If he's not going to be Trump's running mate, I still really want to see him offered a very visible, vocal position in his administration. We need guys like this shouting truth from the mountain tops.

Viveks making everyone on the stage look pathetic. I wish DeSantis had never gotten into the race. He did some great things for Florida, but this is absolutely not the time for him to run.

It sounds like DeSantis actually had a pretty decent night (and he shouted out the greatest President before Donald Trump, my man Calvin Coolidge), but Vivek was just a Rockstar.

Nikki and Christie by all accounts were pathetic.

The flip side of the coin is that he showed us who he really is. He's a political animal, not a true believer in Making America Great Again. He threw Trump under the bus. If he did it now, or four years from now, he'd still be the same guy. Maybe we dodged a bullet instead.

I've heard speculation that the never-Trumpers and Lincoln Project assholes realized that a Trump-DeSantis ticket would be a winner they couldn't stop, and they got in DeSantis' ear to end-run that instead. His campaign has been mismanaged at so many turns they've made him look like a total clown. That hurts DeSantis, it doesn't help Trump, and it gives someone like Nikki Haley a shot when she wouldn't have had a chance against Trump-DeSantis. Sounds reasonable to me.

So, high level, Chris and Nikki are swamp monsters, Ron has potential and line of sight to shore, Vivek is on land already. Is this the general characterization?

Well in all fairness, you can care all you like but these debates are a complete waste of time while giving airtime to people who will never be President. I like Vivek and I’m watching him closely in hopes he gets a very visible spot in the next Trump administration. Trump will be the nominee and if he is not it will be because the left have subverted this election and moved this country to irreparable repair. I liked DeSantis before he got into the race and would struggle to plug my nose and vote for him. I will never vote for Christie or Haley! Period! They do not deserve the airtime they are receiving. They are causing division in a group that should be united in fighting the Obama/Biden left and the bureaucracy that is destroying our Republic. The only shining light about these debates is that we have Vivek to act as a Trump surrogate and peel the curtain back for all to see. There is zero upside for Trump to step in the ring with a 40+ percent lead. Vivek is a patriot for the work he’s doing.

I think that's right. I don't know what the future brings for Vivek, but I'm glad he's on that stage exposing these clowns. Cool

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

How is it a waste of time when guys like Vivek are tearing those people apart that support all these establishment policies? Not to mention giving the morons plenty of rope to do the job themselves. He gets his message out to a lot of people, and even more in the clips the next day. Some of the people in the debate might be waste of time, but having a public forum like that is not when done correctly.

Yes, we did.

DeSantis has proven himself to be a pure politician, who used people, used MAGA to his advantage, then burned them and tossed them away when he was done with it. He's no different than Christie or Pence; they pretended to be on board the MAGA train, but in truth only rode it when it was to their benefit and advantage. IMO, DeSantis is not only done in 2024, but 2028 as well.

It’s a waste of time because the establishment selected members of the left to moderate them. This is not a showcase of ideals for the center right to see the difference between what we currently are enduring to what possible solutions we could vote in. The left would never select people on the right to moderate their debate. We should be united against the Keynesian economic policies of the left and the irreparable damage they are doing to our country. We should be united against the weaponized bureaucracy that is undoing our constitutional rights every day. Instead a couple of empty windbags argue about sending our resources to Ukraine, the most corrupt place on this earth. I don’t give a crap about Ukraine or the predicament they find themselves in today. These idiots have no support and never have. They are being legitimized by the leftists that are moderating these sham debates. Without Vivek, this would have been a disaster. Yes, yesterday he absolutely destroyed “the surging” Nimarata Haley! Her blank stare and puckering lips were a punch that at least put that bird brain on the canvas.
