You mean they actually vote for the lizards." "Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course." "But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?" "Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

It's weird how COVID affects everyone differently. Though I never actually lost my sense of taste and/or smell, both were diminished for a time. After a year since having recovered from COVID (presumably the 'Alpha variant), the only 'known'/apparent lasting effect is that certain 'sweet' odors now all smell the same to me. Whether is fruity shower gel, flavored coffee, or marshmallow fluff (there's more I'm sure, but you get the gist), they all have the same extremely sweet/fruity odor and are indiscernible from one another. My wife had a similar problem, only she thought she was smelling fungus or something. I did not have that problem. I lost about half my taste and smell. It started coming back soon after most or all the other symptoms started going away. I think I'm back to 100%. I never smelled anything weird. I just couldn't smell. My wife thinks her taste and smell are still somewhat impaired. Funny story: After I was cleared to go out and about I went to my local coffee roaster and bought a stupidly-expensive pound of freshly-roasted, whole bean, 100% pure Kona coffee for the holidays. While driving home with that coffee in the seat next to me a thought impinged on my consciousness: "Why can't I smell freshly-roasted, as in still warm from roasting, coffee?" Then it hit me: I'd just spent a stupid amount of money on coffee I mostly wouldn't be able to taste "America is at that awkward stage. I eat very hot foods. My favorite is Thai as hot as they will make it. I have chronic pain and the effect of the heat/pain stimulates a reaction and I get hours of relief and a good night's sleep. I also thoroughly enjoy the taste of various peppers, especially habanero and similar varieties. Anytime I have head congestion or upper respiratory issues, I go to hot peppers in soups or other dishes that get it up in my sinuses. Again, mostly Thai. This gets things flowing, helps drain and flush my sinuses. Even if it only provides temporary relief, I'll take that. Both times I got the China Virus, I went to the hot stuff. (and the second time, I pushed myself through the whole time with heavy physical exertion, rather than bed rest and it was about like a bad cold for 3-4 days), first time I lost smell and taste and as soon as I could eat the really hot stuff, I found my sense of smell came back a few days after. I don't know if it had anything to do with it or not, but if anyone having that problem would try that, I would be interested to know if it makes a difference. (The difference in my experience with the severity and length from first time to second time with this crap, may simply have been different "variant". But I am glad that both times, it has not been serious for me, as it has been for others.) "the meaning of life, is to give life meaning" ✡ Ani Yehudi אני יהודי Le'olam lo shuv לעולם לא שוב!

My tolerance for hot spice has gone way up. I can smell a grape but not bleach. Taste is all over the place and like mentioned coffee is different. If I drink it black it tastes really strong but add a little cream and sugar and I lose all coffee taste and can only taste the sweet. I'm alright it's the rest of the world that's all screwed up!

I too had COVID last year at this time and lost both my sense of smell and taste. However after about 5 months noticed that it started to come back. I too think my tolerance for hot spicy foods has gone up. Last weekend I had some Thai Pad Thai noodles and asked for thai hot and when when my dish came I asked for the hot pepper tray and added even more hot red flakes of pepper. Few months ago my BIL made some home made ghost pepper mead and no one was able to drink more than a sip, however I drank the whole bottle and did not even think it was hot. Just sharing my experience. God Bless !!! "Always legally conceal carry. At the right place and time, one person can make a positive difference."
